Gurgulyat

Delyan (Bulgarian: Делян) is a village in the Sofia Province, western Bulgaria, near the town of Breznik. The old historic name of the village is Karnul (Bulgarian: Кърнул). As of 2007, the village has only 18 permanent inhabitants. Delyan is located in the municipality of Bozhurishte, 34 km west of Sofia on the eastern slopes of Viskyar Mountain with an average altitude of 790 meters. Its houses are nestled in a valley between three small peaks of Viskyar. It is named after the leader of the Bulgarian uprising against the Byzantine Empire (1040-1041) and for a short time Tsar (Emperor) of Bulgaria, Peter II Delyan. Administratively, the village is connected to the nearby village Zlatusha to which there is a tarmac road, built in early 1970s. It is close to the railroad Pernik-Voluyak, on the border between Sofia Province and Pernik Province, and nearby Dogandjia (Falconer), a remote neighborhood of Goz is in the Breznik Municipality. The village consists of 3 neighborhoods (mahali): Matsina and Rebrachka Mahala to the north of center, and Vanchina Mahala to the south of center. The church of St Mary, funded and built by local people on a hill near Delyan, was opened in the spring of 2008. To the south-west of Delyan, in the locality Ormana, there is a pine forest, planted in the 1970s. During favorable seasons, one can find there edible mushrooms, like saffron milk cap (Lactarius deliciosus) and sticky bun (Suillus luteus). Delyan is the birthplace of the writer Spas Antonov.

Petarch (Bulgarian: Петърч [pɛˈtɤrt͡ʃ]) is a village in Kostinbrod Municipality, Sofia Province, located in western Bulgaria approximately 5 km south-west of the town of Kostinbrod. In the centre there is a monument, several pubs and a computer club. There exists an Orthodox church and a school. There are several buses to Kostinbrod, Slivnitsa and Sofia. Petarch was first mentioned as Bedriç in an Ottoman record of 1448, later as Bedric in 1520, Petreiç in 1574, Petriç in 1728, Petriçe in 1519, 1574 and 1649. In the 17th-century Boyana Screed, it was listed as ПЄТРЪЧЪ. The official name was Petrich until 1934, when it was renamed to the current form. The toponym is derived from the personal name Peter (Bulgarian Petar, Петър).

Bankya (Bulgarian: Банкя [ˈbaŋkʲɐ]) is a small town located on the outskirts of Sofia in western Bulgaria. It is administratively part of Greater Sofia. The district is famous for the mineral springs and baths that have been used for medicinal purposes for hundreds of years. In 1969 the village of Bankya was proclaimed a town, and in 1979 it became part of Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. Bankya is 17 km west of capital Sofia. It is situated at the foot of Lyulin Mountain at an average elevation of around 630–750 meters. The first people to populate the region of Bankya were Thracian tribes, over 2500 years ago. Archaeological excavations near the quarter of Ivanyane have unearthed remains of Ancient Roman buildings, walls and sewers, and bronze bracelets from the 4th–5th century. Bankya's economy depends mainly on tourism and balneological treatment. Bankya was first mentioned as Banka in the 15th century. The former villages of Verdikal, Gradoman and Mihaylovo are part of the town itself, while Ivanyane and Klisura are part of the municipality. Bankya's name stems from the common noun bankya, "hot spring", a diminutive of banya ("baths").Bankya is the birthplace of the founder of GERB – Boyko Borisov, former Prime Minister of Bulgaria, Bankya is also a birth place of the rapper Anonimen

Golemo Bucino is a village in Southern Bulgaria. The village is located in Pernik Municipality, Pernik Province. Аccording to the numbers provided by the 2020 Bulgarian census, Golemo Buchino currently has a population of around 800 people with a permanent address registration in the settlement.

Beledie Han (Bulgarian: Беледие хан) is a settlement in Kostinbrod Municipality, Sofia Province (Western Bulgaria).

Lyulin (Bulgarian: Люлин or Люлин планина) is a range of hills in western Bulgaria, located several kilometres west of Sofia. The highest point is Dupevitsa Peak (1,256 m). The Buchino Pass divides the hills into two, a western and an eastern part. Bonsovi Polyani are a popular tourist attraction. On the slopes of Liulin are some of the most beautiful quarters of Sofia - Knyazhevo, Gorna Banya and Bankya, known with their mineral springs.

Bozhurishte (Bulgarian: Божурище [boˈʒuriʃtɛ]) is a town in western Bulgaria. It is the administrative center of Bozhurishte Municipality in Sofia Province; close to Kostinbrod and the capital Sofia. The old airport of Sofia, now a military one, is near the town. Bozhurishte was first mentioned in 1750. Its name is derived from the flower peony (Bulgarian: божур, bojur). soon to be part of Sofia city TEREM, a former weapons manufacturer owned by the government and recently sold to private investors operates from Bozhurishte. Logistics Park Bozhurishte is also part of the city economy and stands as the only large logistics, strategic storage and light industrial project in the small city.
