Apex (sometimes Apex Bar) is a beer bar in Portland, Oregon. Jesse McCann opened the bar in southeast Portland's Hosford-Abernethy neighborhood in 2010. The cash-only and bicycle-friendly business has dozens of beer on tap, a large patio, and pinball machines. Apex is popular and has garnered a positive reception. It is slated to stop operating at its current location in August 2024, as the lease was not renewed.

Portobello Vegan Trattoria was an Italian restaurant specializing in plant-based cuisine in Portland, Oregon's Hosford-Abernethy neighborhood, in the United States. The restaurant was co-founded by Dinae Horne and Aaron Adams in December 2008. Adams sold his part of the company in 2014. Portobello closed on December 31, 2016, after hosting a New Year's Eve party.

The restaurant and closed in 2012. Ping reopened in southeast Portland's Hosford-Abernethy neighborhood in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bob Stacey Crossing (formerly Gideon Overcrossing) is a pedestrian bridge in southeast Portland, Oregon's Hosford-Abernethy neighborhood, in the United States. The bridge spans tracks for both Union Pacific Railroad and TriMet's MAX Light Rail. Construction on the $15 million project started in May 2019. The overcrossing opened in November 2020.The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) renamed the bridge Bob Stacey Crossing in 2021.

L'Orange has garnered a positive reception and ranked fourth in The Oregonian's list of Portland's best new restaurants of 2023.

Southeast Grind was a coffeehouse in Portland, Oregon's Hosford-Abernethy neighborhood, in the United States. Opened by owner Kacey Birch in 2009, Southeast Grind was the city's only coffee shop operating 24 hours a day, as of 2019. Besides coffee and espresso drinks, the coffeehouse served juices, smoothies, teas, pastries, quesadillas, salads, sandwiches, and other snacks. Southeast Grind was described as a "safe, reliable spot", a "living room", and a "respite" for a diverse clientele, especially students. It closed in October 2019 because of lease issues, renovations required to address the building's structural problems and Birch's desire to focus on family.

Aladdin Theater is a theater in the Brooklyn neighborhood of southeast Portland, Oregon. It originally opened as a vaudeville house called Geller's Theatre on December 25 (Christmas Day), 1927. Its name was changed to Aladdin in 1934. Later the venue operated as a pornographic cinema for more than 30 years, screening the film Deep Throat for fourteen of them. It was revived as a classic movie and live music venue with a capacity of 620 in 1991.
