Gunnersbury is a London Overground and London Underground station in Gunnersbury in London, England on the North London line. The station opened on 1 January 1869 and is served by District line trains to and from Richmond, and by Arriva Rail London on the London Overground network. On the District line the station is between Turnham Green and Kew Gardens, and on the North London line it is between South Acton and Kew Gardens. The station is located off Chiswick High Road (A315) and is in Travelcard Zone 3.

Compass Box is a producer, bottler and marketer of a range of blended Scotch whiskies. The company is headquartered in Chiswick. Compass Box Whisky was founded in 2000 by American entrepreneur John Glaser, a former marketing director at Johnnie Walker. Blenders for Compass Box are Jill Boyd and James Saxon. The company's whiskymakers select distillates from a number of existing Scotch whisky distilleries, with the selected whiskies then being blended together and the resulting blend matured further.

Little Sutton was one of the four constituent medieval villages of Chiswick, in what is now West London, and the site of a royal manor house, Sutton Manor, later Sutton Court. The great house was accompanied by a small hamlet without a church of its own. The manor was used by four kings of England, Richard II, Henry IV, Henry V, and Henry VI, and Mary, Oliver Cromwell's daughter, lived there. The name survives in local street and house names.

Strand-on-the-Green is one of Chiswick's four medieval villages, and a "particularly picturesque" riverside area in West London. It is a conservation area, with many "imposing" listed buildings beside the River Thames; a local landmark, the Kew Railway Bridge that crosses the River Thames and the Strand, is itself Grade II listed. Oliver's Island is just offshore. The area was a fishing village named "Stronde" in 1353. By the 18th century, it had become a place of river-trade with many different businesses. It became fashionable with the opening of Kew Bridge and the presence of the royal family at Kew Palace. Freight traffic declined with the opening of the Grand Junction Canal. Strand-on-the-Green became a residential area in the 20th century.

The Bull's Head is a Grade II listed public house at 15 Strand-on-the-Green, Chiswick, London, England. The building (Grade II listed in 1970) is 18th century with later additions; the architect is not known. It is a two-storey white-painted brick building, and still has its pantile roof with two dormer windows. The entrance has a moulded doorhood resting on brackets. Inside, the pub's bar and drinking area consists of numerous rooms on different levels; the lowest room is the "Duck & Grouse" restaurant.It is adjoined by nos 10 to 14, Bull Cottages, also 18th century; they suffered flood damage from high tides, and were restored in 1967. The actor Donald Pleasence lived in the house at the end of the Bull's Head buildings, marked by a blue plaque.An unlikely legend maintains that Oliver Cromwell stayed in the pub, then escaping to the nearby Oliver's Island and hiding there; there is no reliable evidence for either claim.

Chiswick Roundabout is a major roundabout, with flyover, in Chiswick, West London. It was opened in 1959, and is the meeting point of three roads which terminate here, the A205 South Circular, A315 Chiswick High Road, A406 North Circular; and one road which carries on through, and interfaces with the M4 – the A4 Great West Road – therefore it is extremely busy in daytime. It is of one of Britain's first motorway junctions. The M4 runs on a temporary WNW to ESE axis on the flyover. The roundabout lies in the settled south of Gunnersbury, less than 500 metres (1,600 ft) west of Gunnersbury station.It is also known as Gunnersbury roundabout.

Kew Railway Bridge spans the River Thames in London, England, between Kew and Strand-on-the-Green, Chiswick. The bridge was opened in 1869.

Chiswick Park Cricket Ground was a cricket ground in Chiswick, London (historically Middlesex). The first recorded match on the ground was in 1886, when Chiswick Park played the Parsees during their tour of England.The first first-class match held on the ground came in 1886 when CI Thornton's XI played the touring Australians. The second and final first-class match held at the ground came in 1887 when Middlesex played Oxford University.The final recorded match held on the ground came in 1888 when the Gentlemen of West Middlesex played the Parsees during their tour of England. The ground was located to the north of the Hounslow Loop Line and was surrounded to the west by Grove Park Terrace, to the north by Fauconberg Road and to the west by Sutton Court Road. Following the Second World War, the ground was built over, with a primary school and apartments built on it.

Oliver's Island is a tree-covered 0.9-acre (0.36 ha) ait (river island), in the River Thames in England. It is in the London Borough of Hounslow, on the Tideway, facing Kew and Strand-on-the-Green in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, and is owned by the Port of London Authority.

The Chiswick flyover is a short elevated section of the M4 motorway in the western approaches to London, United Kingdom. The flyover in the west London suburb of Chiswick, was opened in 1959 with the intention of reducing congestion and the impact on local traffic of vehicles travelling around London on the North and South Circular Roads and between London and the west on the Great West Road. Although it was not originally built as a motorway, it was later incorporated into the M4 motorway.
