Cardonnel Halt railway station

Light Vessel 72 (also known by its identification number LV72) was a light vessel of Trinity House, a British lighthouse authority. Constructed in Sunderland in 1903 she served as a navigational beacon in the British Isles until the Second World War. From June 1944 she was positioned off Normandy to mark a mineswept shipping lane used for the Operation Overlord landings. After the war she was stationed in the Bristol Channel until sold for scrap in 1973. Saved by the intervention of a scrapyard manager, she has lain on a mud bank in Neath, Wales, ever since. Several proposals have been made to restore her.

Coedffranc Central is bounded by the wards of Coedffranc West to the southwest; Coedffranc North to the north; Dyffryn to the east; and Neath East and Briton Ferry West to the south east. Ynysygerwn Football Club is a Welsh football club based in Aberdulais, situated approximately two miles from Neath town centre. The club currently competes in the Ardal Leagues South West, the third tier of the Welsh football pyramid. Ynysygerwn has three senior football sides along with a youth academy which runs teams from Under 6s to Under 18s. The first team currently play their home games at Llandarcy Academy of Sport, the training ground of the Ospreys rugby union team, while the rest of the teams play at Ynysygerwn Cricket Club. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1950, when the Glamorgan Second XI played the Gloucestershire Second XI in the 1950 Minor Counties Championship. The ground has held a further 19 Second XI fixtures for the Glamorgan Second XI in both the Second XI Championship and Second XI Trophy.Glamorgan played Oxford University in a first-class match in 1971, the only first-class match that the ground has held.In local domestic cricket, the ground is the home venue of Llandarcy Cricket Club.
