Hampton Park is a public park located in peninsular Charleston, South Carolina, United States. At 60 acres (240,000 m2), it is the largest park on the peninsula. It is bordered by The Citadel to the west, Hampton Park Terrace to the south, North Central to the east, and Wagener Terrace to the north. The park is named in honor of Confederate General Wade Hampton III who, at the time of the Civil War, owned one of the largest collections of slaves in the South. After the Civil War, Hampton became a proponent of the Lost Cause movement, member of the Red Shirts and governor of South Carolina.

Rodney Scott's Whole Hog BBQ is a barbecue restaurant in Charleston, South Carolina. Specializing in pulled pork barbecue and owned by Rodney Scott and Nick Pihakis, it opened in February 2017.

McMahon Playground is a playground located between Hampton Park and Rutledge Ave. in Charleston, South Carolina, USA. The playground is named for Genevieve Kanapaux McMahon. She was, for nearly twenty years, the supervisor of the Hampton Park playground. The playground was named in her honor on October 2, 1999.In 2015, the Charleston Parks Conservancy undertook a renovation of the park. The project, with a budget of $100,000, included reworking the playground equipment and making extensive landscaping improvements.

Sixth Naval District Training Aids Library (also known as The Hanger) is located at 1056 King Street, Charleston, South Carolina. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017 due to its symbolization of the rapid development of the Navy in Charleston from 1943 to 1946. It is the current location for the Redux Contemporary Art Center.

The William Enston Home, located at 900 King St., Charleston, South Carolina, is a complex of many buildings all constructed in Romanesque Revival architecture, a rare style in Charleston. Twenty-four cottages were constructed beginning in 1887 along with a memorial chapel at the center with a campanile style tower, and it was reserved for white residents. An infirmary was added in 1931 and later converted into a superintendent's home. In 2006, construction was undertaken on a series of additional cottages which were meant to complete the plan for the community. These cottages, located at the southern edge of the property, are reminiscent of the original design but lack the architectural detail of the originals. Today the complex is owned by the Housing Authority of Charleston and the restored cottages are home to persons of low to moderate income.

Allan Park is a park in Charleston, South Carolina. The parcel of land was donated to the City of Charleston by Amey Allan, the widow of James Allan and the developer of most of the eastern half of Hampton Park Terrace parks on the peninsula, on March 23, 1920. The park is lined with oak trees which replaced the palmetto trees in the original plans. Allan Park began being used more frequently in the 1990s and the nearby neighborhood encouraged the replacement of the fountain in Allan Park. The new fountain was installed in 2000 but it had a myriad of issues and sat idle for two years until it was repaired and modified in 2004.

Hampton Park Terrace is the name both of a neighborhood and a National Register district located in peninsular Charleston, South Carolina. The neighborhood is bounded on the west by The Citadel, on the north by Hampton Park, on the east by Rutledge Ave., and on the south by Congress St. In addition, the one block of Parkwood Ave. south of Congress St. is considered, by some, to be included. The National Register district, on the other hand, is composed of the same area with two exceptions: (1) the northeasternmost block is excluded and (2) an extra block of President St. is included.

The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church is located at 28 Race St., Charleston, South Carolina. The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. The first Greek Orthodox church in South Carolina was built in 1911 at Fishburne and St. Phillip Sts. Construction of the present church was begun in 1950 and completed in 1953. Harold Tatum, a Penn educated Presbyterian, was selected as the church architect. Tatum designed the church in traditional Byzantine style as per the direction of Archbishop Michael of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of North and South America. The icons in the church are by Photios Kontoglou of Athens, Greece. The central dome was designed and constructed by the Guastavino tile Company of Woburn, Massachusetts. The church is a masterpiece of Byzantine art and architecture in the Western Hemisphere.The parish's longest serving priest was the Rev. Nicholas Trivelas who served for nearly five decades as its pastor since his arrival in 1947. The noted Greek Orthodox theologian John G. Panagiotou served as its pastor from 2002 to 2006. The parish has had three native sons enter the ordained ministry: Danny Latto and Ernest P. Yatrelis as priests; and George Malanos as a permanent deacon.

The Daniel Library is the main library of The Citadel, and is located on the college's Charleston, South Carolina campus. The library holds approximately 180,000 volumes in addition to extensive digital collections.

Corrine Jones Playground was formerly known as Hester Park because of its location along Hester Street in Charleston, South Carolina. The property was used for temporary housing during World War II. Opened in May 1943, the Ashley Homes company provided ninety-six three-room apartments that rented for $31.25, thirty four-room apartments for $36.25, and twenty-four five-room apartments at $41.25.The complex was designed by North Carolina architect Douglas Ellington. The housing project was only intended to remain through the end of World War II, but its demolition was not announced until 1954. At that time, the Charleston County School District decided to purchase the land for a new school for the northwest area of the peninsula.In late 2011, a renovation of the park was begun with the neighborhood surrounding it raising $20,000 of the expected $95,000.The City of Charleston was interested in ensuring that the park would remain public green space after the Charleston County School District planned to erect portable classrooms on the land during the renovations of a nearby school. As part of a land swap, Charleston transferred property that it owned adjacent to downtown schools to the school district, and the school district agreed to transfer Corrine Jones Playground to the city.

Johnson Hagood Stadium, is an 11,500-seat football stadium, the home field of The Citadel Bulldogs football team, in Charleston, South Carolina, United States. The stadium is named in honor of Brigadier General Johnson Hagood, CSA, class of 1847, who commanded Confederate forces in Charleston during the Civil War and later served as Comptroller and Governor of South Carolina.
