Larkfield Priory Hotel was a hotel, restaurant, bar and function venue in Larkfield, Kent. It benefited from being on the A20 London Road and is just 4 miles north west of the county town of Maidstone.

Larkfield is a village in Kent, part of the civil parish of East Malling and Larkfield in the borough of Tonbridge and Malling. Of the two parts of the parish, Larkfield is much more built-up, lying on and north of the main A20 road. The M20 motorway also passes through, with junction 4 residing at the centre of Leybourne on the A228. The name of Larkfield is literal and descriptive – it refers to the large numbers of skylarks found in the fields; its first recorded instance is in Domesday Book as Lavrochesfel.

New Hythe is a village in mid-Kent, England on the banks of the River Medway approximately 5 mi (8.0 km) northwest of the county town of Maidstone. It derives its name from the Old English word Hythe, meaning haven or landing place. It is split between the civil parishes of East Malling and Larkfield, and Ditton.

The Finnish Sauna Bath London 1948, also known in the British context as the Finnish Olympic Sauna or the Cobdown Sauna (after its current location), is a sauna facility located in Cobdown Park, Aylesford, Kent, England.It was built by the Finnish timber building supplier Puutalo for use by the athletes and other members of the Finnish team at the London 1948 Olympics, in line with Finland's tradition of building 'Olympic saunas' for its athletes' use going back to the Paris 1924 games.The sauna was originally located in the athletes' village in Richmond Park, London, from where it was moved to the Reed Paper Mill in Aylesford a year later, and eventually from there to its current location nearby in 1957.Of single-storey, wooden, prefabricated construction, the building was designed by Finnish architect Toivo Jäntti. It comprises the sauna room as well as a washroom, a dressing/massage room, and a kitchen.The facility was in regular use until 2020, when it was closed down for safety reasons pending refurbishment.It is thought to be England's oldest purpose-built sauna still in use, and the oldest surviving Finnish 'Olympic sauna' anywhere in the world.In January 2024, the building received Grade II listed status from Historic England.

Ditton is a large village and civil parish in the borough of Tonbridge and Malling in Kent, England. The village is 4.6 miles (7.4 km) west-northwest of Maidstone and 1.8 miles (2.9 km) east of West Malling. The parish, which is long and narrow, straddles the A20 (the old Dover to London road), with farmland to the south and industry to the north. It lies in the Medway Valley, on the northern edge of the Kent Weald, and adjoins the ancient parishes of Larkfield, Aylesford and Barming.

New Hythe railway station is on the Medway Valley Line in Kent, England, serving the village of New Hythe. It is 38 miles 3 chains (61.2 km) down the line from London Charing Cross via Strood and is situated between Snodland and Aylesford. The station and all trains that serve the station are operated by Southeastern. The APTIS-equipped ticket office, in a 1930s building on the northbound platform, closed in September 1989 and subsequently became derelict. In 2007, a PERTIS (Permit to Travel) ticket machine was installed at the entrance to the northbound platform.

Leybourne is a small village and civil parish in Kent, England situated off Junction 4 of the M20 Motorway. Leybourne is adjacent to New Hythe, Larkfield and West Malling. As of 2020 Leybourne Parish had a population of 4,372.Historically, the area was extensively quarried, leaving a number of flooded gravel pits. These have recently been developed into Leybourne Lakes Country Park, and a housing development. Several of the houses on the development feature in the Channel 4 TV Series Cape Wrath. Nearby New Hythe was also home (until 2004) of Meridian's newsroom and studio for the South East. Leybourne's name is the origin of that of the French city Libourne.

The Holmesdale School is a coeducational high school and sixth form located in Snodland, Kent.It was previously a foundation school administered by Kent County Council and The Malling Holmesdale Federation Trust, which also included The Malling School. It was also part of the Mid Kent Learning Alliance. In September 2022 The Holmesdale School converted to academy status, and is now sponsored by the Swale Academies Trust.The Holmesdale School offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A Levels and further BTECs. The school was previously designated as a Technology College and was renamed Holmesdale Technology College for a time. Holmesdale Technology College was renamed The Holmesdale School in April 2016, but the school continues to specialise in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).They play a number of different sports including dodgeball and Korfball
