West Burlington Independent School District

West Burlington is a city in Des Moines County, Iowa, United States, adjacent to the Mississippi River city of Burlington. The population was 2,968 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Burlington, IA–IL Micropolitan Statistical Area.

Westland Mall is an enclosed shopping mall in West Burlington, Iowa. Opened in 1977, the mall's anchor stores are Westland Theatre, and Marshalls. There are 2 vacant anchor stores that were once JCPenney and Younkers. It is owned by Kohan Retail Investment Group.

KBUR (1490 AM) is a radio station licensed to serve the community of Burlington, Iowa. The station primarily broadcasts a talk radio format. KBUR is owned by Pritchard Broadcasting Corporation. It was first licensed on September 11, 1941. Pritchard Broadcasting Corporation (owned by John T. Pritchard) agreed to purchase the station from GAP West (owned by Skip Weller) in late 2007. The station was owned by Clear Channel prior to GAP West.

KGRS (107.3 FM) is a commercial radio station that serves the Burlington, Iowa area. The station broadcasts a hot adult contemporary format. KGRS is licensed to Titan Broadcasting, LLC, which is owned by John C. "LJ" Pritchard. Titan Broadcasting LLC agreed to purchase the station from GAP West (owned by Skip Weller) in late 2007. The station was owned by Clear Channel prior to GAP West. Titan also owns KBKB-FM in nearby Fort Madison, Iowa. The transmitter and broadcast tower are located in Burlington near the intersection of U.S. Route 61 and U.S. Route 34. According to the Antenna Structure Registration database, the tower is 114 m (374 ft) tall with the FM broadcast antenna mounted at the 103 m (338 ft) level. The calculated Height Above Average Terrain is 131 m (430 ft).

Catfish Bend Casino is a casino located in Burlington, Iowa. It is part of the PZAZZ! Entertainment Complex owned by Great River Entertainment.

Community Field is a stadium in Burlington, Iowa. It is primarily used for baseball and is the home field of the Burlington Bees collegiate summer baseball team of the Prospect League. Occasionally, the stadium is used by the local high school baseball team. The current stadium holds 3,200 people. Community Field was most recently named the 2013 "Field of the Year" in the state of Iowa by the Iowa Sports Turf Management Association.

Notre Dame High School is a private, Roman Catholic high school in Burlington, Iowa. It is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Davenport.

Burlington Community High School, or Burlington High School, is a four-year public high school located in Burlington, Iowa. The school has an enrollment of 1046 students in grades 9 through 12. It is located at 421 Terrace Street and takes up the entire block on the west side of the street, from Terrace Drive, to Roosevelt Avenue, and north-south, from Division Street, to Johanssen Drive. The current building was completed in 1969, with the first graduating class in 1970, prior to that, the school was located in another two building campus two blocks west of Central Avenue, near the downtown business district. Until 1983, 9th grade students were enrolled in a separate building, the following school year, ninth grade was integrated into the high school. As the only high school in the district, it serves Burlington and Middletown, as well as residences in the western portion of West Burlington.The school sports teams are called the Grayhounds, and is only one of two high schools in the nation to use a purple and gray color scheme.

KCPS (1150 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Talk/Personality format. Licensed to serve the Burlington, Iowa, United States. area, the station is currently owned by John M. Giannettino and features programming from ESPN Radio, Motor Racing Network and Westwood One.

Aspen Grove Cemetery is a cemetery in Burlington, Iowa. In 2022, it was listed as an historic district on the National Register of Historic Places.

On January 6, 2015, Autumn Steele, a 34-year-old woman, was fatally shot outside her home in Burlington, Iowa by police officer Jesse Hill, during a response to a domestic disturbance call. In June 2018, a civil lawsuit was settled between the City of Burlington and the Steele family over her death.
