Aberuthven (; Gaelic: Obar Ruadhainn) is a small village in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. It lies approximately 2+1⁄2 miles (4 kilometres) northeast of Auchterarder and 10 miles (16 kilometres) southwest of Perth at an elevation of 128 feet (39 metres). It lies on the A824 road, formerly the A9, having been bypassed along with Auchterarder since 1983. The village is centred on the village hall, with a historic church just outside the village. The population has almost doubled in recent years.

Strathearn or Strath Earn (, from Scottish Gaelic: Srath Èireann) is the strath of the River Earn, in Scotland, extending from Loch Earn in the West to the River Tay in the east. Strathearn was one of the original provinces of the Kingdom of Alba, and was led by a mormaer and then an Earl. The province was bounded on the north by Atholl, north west by Breadalbane, south west by Menteith, south east by Fife, and on the east by Perthia.

Auchterarder railway station served the village of Auchterarder near Gleneagles in the Scottish county of Perth and Kinross.

The Community School of Auchterarder (TCSoA) (formerly Auchterarder High School) is a small to medium-sized school with a nursery, primary and secondary department located in Auchterarder, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. The school also contains a modern leisure complex consisting of a large indoor hall and outside all-weather courts, which is also home to Auchterarder Gymnastics Club. The school continues to grow with more than 500 pupils in both Primary and Secondary. The building of various housing developments in the local area have contributed to the increasing roll. In addition to the Primary pupils within the Community School of Auchterarder, the feeder schools for the Secondary are Dunning Primary, Aberuthven Primary and Blackford Primary. Dunning railway station served the village of Dunning, Perth and Kinross, Scotland from 1848 to 1956 on the Scottish Central Railway.

Aytoun Hall, also referred to as Auchterarder Town Hall, is a municipal building in the High Street, Auchterarder, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. The structure, which is currently used as community events venue, is a Category C listed building.

Kincardine Castle is a 19th-century manor house near Auchterarder in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. The building lies 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) south-west of the town, on the Ruthven Water. The Gothic house was constructed in 1801–1803, and is a category B listed building. The remains of an earlier 14th century keep, also named Kincardine Castle, are located nearby (56°16′46″N 3°42′06″W). The ruined keep was demolished in 1645. Little remains today beyond its rectangular foundations.

Auchterarder ( ; Scottish Gaelic: Uachdar Àrdair, meaning Upper Highland) is a town north of the Ochil Hills in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, and home to the Gleneagles Hotel. The 1+1⁄2-mile-long (2.5-kilometre) High Street of Auchterarder gave the town its popular name of "The Lang Toun" or Long Town. The modern town is a shopping destination with a variety of independent shops and cafes.

Old Kincardine Castle was a 13th-century castle near Auchterarder in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. The castle was located on a promontory overlooking the glen. Sir David de Graham of Cardross received the lands of Kincardine from the Earl of Strathearn and started construction of the castle shortly afterwards. It formed a quadrangle, surrounded by a moat. Queen Mary of Scotland stayed at Kincardine on a journey during 1562. In 1579, John Stewart, 4th Earl of Atholl, Chancellor of Scotland, stayed at Kincardine on his way from Stirling, whereupon he suddenly took ill and died at the castle. The castle held out for ten days under artillery fire from the forces of John Middleton, during the Wars of the Three Kingdoms, until the well failed, forcing the garrison to surrender. The castle was dismantled by the Archibald Campbell, 1st Marquess of Argyll in 1645. Only small fragments remain. In 1660, its stones were used to build a new local church in Auchterarder. The new Kincardine Castle was built nearby in the 19th century by James Johnston.

Madderty is a village in Strathearn, Perth and Kinross. It lies on the former railway line connecting Perth and Crieff. The Gask Ridge and its Roman road lie to the south and the remains of Inchaffray Abbey to the north. Madderty is mentioned in a charter of about 1200, at which time there was a church dedicated to Saint Ethernan in the village. The prominent agricultural zoologist Dr Daniel MacLagan FRSE (1904-1991) was born on Williamstone Farm here and later ran the farm.

Findo Gask is a small village in Perth and Kinross in Scotland, just off the main A9 road. It is in Strathearn. There are nearby remains associated with the Roman Road to the south and the Roman Frontier on the Gask Ridge. The area was associated with the family of Laurence Oliphant, and his daughter, the songwriter Lady Nairne, was born there.During the Second World War, units of the Polish Army were stationed at Findo Gask Airfield (now disused).The woodlands around Findo Gask are known to be excellent sites for the collection of truffles, particularly black truffles, and truffle hunters can often be observed there during certain seasons.Gask House was built here in 1801 designed by Richard Crichton a pupil of Robert Adam.
