Roppolo

Viverone (Piedmontese: Vivron) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Biella in the Italian region of Piedmont, located about 50 kilometres (31 mi) northeast of Turin and about 15 kilometres (9 mi) south of Biella. It is on the shore of Lago di Viverone. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,434 and an area of 12.4 square kilometres (4.8 sq mi).Viverone borders the following municipalities: Alice Castello, Azeglio, Borgo d'Ale, Piverone, Roppolo, Zimone.

Pùrcarel quarry is the name of a little natural circular hollow, about 60 metres in diameter, located in the woodlands of the little Bertignano Lake, near Viverone, Province of Biella in Piedmont, Italy. The soil rich in clay (typical of the moraines),turn occasionally this basin in a pond, although not possessing affluents and emissaries. The site is of archaeological interest. It was the seat of a garrison-prehistoric dwelling, consisting of huts resting on twelve heaps of stones, still visible on the border. Archaeological excavations unearthed ceramic materials, related to two different eras, the late Neolithic and the Bronze Age. It is common opinion of the connection with two prehistoric canoes found in nearby Bertignano Lake, and stored at the Antiquities Museum in Turin. The Pùrcarel name is of unknown origin. Other important archaeological remains can be found at the nearby Monte Orsetto and inside a wooded area near Peverano (Roppolo).

Lago di Viverone or Lake Viverone (Piedmontese: Lagh dël Vivron) is a lake in northern Italy. Named after the town of Viverone, lies at 230 m AMSL between the districts of Biella, Vercelli and Ivrea in the area of morainic hills known as Serra. It has an area of about 6 km2 and a maximum depth of 70 m, and a perimeter of about 10.5 km. The lake is 3,500 m long and 2,600 m wide. The southern and western parts of the lake are rich in vegetation while the north part is built-up and includes hotels, camping sites and beaches. Ducks, mallard, coots, grebes and gulls form the major part of the fauna; angling is a popular activity with catches including common whitefish, perch, tench, pike and catfish. Viverone is a centre for day trips and the lakeside communities of Lido, Masseria, Comuna and Anzasco have recently been connected by a boat service. The lake is also an important archaeological site: villages made up of stilt houses were present here in the Bronze Age (1300–900 BCE).

Salussola railway station (Italian: Stazione di Salussola) is the train station serving the comune of Salussola, in the Piedmont region, northwestern Italy. It is the junction of the Santhià–Biella railway. The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI). Train services are operated by Trenitalia. Each of these companies is a subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato (FS), Italy's state-owned rail company.

San Michele Arcangelo (St Michael Archangel) is a Baroque-style, Roman Catholic church located in the town of Borgo d'Ale, province of Vercelli, region of Piedmont, Italy. An older church dedicated to St Michael, a common entitlement for Lombard churches, rises in a rural site south of town in Clivolo, a neighborhood encompassed in the town limits of Borgo d'Ale. This was one of the last designs by the architect Bernardo Vittone, completed posthumously from 1771 to 1778. The facade has a Borrominesque play of concave and convex elements. To the right is an older campanile, refurbished in subsequent centuries. The layout of this church includes a centralized nave with a separate circular presbytery framed by a separate colonnade, creating a separate space for the altar. From the nave emerge four chapels: the first on the left dedicated to the souls in purgatory, the second, to the Virgin of the Rosary. On the right, nearest the entrance is the altar dedicated to St Sebastian, patron of Borgo d'Ale, and the final chapel is dedicated to St Joseph in Agony. Throughout the church are depictions of the militant St Michael, including in the oaken pulpit, in a statue to the right of the main altar, and in the main altarpiece. Behind the main altar is the rectangular choir with oaken stalls. Above the center of the nave is a well-lit hexagonal central dome.

Borgo d'Ale is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Vercelli in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northeast of Turin and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) west of Vercelli. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,629 and an area of 39.3 square kilometres (15.2 sq mi).Borgo d'Ale borders the following municipalities: Alice Castello, Azeglio, Bianzè, Borgomasino, Cossano Canavese, Maglione, Moncrivello, Settimo Rottaro, Tronzano Vercellese, and Viverone.
