Autodesk Softimage, or simply Softimage () is a discontinued 3D computer graphics application, for producing 3D computer graphics, 3D modeling, and computer animation. Now owned by Autodesk and formerly titled Softimage|XSI, the software has been predominantly used in the film, video game, and advertising industries for creating computer generated characters, objects, and environments. Released in 2000 as the successor to Softimage|3D, Softimage|XSI was developed by its eponymous company, then a subsidiary of Avid Technology. On October 23, 2008, Autodesk acquired the Softimage brand and 3D animation assets from Avid for approximately $35 million, thereby ending Softimage Co. as a distinct entity. In February 2009, Softimage|XSI was rebranded Autodesk Softimage. A free version of the software, called Softimage Mod Tool, was developed for the game modding community to create games using the Microsoft XNA toolset for PC and Xbox 360, or to create mods for games using Valve's Source engine, Epic Games's Unreal Engine and others. It was discontinued with the release of Softimage 2014. On March 4, 2014, it was announced that Autodesk Softimage would be discontinued after the release of the 2015 version, providing product support until April 30, 2016.

Notman House (French: Maison Notman) is a historic building at 51 Sherbrooke Street West in Montreal, Quebec, near the Golden Square Mile. Completed in 1845 for Sir William Collis Meredith, the house takes its name from the celebrated photographer, William Notman, who lived there with his family from 1876 until his death in 1891. The house is the only surviving residence of its era on Sherbrooke Street, and one of Quebec's few residential examples of Greek Revival architecture. It was classified as an historical monument and added to the Répertoire du patrimoine culturel du Québec on December 8, 1979.

École des beaux-arts de Montréal (The School of Fine Arts in Montreal; EBAM) was an educational institution founded in Quebec in 1922. The Saint-Jean-Baptiste Society was instrumental in its creation. Its former Sherbrooke Street building now houses the Office québécois de la langue française. Faculty of the school include Edwin Holgate as well as Academy Award-winning animator and painter Frédéric Back, who taught there briefly prior to joining Radio-Canada.The building was completed in 1922 as the Commercial & Technical High School, designed by Montreal architect Jean-Omer Marchand, and is located at 3450 Saint Urbain Street (at Sherbrooke Street) in Montreal.In 1969, the school was incorporated into the Faculty of the Arts of the University of Quebec at Montreal.

The Monastère du Bon-Pasteur is a multifunctional site in Montreal, Québec. It houses offices, a long-term care home, private apartments, and a historic chapel: the Chapelle historique du Bon-Pasteur. Located at 100 Sherbrooke Street East, the former monastery forms part of the Sainte-Marie neighbourhood. The Monastère du Bon-Pasteur was classified as a heritage building by the Québec Minister of Culture and Communications on 11 July 1979.

The Just for Laughs Museum was a Canadian museum that opened in 1993, dedicated to humour (mainly stand-up comedy) located in Montreal, Quebec. The museum closed in 2011. It had been visited by more than two million people since its opening.

The Théâtre de Quat'Sous is a Canadian theatre on Pine Avenue in the borough of Le Plateau-Mont-Royal in the city of Montreal, Quebec. Established in 1955, it is the third-oldest theatre company in Montreal after Théâtre du Rideau Vert and Théâtre du Nouveau Monde. The first Canadian play about and starring a drag queen, Hosanna by Michel Tremblay, was first performed at Théâtre de Quat'Sous in 1973.

Saint Louis Square (officially in French: square Saint-Louis) is an urban square in Montreal's Plateau Mont Royal. Its eastern edge fronts onto Saint Denis Street, a major north–south artery. Square Saint Louis Street runs along both the square's northern and southern sides, while Laval Avenue runs along its western side.

Jeanne Mance Street (French: rue Jeanne-Mance) is a north–south street in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, located east of Park Avenue. It was named in 1914 in honour of Jeanne Mance, the founder of the Hôtel-Dieu de Montréal, which is also located along this street. Jeanne Mance Street spans nearly the entire island of Montreal, but in several discontinuous portions. It starts in the south at Viger Avenue and continues north to Pine Avenue but does not connect to it as it is a dead end. It resumes north of Jeanne-Mance Park, from Mount Royal Avenue to Van Horne Avenue. Another section goes from Beaubien Street up to the Canadian Pacific tracks. It then continues in several discontinuous stretches along the same axis and ends slightly north of Gouin Boulevard. Complexe Desjardins, the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal, Montreal, arts interculturels and UQAM's President Kennedy building are all located along this street.

The Neuroethics Research Unit was created in 2006, at the Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal (IRCM), which is affiliated to the Université de Montréal. The Unit is one of the pioneer units in Canada in this area of research. Neuroethics is a new area of research where bioethics and neuroscience intersect. The focus is on ethical considerations in neuroscience research and the many ethical issues that arise from the transfer of neuroscience to health care.

St. John the Evangelist is a parish of the Anglican Diocese of Montreal in the Anglican Church of Canada in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, founded by Father Edmund Wood in 1861; its church is well known in Montreal as the "Red Roof Church", which is also the headquarters of St. Michael's Mission. Its orientation is Anglo-Catholic, and it is the only Anglican locale in Montreal to practise this tradition, known as High Church. Solemn High Mass is celebrated on Sundays and feast days and Solemn Evensong and Benediction several Sundays a year. Mass is said daily, in French on Tuesdays. The parish of Saint-Benoît-de-Nursie, a French-language congregation of the Orthodox Church in America, worships in the Chapel of Our Lady of Walsingham in the church's crypt. The church is part of the Conseil du Patrimoine religieux du Québec.The building has starred alongside Nick Nolte in the film Affliction, and in the Quebec science-fiction television series 'Dans une galaxie près de chez vous'. The building is located in downtown Montreal, nested within Université du Québec à Montréal buildings, and Quartier des Spectacles, at 137 President Kennedy Avenue, Montreal, Quebec, H2X 3P6

Ontario Street (officially in French: rue Ontario) is an east-west artery in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It crosses the boroughs of Ville-Marie and Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. In the later the street becomes mixed residential and commercial and is known as Promenade Ontario.

Sherbrooke Street (officially in French: rue Sherbrooke) is a major east–west artery and at 31.3 kilometres (19.4 mi) in length, is the second longest street on the Island of Montreal. The street begins in the town of Montreal West and ends on the extreme tip of the island in Pointe-aux-Trembles, intersecting Gouin Boulevard and joining up with Notre-Dame Street. East of Cavendish Boulevard this road is part of Quebec Route 138. The street is divided into two portions. Sherbrooke Street East is located east of Saint Laurent Boulevard and Sherbrooke Street West is located west. Sherbrooke Street West is home to many historic mansions that comprised its exclusive Golden Square Mile district, including the now-demolished Van Horne Mansion, the imposing Beaux-Arts style Montreal Masonic Memorial Temple as well as several historic properties incorporated into Maison Alcan, the world headquarters for Alcan.Sherbrooke Street East runs along the edge (both administrative and topographic) of the Plateau Mont-Royal, at the top of a marked hillside known as Côte à Baron, and continues between the Jardin Botanique de Montréal and Parc Maisonneuve to the north and Parc Olympique to the south. The street is named for John Coape Sherbrooke, the Governor General of British North America from 1816 to 1818.
