The Stanislaus County Fair, located in Turlock, California, opens every year in mid-July. It is the largest event in Stanislaus County. For 10 days, more than 220,000 visitors attend the 72-acre (290,000 m2) fairgrounds. There are nightly celebrity concerts, performances on five stages, and over 30 food concessionaires. The fair shows over 30,000 local talent exhibits, over 1,750 animals, and more than 35 carnival rides.

It is owned by the Assyrian American Civic Club of Turlock, Inc., and broadcasts a variety of Middle Eastern music, concentrating on Assyrian music. It has been operated by the Assyrian American Club since 1993; the club purchased it from original owner Turlock High School, which operated it as a training program and class for high school students.

Turlock High School (THS) is a comprehensive high school located in Turlock, in the heart of the northern San Joaquin Valley in the U.S. state of California. Turlock High School is situated on a 40+ acre campus, in the midst of a long established residential neighborhood, consisting of 133 classrooms positioned in and around an array of athletic, agricultural, business, and vocational complexes. It serves two public elementary school districts in addition to a number of private and parochial schools that exist in the surrounding area. By the late 20th century, THS was the second largest high school in northern California. However, to ease the burden of overcrowding, a community bond was passed in 1998 to construct a second comprehensive campus, John H. Pitman High School, which opened in August, 2002.

Pitman High School, colloquially Pitman High School (PHS), is the second comprehensive high school located in Turlock, in the heart of the northern San Joaquin Valley in the U.S. state of California. It is situated in a transitional agrarian/suburban community and serves most of the northern part of Turlock, as well as the nearby CDP of Keyes. John H. Pitman consists of a 45 acre campus built alongside a suburban housing, placed between W Christoffersen Pkwy and N Kilroy Rd. John H. Pitman is ranked #4,120 in the country and #618 in the state

Denair High School is a public high school located in Denair, California founded in 1912.

Denair is a census-designated place (CDP) in Stanislaus County, California, United States. The population was 4,404 at the 2010 census, up from 3,446 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Modesto Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Turlock–Denair station is an Amtrak intercity rail station in Denair, California, which also serves the nearby larger town of Turlock. The station is served by the seven daily round trips of the San Joaquins. The growth of Turlock and Denair was bolstered by rival railroads. Turlock was established by the Southern Pacific Railroad as it built through the area in the early 1870s. A few decades later, the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway constructed a line roughly three miles to the east, and the town of Denair developed along the tracks. Amtrak chose to use the Santa Fe tracks when the San Joaquin service was established in 1974. Denair (later called Turlock–Denair) was added as a stop on September 8, 1987.
