Crowhurst Place

Crowhurst is a village and civil parish in the Tandridge district of Surrey, England. The nearest town is Oxted, 3 miles (5 km) to the north. Rated two architectural categories higher than the medieval church is the Renaissance manor, Crowhurst Place, which is a Grade I listed building.

The Crowhurst Yew is a yew tree in the churchyard of St George's Church in Crowhurst, Surrey, England. It is thought to be about 4,000 years old. Its girth was measured in 1630 as 30 feet (9.1 m). It was mentioned by John Evelyn in 1664, and John Aubrey mentioned it in his Natural History and Antiquities of the County of Surrey, published in 1718–19.It is a male tree, situated east-north-east of the church, and its girth was measured in 2013 as 32 feet 11 inches (10.03 m) at height 4 feet (1.2 m).There is a hollow interior space, with a door about 4 feet (1.2 m) high. When the hollow space was created in 1820, a cannonball was discovered embedded in the side, probably from a nearby skirmish during the English Civil War. At one time the Parish Council met at the tree.It was designated by the Tree Council as one of the 50 Great British Trees in the United Kingdom, to mark the Golden Jubilee of Elizabeth II in 2002.

Lingfield Wildlife Area is a 6.3-hectare (16-acre) Local Nature Reserve in Lingfield in Surrey. It is owned by Tandridge District Council and managed by the Lingfield Wildlife Area Committee.This site adjoins Centenary Fields and both are managed by local volunteers. There is a wildlife area, copses, a pond, a wetland area, hedges, meadows and a skateboard ramp.There is access from Saxbys Lane.

Centenary Fields is a 4.2-hectare (10-acre) Local Nature Reserve in Lingfield in Surrey. It is owned by Lingfield Parish Council and managed by Lingfield Wildlife Area Committee.This site, which is managed by local volunteers, has grassland, a wildflower meadow, allotments, a butterfly garden and a community orchard where a local variety of apple, the Lingfield Forge, is being grown.There is access from Vicarage Road.

Lingfield Football Club are a football club based in the village of Lingfield, near East Grinstead, Surrey, England. The club is affiliated to the Surrey County Football Association. They are currently members of the Southern Combination Premier Division and play at the Sports Pavilion.

Lingfield Park Racecourse (commonly referred to as Lingfield) is a horse racing course at Lingfield in Surrey, United Kingdom. It is owned by the ARC Racing and Leisure Group, formerly Arena Leisure Plc. Lingfield is best known as a winter all-weather flat racing course; the track is Polytrack, rather than the usual turf found in the UK. There are only five other all-weather courses in the UK, the others being at Southwell, Kempton, Wolverhampton, Newcastle, and Chelmsford City (formerly Great Leighs Racecourse). Lingfield also stages National Hunt and flat races on turf. Lingfield railway station adjoins the course, served by trains from London to East Grinstead via Oxted.

Blindley Heath SSSI is a 26.3-hectare (65-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in the hamlet Blindley Heath, on the southern outskirts of Godstone in Surrey. It is also a Local Nature Reserve. It is owned by Godstone Parish Council and managed by the Surrey Wildlife TrustThis damp grassland site on Weald Clay has a rich flora. There are also a number of ponds and a stretch of the Ray Brook runs through the heath. The grassland is dominated by tussock grass and there are scattered oaks, hawthorns, willows and blackthorns.There is access from Ray Lane.

Lingfield College is a private day school situated in Lingfield in the English county of Surrey, for pupils aged six months to eighteen years old. It was originally a boarding school for girls and became fully co-educational in 1996. As of 2022 there are approximately 940 pupils at the School spread over two sites situated next to one another: the Prep School and the Senior School. The British Wildlife Centre is a zoo in the hamlet of Newchapel near Lingfield village in the county of Surrey, South East England. The zoo was founded in 1997 by David Mills, who converted his dairy farm into a centre to celebrate British wildlife. Initially, the centre was only open to pre-booked groups but in 2000 it opened fully to the general public.
