Thomas Walker Huey House is a historic home located near Lancaster, Lancaster County, South Carolina. It was built in 1847–1848, and is a simple, two-story, clapboard-sided, Greek Revival style dwelling . It has a full-façade one-story shed roof porch. Thomas Walker Huey (1798–1854) was a prominent 19th century merchant, planter, and politician.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

William Harrison Sapp House is a historic home located near Tradesville, Lancaster County, South Carolina. It was built about 1897, and extensively remodeled in 1912. It is a two-story Colonial Revival style frame residence with a one-story rear projection. It features a one-story hipped-roof wraparound porch, supported by Tuscan order columns. A small one-story gable-front frame drug store/office built in 1912, is located on the property. Dr. William Harrison Sapp (1866-1946), was a prominent local physician and farmer.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Craig House is a historic home located near Lancaster, Lancaster County, South Carolina. The House was originally owned by John Craig, Esquire, whose family originated in southwestern Scotland, immigrated to South Carolina from Northern Ireland in 1772. After receiving a land grant in Lancaster County from King George III, Craig bought additional land in the Waxhaws in 1773.John Craig, Esquire and several of his sons fought in the Revolutionary War battles that occurred in the vicinity. The current Craig House dates from the early 1830s, and was originally a federal-style farmhouse. In 1901, it was significantly enlarged with a Victorian front addition by John Edgar and Amanda Drennan Craig, who were married in 1883 at Kilburnie, then the residence of the Drennans.John E. Craig Jr. inherited Craig house after the death of both parents in 1989. His twin brother Bill Craig restored the house over a two-year period. in 2002 a wing was added in the back to accommodate the furnishings of the vacated Manhattan apartment. The old kitchen was removed in 2015 and replaced with a two-story addition and elevator. The fields and woods surrounding historic Craig House are all part of pre-Civil War Craig Farm, which included more than a thousand acres of the area between Highways 200 and 521 from Montgomery Lane to several miles north of Cane Creek. Craig Farm today consists of close to 400 acres, owned by the five siblings of the current Craig generation and Johannes Tromp, and is operated as a cattle farm by Bill Craig, the twin brother of Kilburnie partner John Craig.The House is a two-story, originally L-shaped, frame clapboard covered frame dwelling, with several rear additions. It features a porch and second story balcony.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Jackson Township, population 11,012, is one of nine townships in Union County, North Carolina. Jackson Township is 59.14 square miles (153.2 km2) in size and is located in southwest Union County. This township includes the towns of Waxhaw and Mineral Springs and are located on the north side.

The Battle of Wahab's Plantation was a surprise attack on a Loyalist camp, which included elements of the British Legion commanded by Banastre Tarleton (although at the time of the battle Tarleton had yellow fever and was not in command), by Patriot militia under the command of William R. Davie on September 21, 1780. The owner of the plantation was militia Captain James A. Walkup who served as a guide for Davie prior to the attack. Confusion has arisen over the spelling of the name Wahab as there are many spellings of the surname including, Walkup/Wahab/Wauchope/Waughup. The Loyalists were camped on the west side of the Catawba River while General Charles Cornwallis' army had camped on the east side. Davie opportunistically decided to attack the Loyalist camp, and succeeded in driving them back in complete surprise and with heavy casualties. He retreated before the British regulars arrived. The latter, in revenge for the attack, burned down Captain Walkup's house.

It is one of the four regional Palmetto Colleges in the University of South Carolina System. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and offers associate degrees and bachelor's degrees. As of 2017, more than 1,900 students attended the college at its campus in the Piedmont region of South Carolina. USC Lancaster is governed by the University of South Carolina Board of Trustees. The campus has four local affiliate groups: the Lancaster County Commission for Higher Education, the Educational Foundation of USC Lancaster, the USC Lancaster Board of Visitors, and the Town Gown Advisory Council.

Leroy Springs House, also known as Lancaster City Hall, is a historic home located at Lancaster, Lancaster County, South Carolina. The original section was built in 1820–30. The house was greatly enlarged in the mid-1850s and it took its present appearance in a 1906-07 remodeling. It is a two-story, frame residence. The façade features a two-tiered pedimented portico defined by fluted columns with Doric order-influenced capitals. The building was converted to municipal use as a city hall in 1957.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

North Carolina-South Carolina Cornerstone is a historic boundary marker located near Lancaster, Lancaster County, South Carolina. It was erected in 1813, and is located on the boundary between Lancaster County, South Carolina and Union County, North Carolina. The cornerstone was erected by commissioners appointed by the two states to survey the boundary between the western termination of the boundary line which had been run in 1764 and to the southeast corner of Catawba lands. The cornerstone is an uneven, rectangular, upright metamorphosed igneous stone marker approximately two feet high. The top part of the cornerstone, which contains the engraved notations, "N.C." and "S.C." was broken off when a car hit the marker in 1977. On the portion of the stone remaining at the original site can be seen "A.D. 1818."It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

It was built in 1897, and is a rectangular, two-story, frame clapboard covered Queen Anne style dwelling. It has a tall, hipped roof with intersecting gables and diamond novelty shingle covered gable ends.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Lancaster Downtown Historic District is a national historic district located at Lancaster, Lancaster County, South Carolina. It encompasses 12 contributing commercial buildings in central business district of Lancaster. The buildings date from about 1880 to 1935. It is the most intact section of Lancaster's early business area. Notable building include the United States Post Office, the Springs Block, the Farmers’ Bank and Trust Company Building, and the Bank of Lancaster/Opera House.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
