Mögglingen

Mögglingen (Gmünd) station is a railway stop in the municipality of Mögglingen, located in the Ostalbkreis district in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The station lies on the Rems Railway. The train services are operated by Go-Ahead Baden-Württemberg.

The Rosenstein is a 735 m high mountain in the Swabian Jura (German: Schwäbische Alb) above the town of Heubach near Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany. With its exposed position as head of the Alb it had been of strategic importance. Excavations in the caves on Rosenstein have found tools dating back to the Paleolithic period. Among the best-known caves are scouring the "Great" and "Dark hole". About the Western rock, the remnants of a medieval castle, Rosenstein castle ruins. The Rosenstein is now a very popular recreational area, especially for climbers and mountain bikers.

Heubach Telecommunication Tower is a 162 metre tall telecommunication tower of Deutsche Telekom AG on Glasenberg at Heubach in Baden-Württemberg. It is used for directional radio, mobile radio, police and fire brigade radio also used for FM- and TV transmission. Heubach Telecommunication Tower is equipped with an observation deck in a height of 25 metres, which is accessible for tourists by a stairway with 139 steps. However this observation deck is only open at rare occasions.

The town finds itself at the edge of the Rems River Valley and at the base of the Swabian Alps. Heubach is located in the Swabian region of Germany. Residents speak the Swabian German dialect. The town is bordered to the north by Böbingen an der Rems and Mögglingen, to the east Essingen, the south by Bartholomä and the west by the city of Schwäbisch Gmünd.

Essingen is a municipality in the Ostalbkreis in the State of Baden-Württemberg in Germany. It lies about 73 km east of Stuttgart, just outside the city of Aalen. The Rems river begins just outside Essingen, on its way down the Remstal (Rems Valley) to merge with the Neckar near Stuttgart. Essingen currently has about 6000 residents, and is located on the northern end of the Swabian Alb. It is mainly a dormitory community, but does have industry along the B29 federal road and Stuttgart-Aalen railway. Recreational activities include biking, hiking, and rambling. In the winter, there are opportunities for skiing. In the middle of the village lies the Schloss (castle) and Schloss Park. The castle was built circa 1550 by the Woellwarth Family. It has remained in the family until recently when it was sold at auction causing much controversy in the village. Some villagers wanted to save the castle to be used for various activities and events but the consensus was that the castle would be too expensive to maintain and run. Essingen is a larger municipality, and the nearby villages of Lauterburg, Forst, Dauerwang, Hermannsfeld, Birkenteich and Hohenroden belong to Essingen.

Bartholomä is a municipality in the German state of Baden-Württemberg, in Ostalbkreis district. Bartholomä is mainly a commuter town in the historical region of Swabia, that straddles the border between Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. The language spoken in Bartholomä is the Swabian dialect. The businesses in Bartholomä are mainly German staples: a couple of bakeries and butcher shops, a local bar and grill called Zum Schwarzen Adler (the local resource for traditional German food) and its sister establishment, a medieval-themed venue for wedding banquets and such called Braighausen. There is also a complex of houses on the outskirts of town collectively called Amalienhof. Bartholomä is a 35-minute drive from Neresheim, home of the Neresheim Abbey.

Abtsgmünd is a municipality in the German state of Baden-Württemberg, in Ostalbkreis district. Abtsgmünd is located at the confluence of two streams, the Lein and the Kocher. Famous locals include Patrick Benedict Zimmer who was born in the town. Until 2006, Abtsgmünd was host to the Summer Breeze Open Air metal festival.
