Blair County Courthouse is a historic courthouse building located at Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1875–1876, and is a "T" shaped stone building in the Gothic Revival style. The entrance is flanked by two square, three-story towers with truncated pyramidal roofs. The building generally features elaborate stonework and a five-story clock tower topped by a tall stone spire. A three-story rear addition was built in 1906.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Coal, iron ore, ganister, and limestone are found in the vicinity. In the past, the borough had foundries and machine shops, a silk mill, car works and classification yards. From 1834 to 1854, the borough was an important port on Pennsylvania Main Line Canal, where the Juniata Division Canal connected to the Allegheny Portage Railroad. The center of Hollidaysburg is frequently referred to as "The Diamond," where the buildings and parking spaces form a diamond. This area serves as the hub for parades, festivals and other town celebrations.

Highland Hall, also known as the Courthouse Annex, was a Presbyterian seminary, an historic school building for females, a radio school during World War II, and a county office building before it became a retirement home in 2016. It is located in Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania. Highland Hall was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

It is bordered to the northeast by Hollidaysburg, the county seat, and to the north by Duncansville. Interstate 99 forms the northwestern edge of the CDP, and Pennsylvania Route 36 forms the eastern edge. It is 9 miles (14 km) south of Altoona.

Setsucon is an annual two day anime convention held during January at the Blair County Convention Center in Altoona, Pennsylvania. The convention's name comes from the Japanese word setsu, meaning "snow". It is organized by the Penn State Anime Organization (PSAO). The convention is family-friendly.

Sci-Fi Valley Con (formerly Sci-Fi in the Valley Con) is an annual three day multi-genre convention held during June at the Blair County Convention Center in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
