In the 2001 census it had a population of 125, which increased to 158 at the 2011 census. For the purposes of local government, the it falls within the district of North Norfolk.

The Blickling Park mausoleum is a Grade II* listed building in the grounds of Blickling Hall, Norfolk, England. It was commissioned in 1793 by Lady Caroline Suffield, the daughter of John Hobart, 2nd Earl of Buckinghamshire, as a tomb for her father and his two wives. The structure was designed by the Italian architect Joseph Bonomi the Elder and built by Henry Wood. It is in the form of a pyramid, modelled on that of Cestius in Rome, as an early example of Egyptian Revival architecture. The structure is now in the ownership of the National Trust.

Calthorpe is a small village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Erpingham, in the North Norfolk district, in the county of Norfolk, England. The village is located 0.5 miles (0.80 km) west of the village of Erpingham, 3.4 miles (5.5 km) north of the nearest town of Aylsham and is 15.8 miles (25.4 km) north of the nearest city of Norwich. The nearest railway station is at Gunton for the Bittern Line which runs between Sheringham, Cromer and Norwich and is 7.8 miles (12.6 km) from the village. The nearest airport is Norwich International 14.2 miles (22.9 km) south of the village. In 1931 the parish had a population of 143.

Erpingham Rural District was a rural district in Norfolk, England from 1894 to 1974.It was formed under the Local Government Act 1894 based on the Erpingham rural sanitary district, taking its name from the ancient North and South Erpingham hundreds - but did not, initially, include some parishes from these hundreds including Erpingham parish itself. It lay on the north coast of Norfolk around the Urban Districts of Cromer and, later, Sheringham (created 1901, extended 1914). In 1935 Erpingham RD took in several parishes from Aylsham Rural District, and ceded smaller areas to Walsingham and Smallburgh RDs. In 1974, the district was abolished under the Local Government Act 1972, and became part of the North Norfolk district.

Scarrow Beck is a minor watercourse which rises in the north of the English county of Norfolk. It is a tributary of the River Bure. Its spring is in the North Norfolk village of Aylmerton west of the main street. It eventually merges, after 7.7 miles (12.4 km) with the River Bure at Ingworth just north of the Blickling Hall estate. There are two watermills on the beck, both of which are no longer in working order. A third windmill at Gresham stands on Gur Beck, a small tributary of Scarrow Beck.

Itteringham is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk, some 4+1⁄2 miles (7.2 km) northwest of the market town of Aylsham. It covers an area of 8.20 km2 (3.17 sq mi) and had a population of 136 in 60 households at the 2001 census, the population reducing to 125 at the 2011 Census. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of North Norfolk. The villages name origin is uncertain perhaps, 'homestead/village of Ytra's/Ytri's people' or 'homestead/village of the Ytteringas (= those dwelling outside)'. Itteringham lies in the valley of the River Bure that eventually becomes a major part of the Norfolk Broads. The village has a pub, the Walpole Arms and a village shop. The converted watermill is a historical feature within the village. Mannington Hall is included in the parish. The poet George Barker lived in the village and is buried in the churchyard.

The parish of Matlask in the 2001 census, a population of 124, increasing to 139 at the 2011 Census. For the purposes of local government, the parish falls within the district of North Norfolk.

Blickling Hall is a Jacobean stately home situated in 5,000 acres of parkland in a loop of the River Bure, near the village of Blickling north of Aylsham in Norfolk, England. The mansion was built on the ruins of a Tudor building for Sir Henry Hobart from 1616 and designed by Robert Lyminge. The library at Blickling Hall contains one of the most historically significant collections of manuscripts and books in England, containing an estimated 13,000 to 14,000 volumes. The core collection was formed by Sir Richard Ellys. The property passed into the care of the National Trust in 1940.

Little Barningham is a village and a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The village is 19 miles (31 km) north of Norwich, 10 miles (16 km) south-west of Cromer and 133 miles (214 km) north-east of London. The nearest railway station is in the town of Sheringham where access to the national rail network can be made via the Bittern Line to Norwich. The nearest airport is Norwich International Airport. Little Barningham is within the area covered by North Norfolk District Council.

Blickling is a village and civil parish in the Broadland district of Norfolk, England, about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) north-west of Aylsham. In the 2011 census, it had a population of 113 and covered 862 hectares (2,130 acres), before dropping to 110 residents as of the 2021 census. Since the 17th century the village has been concentrated in two areas, around the church and also at the park gates of Blickling Hall. Most of the village is contained in the Blickling Estate, which has been owned by the National Trust since 1940. The villages name means 'Blicla's people'.
