Woodlands is an area of Glasgow, Scotland. Situated on the north-west edge of the city centre, Woodlands is located within Glasgow's fashionable West End, east of Hillhead, south of Woodside, north of the Park District and Kelvingrove Park, and west of Charing Cross and Garnethill. Woodlands has a substantial population of residents of Pakistani and Indian heritage, as well as a large number of students. The area is in the vicinity of the University of Glasgow and Glasgow School of Art. The housing stock mostly consists of 19th century terraces, townhouses, and blonde and red sandstone tenement housing, with modern redevelopment which is also predominantly in the tenement style.

Burnbank Park was a sports ground in Glasgow, Scotland. It was situated in the city's Woodlands area, found at Barrington Drive (between Great Western Road and Woodlands Road). No trace of the ground remains, having been built on by sandstone tenement housing in the late 19th century, which survives into the 21st century. The name endures locally with the Burnbank Bowling Club a few blocks to the south, founded in 1866, around the same time the sports grounds were coming into use for team sports.

The congregation was founded in 1864 and holds to the theology of the Thirty-nine Articles in the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. The church is a category B listed building

22 Park Circus is a 19th-century townhouse in the West End of Glasgow, Scotland. Originally a family home, it was later a club and an Italian consulate. From 1994 to 2013 the building housed the city's register office.

The Cathedral Church of St Mary the Virgin (Scottish Gaelic: Cathair-eaglais Naomh Moire), commonly called St Mary's Cathedral, is a cathedral of the Scottish Episcopal Church. It is located on the Great Western Road, in the west end of Glasgow, Scotland. The current building was opened on 9 November 1871 as St Mary's Episcopal Church and was completed in 1893 when the spire was completed. The architect was Sir Gilbert Scott. It was raised to cathedral status in 1908. The total height of the cathedral is 63 metres. The church structure is protected as a category A listed building.The other cathedrals in Glasgow are St Andrew's (Roman Catholic), St Luke's (Eastern Orthodox) and St Mungo's, the city's mediaeval cathedral, now used by the Church of Scotland, which has a presbyterian polity and does not use the term ‘cathedral’ to describe its churches.

St. Jude's Church is a place of worship of the Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland on Woodlands Road in Glasgow, Scotland. It is the largest church building of this denomination, constructed circa 1874-6 for the Woodlands United Presbyterian Church, later Woodlands United Free Church. The Free Presbyterian Bookroom is located in back rooms at the church. In the early 20th century, in a previous building also known as St Jude's, the name given to it by its previous owners, the congregation had an attendance of over 1,000, and was the largest Free Presbyterian congregation.

Websters is a theatre in Glasgow, Scotland. It also operates as a bar and restaurant. Websters occupies the building of the 19th-century former Lansdowne Parish Church.

Kelvinbridge is the common name of the Great Western Bridge, a cast iron road and pedestrian bridge located in the West End of the city of Glasgow, Scotland, built to carry the Great Western Road (A82) at a high level across the River Kelvin. Completed in 1891 by Bell & Miller, it replaced an older stone bridge (completed 1840), and has a similar design to the Partick Bridge crossing the same river, located a short distance to the south-west. It has been a Category A listed structure since 1986.In the early 19th century, the first Great Western Bridge (1825) provided a crossing point across the boundary of the city and into the neighbouring burgh of Hillhead, which was incorporated into the city later. It was at a low level, whereas the second, larger bridge was built over a high span.The river lends its name to adjacent places at several points along its course (Kelvindale, Kelvingrove Park, Kelvinhaugh and Kelvinside for example) and so there are several 'Kelvin Bridges', including one several miles away in Torrance. Adjacent to the bridge is Kelvinbridge subway station on the Glasgow Subway - one of the deepest on the circuit due to the proximity of the river - on the south east-side of the bridge. This was also the location of Kelvinbridge railway station on the Glasgow Central Railway. Due to these other uses, the name Kelvinbridge is also used to refer to the residential areas in the vicinity of the bridge, encompassing parts of the neighbourhoods of Woodside, Woodlands, Kelvinside and Hillhead. The Glasgow Academy private school is nearby on the Hillhead side of the valley, with Lansdowne Church (1863) - featuring a spire which at 66 metres (217 ft) is among the tallest structures in the city - on the opposite bank. Due to the proximity of the University of Glasgow, the Kelvinbridge locality accommodates many students. In 2019, the area was included in a list of the 50 "coolest neighbourhoods in the world" by Time Out magazine.

The Park District of the West End of the city of Glasgow, Scotland, is an affluent area located around Park Circus, which sits atop Woodlands Hill, beside Kelvingrove Park.

Kelvinbridge subway station is a Glasgow Subway station serving the Woodlands, Woodside and Hillhead areas of Glasgow, Scotland. It is named after the bridge crossing the River Kelvin, next to the station. This station is one of the two serving Kelvingrove Park, the other being Kelvinhall. The station – along with the rest of the Subway system – was opened in 1896 and closed for refurbishment in 1977, reopening in 1980. It retains the original island platform layout, and is by far the busiest station to retain this configuration. The station has a car park, built on the site of the goods yard at Kelvinbridge on the Stobcross to Maryhill Central line. The station is the deepest station in the network due to its close proximity to the River Kelvin, and was originally entered through a tenement block on South Woodside Road with access to Great Western Road via an external cast iron staircase descending from the eponymous bridge. Following modernisation, a purpose-built surface-level ticket hall has offered direct access to the new main entrance on Great Western Road via a glass-enclosed escalator. The former station entrance is now the emergency exit from today's station, the emergency exit being marked by red doors at the bottom of the iron staircase, and "keep clear" signs.

Arlington Baths Club is a non-profit member-run swimming club in Glasgow. It is housed in a purpose-built Category A Listed Building that opened on 1 August 1871. The Arlington Baths Club was the first swimming club in Glasgow. The building is in the Charing Cross area and was part of the westward development of the city. Built largely in the traditional tenement idiom, albeit with some extraordinary flourishes such as the famous Charing Cross Mansions, this area quickly attracted the well-off middle class residents who also constituted the membership of the Arlington Baths Club. The Club was therefore created on the doorstep of its membership, the great majority of whom lived within easy walking distance. From this emerged the traditions of the Club. The membership appeared first thing in the morning before going to work and returned in the evening after work, before going home in a regular twice daily ritual. A replica of Arlington Baths was built soon after in London, whither the drawings of the Arlington were spirited sometime towards the end of the 19th century, never to be seen again. This building was bombed during the Second World War and was never rebuilt. The building of the Arlington Baths coincided with the implementation of the first of the Public Health acts in 1870 and was considered by some to be the precursor to the growth of public bathing in the UK.
