Lake Flint Creek, also known as SWEPCO Lake, is located about five miles north of the City of Siloam Springs in Benton County, Arkansas. It was made by constructing a 100’ high dam on Little Flint Creek in the 1975-1978 timeframe, creating a lake of about 500 acres.The lake is owned by Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO), which built it to provide cooling water to its Flint Creek Power Plant. Water flows back into the lake at 100 degrees Fahrenheit, which in turn provides a warmer water environment for fish than most Arkansas lakes. SWEPCO allows public access to the lake, and the surroundings include a boat ramp. The Arkansas Game & Fish Commission promotes fishing there through stocking and helping to build fish habitat. Fish species include Florida largemouth bass as well as Northern largemouth bass.

Little Flint Creek is a stream in Benton County, Arkansas. It forms northeast of Gentry, and flows generally southwest to become a tributary of Flint Creek to the north-northwest of Siloam Springs. It was impounded in the 1975-1978 timeframe to form Lake Flint Creek, a 500-acre reservoir that provides cooling water to the Flint Creek Power Plant as well as fishing to the general public.Flint Creek goes on to flow into Oklahoma, eventually joining the Illinois River.

Flint Creek Power Plant is a base load, coal fired, electrical power station located west of Gentry, Arkansas in Benton County, Arkansas. The lone unit uses coal mined from the Powder River Basin shipped via Kansas City Southern Railway. The output is owned jointly half and half by SWEPCO/AEP and Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corp.As part of the project, SWEPCO constructed a 100’ high dam on Little Flint Creek to create a reservoir to provide cooling water to the plant. The reservoir, known as Lake Flint Creek or SWEPCO Lake, provides fishing opportunities and is open to the public.

The Connelly-Harrington House is a historic house at 115 East University Street in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. It is an architecturally eclectic two story brick structure, exhibiting elements of Prairie Style, Classical Revival, and Craftsman architecture. The house was built c. 1913 for a prominent local banker, and has since served as a hospital and as the offices of the local chamber of commerce.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The House at 305 E. Ashley in Siloam Springs, Arkansas is a high-quality local example of Queen Anne Victorian architecture. Built c. 1900, it is a two-story wood-frame structure, with asymmetrical massing that includes beveled corners, projecting polygonal bay sections, and a pyramidal roof topped with a metal crest. It is finished in novelty siding, with pilastered corner boards, and has a wraparound porch with simple columns.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Bratt-Smiley House is a historic house at University Street and Broadway in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.

The First National Bank is a historic commercial building at 109 East University Street in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. It is a two-story brick building, trimmed in stone. Its ground floor is recessed in an arcade supported by square posts, and is separated from the second floor by a stone belt course. The upper floor windows have round stone arches, with two narrow bays projecting slightly. The cornice has corbelled brickwork, and is topped in a few places by stone caps. The building is Siloam Springs' only significant example of Romanesque Revival architecture.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Henry Furniture Store Building is a historic commercial building at 107 West University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. It is a single-story brick building, with an angled recessed storefront topped by a raised brick parapet set above brick corbelling and a pressed metal cornice. Built c. 1900, it is the best example in the city of commercial architecture from that time period.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

The Crown Hotel, formerly the Lakeside Hotel is a historic hotel building at 119 West University Street in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. It is a two-story brick building in an L shape, with a hip roof topped by a low cupola. It is distinguished by the brickwork at the roofline, and by the delicately spindled two-story porch that wraps around two sides of the building. Built in 1881, just one year after the city's founding, it is one of the city's oldest commercial buildings, and may have been its first brick hotel.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Simon Sager Cabin is a historic log cabin on the campus of John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Built in the 1830s, it is believed to be the very first homestead cabin built in northwestern Arkansas. It is a single-story structure fashioned out of hand-hewn logs that have been squared and chamfered, and joined by notches, with the gaps filled by limestone chinking. It originally was located downtown near the present-day city park, but was relocated to the John Brown University campus.The cabin was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
