Gobōyama Site

The Sakitama Bridge (幸魂大橋, Sakitamaōhashi) is a road bridge on Japan National Route 298 and the Tokyo Gaikan Expressway that spans the Arakawa/Shingashi River and the Arakawa Adjustment Pond (Ayako) between Bijogi, Toda and Niikura, Wakō in Saitama Prefecture. It is also known as Kotamabashi.

Wakōshi Station (和光市駅, Wakōshi-eki) is an interchange passenger railway station located in the city of Wakō, Saitama, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Tōbu Railway and Tokyo subway operator Tokyo Metro. It is the only Tokyo Metro station located in Saitama Prefecture. It is the westernmost station in the Tokyo subway network, and the northernmost Tokyo Metro station (Nishi-takashimadaira on the Toei network is farther north).

Riken (Japanese: 理研, English: ; stylized in all caps as RIKEN) is a large scientific research institute in Japan. Founded in 1917, it now has about 3,000 scientists on seven campuses across Japan, including the main site at Wakō, Saitama Prefecture, just outside Tokyo. Riken is a Designated National Research and Development Institute, and was formerly an Independent Administrative Institution. Riken conducts research in many areas of science, including physics, chemistry, biology, genomics, medical science, engineering, high-performance computing and computational science, and ranging from basic research to practical applications with 485 partners worldwide. It is almost entirely funded by the Japanese government, and its annual budget is about ¥88 billion (US$790 million).

RIKEN Brain Science Institute (RIKEN-BSI) was established in 1997 as part of RIKEN, focusing on neuroscience research located in Wakō city, Saitama Prefecture in the greater Tokyo area, Japan. In 2018 RIKEN-BSI has been reorganized as RIKEN Center for Brain Science, a new center under RIKEN. Yasushi Miyashita became the first Director of RIKEN-CBS.The current director is Ryoichiro Kageyama (2021-).

The Akatsuka Botanical Garden (板橋区立赤塚植物園, Itabashi Kuritsu Akatsuka Shokubutsuen) is a botanical garden located at 5-17-14 Akatsuka, Itabashi, Tokyo, Japan. It is open daily. The garden is located in Akatsuka's hills and contains over 600 varieties of trees and plants. The Manyo Yakuyo Garden is a Manyo Botanical Garden containing medicinal herbs mentioned in the Man'yōshū anthology.
