Taichung Municipal Taichung Second Senior High School is a senior high school located in Taichung City, Taiwan. Founded in 1922 by the Governor-General of Taiwan, it was named "Taichung Second Middle School", a school that recruited Japanese students during the Japan period. Now it is a member of "Taichung Big 5" alliance.

The Long-Bang Trade Plaza, also Long-Ban World Trade Building or Long-Bong Trade Plaza (Chinese: 龍邦世貿大樓; pinyin: Lóng bāng shìmào dàlóu), is a complex of twin skyscraper office buildings located in West District, Taichung, Taiwan. The buildings were completed in 1991 and were one of the earliest skyscrapers built in Taichung, as well as the first buildings to reach 150 m (490 ft) in the city. The height of each building is 160 m (520 ft), the total floor area is 70,389 m2 (757,660 sq ft), and each building comprises 37 floors above ground, as well as five basement levels. The complex was designed by TMA Architects and Associates. As of December 2020, the buildings are the 11th tallest buildings in Taichung.

The National Taichung University of Education (NTCU; Chinese: 國立臺中教育大學; pinyin: Guólì Táizhōng Jiàoyù Dàxué) is a university in West District, Taichung, Taiwan. Founded in 1899 at the Confucian Temple in Changhwa county, it moved to the current site in 1923. In 2005, the university was renamed National Taichung University of Education. NTCU had a College of Education, College of Humanities and Liberal Arts, and College of Mathematics and Information Science.

Jen-Ai Hospital (Chinese: 仁愛醫療財團法人仁愛醫院; pinyin: Rén'ài Yīliáo Cáituán Fǎrén Rén'ài Yīyuàn), is a community hospital founded by Dr. Chuan-Sheng Liao, in Dali District, Taichung, Taiwan. It has two branches in Taichung city: Jen-Ai Hospital – Dali branch (Chinese: 大里仁愛醫院) is the region's largest teaching hospital, while the Jen-Ai Hospital – Taichung branch (Chinese: 台中仁愛醫院) is known for its long history in the city. Jen-Ai Hospital – Dali is a tertiary referral hospital and is known for being the first hospital in Taiwan to launch an International Patient Center and Baby Web Nursery Website.

The Shr-Hwa International Tower (Chinese: 世華國際大樓; pinyin: Shìhuá Guójì Dàlóu) is a 47-storey, 177 m (581 ft) tall skyscraper located in West District, Taichung, Taiwan. When it was completed in 2004, it was the tallest building in Taichung and it held the title for 14 years until it was surpassed by The Landmark (Taichung). As of August 2022, it is the 21st tallest building in Taiwan and the second tallest in central Taiwan. This building has a peculiar shape of a bamboo. The 24th to 45th floors of the building houses a five-star hotel - The Landis Taichung.

Taichung (, Wade–Giles: Tʻai²-chung¹, pinyin: Táizhōng), officially Taichung City, is a special municipality located in central Taiwan. Taichung has approximately 2.85 million residents and is the second largest city of Taiwan, as well as the most populous city in Central Taiwan. It serves as the core of the Taichung–Changhua metropolitan area, the second largest metropolitan area in Taiwan. Located in the Taichung Basin, the city was initially developed from several scattered hamlets helmed by the Taiwanese indigenous peoples. It was constructed to be the new capital of Taiwan Province and renamed as "Taiwan-fu" in the late Qing dynastic era between 1887 and 1894. During the Japanese era from 1895, the urban planning of present-day city of Taichung was performed and developed by the Japanese. From the start of ROC rule in 1945, the urban area of Taichung was organized as a provincial city up until 25 December 2010, when the original provincial city and Taichung County were merged into a new special municipality.The city is home to the National Museum of Natural Science, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, the National Taichung Theater, the National Library of Public Information, and the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, as well as many cultural sites, including the historic Taichung Park, the Lin Family Gardens, and many temples.

West District (Chinese: 西區; pinyin: Xi Qū) is a district of Taichung, Taiwan. It is the second smallest district in Taichung City after Central District. Former Taichung City Hall and part of Taichung City Government offices are located in this district.

Park Lane by CMP (Chinese: 勤美誠品綠園道; pinyin: Qínměichéngpǐn Lǜyuándào) is a shopping center located West District, Taichung, Taiwan. The shopping center is jointly operated by the CMP Group and Eslite Bookstore.

The Diocese of Taichung (Latin: Dioecesis Taichungensis) is a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church in Taiwan. Originally erected as an Apostolic Prefecture of Taichung in 1950, the Prefecture was elevated to a full diocese in 1962. The diocese is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Taipei. The current bishop is Martin Su Yao-wen, appointed in June 2007.

International Trade Center 260, formerly known as Asia Rich Tower (Chinese: 亞太雲端; pinyin: Yàtài yúnduān), is a skyscraper office building located in North District, Taichung, Taiwan. The height of the building is 141.73 m (465.0 ft) and it comprises 39 floors above ground, as well as four basement levels. The building was originally completed in 2001 as Asia Rich Tower, but was later renovated and changed its name to International Trade Center 260, but keeping its Chinese name the same. In 2010, the façades of the building were demolished and modifications were performed on the walls whilst maintaining the main structure of the previous building. The original building had a green façade and the renovated building has a white façade with vertical black stripes. The renovation process was completed in 2013.As of January 2021, the building is the tallest in the district and 25th tallest in the city.
