Halesowen Town Football Club is a football club based in Halesowen, West Midlands, England. They are currently members of the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands and play at the Grove Recreation Ground.

Windsor High School is a secondary school with academy status located on Richmond Street, Halesowen, West Midlands, England. It is among the largest schools in the region, with capacity for 1,700 pupils aged 11 to 18, and is heavily over-subscribed.

Between the late 11th century and 1844, the English county of Shropshire (or Salop) possessed a large exclave within the present-day Black Country and surrounding area. This territory was gained from neighbouring Worcestershire, and the exclave's border corresponded with the medieval Manor of Hala (or Halas, Hales). Shropshire (Detached) contained the townships of (what are now known as) Halesowen, Oldbury, Warley Salop, Ridgacre, Hunnington, Romsley and Langley. The exceptions were Cradley, Lutley and Warley Wigorn, which were exclaves or enclaves still aligned with the original county. Bounded entirely by Staffordshire and Worcestershire, Hala was part of Brimstree hundred, and totally detached from the rest of Shropshire. Bridgnorth, the nearest town within the main body of Shropshire, is 16.8 miles (27.03 km) away from Halesowen, whilst the county town of Shrewsbury is 34.6 miles (55.62 km) away.In 1844, following enactment of the Counties (Detached Parts) Act 1844, Shropshire (Detached) was reunited with Worcestershire and remained within the original county until 1974. Richmond School for Boys was founded and built on Richmond Street as one of two new secondary schools located in Halesowen, West Midlands, England. Richmond School for Boys and its twin Walton School for Girls were built during the 1930s as segregated Secondary modern schools to serve the expanding Black Country town of Halesowen. In September 1985 Richmond Boys School along with the nearby Walton Girls School merged to form a single school for both boys and girls which was to be housed within the former Richmond School for Boys site, which was renamed, and known today as Windsor High School. The school initially opened to pupils aged 11 upwards, before becoming a 13-18 comprehensive in September 1972 when three-tier education was introduced in Halesowen. Another reorganisation in September 1982 saw the age range altered to 11-16, with two younger year groups being added but the sixth form being closed as all of Halesowen's sixth form facilities were relocated to an expanded Halesowen College. Expansion to the existing Richmond School buildings accommodated the now increased intake of pupils, while the former Walton School for Girls located on Highfields Lane became a second campus forming part of Halesowen College for 18 years before being demolished in 2002 to be redeveloped for housing.

Halesowen is a constituency of the House of Commons in the UK Parliament. Created as a result of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, it was first contested at the 2024 general election. The constituency is named after the town of Halesowen.

The Earls High School is a secondary school with academy status on Furnace Lane near the A458 in Halesowen, West Midlands. Established in 1652 and formerly Halesowen Grammar School, it also incorporates the former Halesowen Technical School.

Hawne is a residential area approximately one mile from Halesowen town centre in the county of West Midlands, England. It includes Newfield Park Primary School, Earls High School and Halesowen College. There is a mix of private and council housing in the area, much built between 1950 and 1980, but with many terraced houses from circa 1890. Another landmark in the area is The Grove, home of non-league football team Halesowen Town. It is also home to the owners of Betts Motor Services in Netherton.

Halesowen College is a further and higher education college in Whittingham Road, Halesowen, West Midlands. It was established in 1982 as a tertiary college. The college also has a Business Centre about a mile away at Coombswood that opened in September 1999.

Halesowen bus station is a bus station in the town of Halesowen in the West Midlands conurbation in England. It is owned and managed by Transport for West Midlands. The station is located on Queensway in front of the Cornbow Centre, which houses the Asda superstore plus many other shops, and opposite Halesowen's Jobcentre Plus and Norman Church. Originally, Halesowen had no bus station. Instead, most buses boarded adjacent to the old library building in Hagley Street/Great Cornbow, with the Service 130 (Birmingham-Stourbridge) boarding in New Road and Services 137/138 (Birmingham-Brierley Hill) at Shenstone island, some distance from the town. However, a new bus station opposite Church Croft in Queensway was constructed adjacent to the new shopping centre in the late 1960s, enabling Hagley Street to be pedestrianised. All bus services except Services 130/137/138 boarded here. However, these services were also relocated to the Bus Station from 1983 onward, following revisions to bus links into Birmingham. The original bus station remain largely unchanged until part of the shopping centre frontage was sacrificed to enable it to be enlarged in 1999. However, it was soon clear that the station was outdated and it closed in March 2007 for a total redevelopment, which also saw a new Asda superstore opened nearby as part of a multimillion-pound regeneration of Halesowen town centre. The present Bus Station was constructed on the same site and opened in December 2008, along with a new Asda supermarket in the Cornbow Shopping Centre towards the end of the previous month. Whereas the original bus station permitted two-way arrival and departure along Queensway, with some stands located on a refuge on the far side from the shopping centre, all the departure stands in the present one are located on the same side as the Cornbow Centre. It features electronic departure doors that are automatically activated by arriving buses, thus permitting full passenger segregation from manoeuvring vehicles.

Halesowen ( haylz-OH-in) is a market town in the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley, in the county of West Midlands, England. Historically an exclave of Shropshire and, from 1844, in Worcestershire, the town is around 7 miles (11 km) from Birmingham city centre, and 6 miles (10 km) from Dudley town centre. The population of the town, as measured by the United Kingdom Census 2011, was 58,135. Halesowen is included in the Halesowen and Rowley Regis constituency which is held by the Conservative James Morris.

Halesowen (originally called Hale Manor) was a medieval parish in the West Midlands of England. The townships of Halesowen, Cakemore, Hasbury, Hawne, Hill, Hunnington, Illey, Lapal, Oldbury, Ridgacre, Romsley and Warley Salop formed a detached part of Shropshire; the rest of the parish, consisting of the chapelries of Cradley and Frankley, and the hamlets of Lutley and Warley Wigorn, was part of Worcestershire.The Counties (Detached Parts) Act 1844 made the entire area part of Worcestershire. Each of these townships, chapelries and hamlets became a civil parish in 1866. Subsequently Ridgacre, under the name of Quinton was added to Birmingham in Warwickshire in 1909, and has formed part of the Birmingham metropolitan district in West Midlands since 1974 Halesowen (with Cakemore, Cradley, Hasbury, Hawne, Hill, Illey, Lapal and Lutley) has formed part of the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley in West Midlands since 1974 Oldbury, Warley Salop and Warley Wigorn became part of the County Borough of Warley (Worcestershire) in 1966 and since 1974 the Sandwell metropolitan borough in West Midlands Frankley and Romsley do not form part of any metropolitan district; and are part of the Bromsgrove district of Worcestershire; part of Frankley was added to Birmingham and is now known as New Frankley in Birmingham
