Nanya Institute of Technology (Chinese: 南亞技術學院; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Lâm-a Ki-su̍t Ha̍k-īⁿ) is a private college in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. NIT offers undergraduate programs in several fields of engineering and technology, including electrical engineering, computer science, information management, mechanical engineering, and industrial engineering. The institution also offers a graduate program in electrical engineering.

The Army Academy R.O.C. (AAROC; Chinese: 陸軍專科學校; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Lio̍k-kun Choan-kho Ha̍k-hāu) is a military academy located in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. The academy offers a four-year program that covers a broad range of subjects, including military science, tactics, leadership, and physical fitness. In addition, students are required to take courses in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and other academic disciplines.

The Longgang Mosque or Lungkang Mosque (traditional Chinese: 龍岡清真寺; simplified Chinese: 龙冈清真寺; pinyin: Lónggāng Qīngzhēnsì) is a mosque in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. It is the fifth mosque to be built in Taiwan. As of September 2008, the Imam was Abdullah Liu (Chinese: 柳根榮; pinyin: Liǔ Gēnróng).

The Matsu New Village (Chinese: 馬祖新村; pinyin: Mǎzǔ Xīncūn), also called New Matsu Village, Mazu New Village, is a restored military dependents' settlement in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan.The Matsu New Village has been lauded as the "Taoyuan General Village" (Chinese: 桃園將軍村). The first phase of the military dependents' hostel was completed in 1957, and they are allocated to 84 army major-general level officers and lower ranking officers, as well as their dependents; it was also the first military dependents' village in Longgang. The name of the village was not derived because the local residents came from Matsu but it was during a trip when Chiang Kai-shek’s wife, Soong Mei-Ling led the Armed Forces Entertainment Regiment to visit Matsu and enhance troop morale. Matsu New Village was the only village in Taoyuan to have been selected by the Ministry of National Defense in 2012 as one of the 13 national “Cultural Preservation Areas for Military Dependents’ Villages.”

Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU; Chinese: 中原大學; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Tióng-gôan-tāi-ha̍k) is a private university in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. The university was established as Chung Yuan Christian College of Science and Engineering in 1955 by a group of Taiwanese and American Christian educators to train science and engineering talent in the Christian spirit. The school was upgraded to a full university and renamed Chung Yuan Christian University in 1980. CYCU is a Member of United Board.

Yuan Ze University (YZU; Chinese: 元智大學; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Goân-tì Tāi-ha̍k) is a private university located in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. Established in 1989, YZU campus is in Zhongli District, Taoyuan; Taipei; and Bade District, Taoyuan. Yuan Ze has five colleges, Engineering (accredited by IEET), Informatics, Management (accredited by AACSB and AAPBS), Humanities and Social Sciences, and Electrical and Communication Engineering (accredited by IEET). With over 8,000 students with a 2:1 ratio between undergraduate and graduate students on campus, YZU offers several international programs such as the English Program of Bachelor of Business Administration, Master’s Program in Industrial Engineering and Management. Zhongli (Chinese: 中壢; pinyin: Zhōnglì) is a railway station in Taoyuan, Taiwan served by Taiwan Railways Administration. It is the third-busiest station in Taiwan's rail network. It is also a planned terminus for Taoyuan Airport MRT of the Taoyuan Metro, scheduled for completion in 2028.
