The Minnesota Museum of American Art ("The M") is an American art museum located in the Historic Pioneer Endicott building in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The museum holds more than 5,000 artworks that showcase the unique voice of American artists from the 19th century to the present. Guided by the belief that art should reflect the constantly shifting landscape that defines the American experience, the museum desires to celebrate the work of artists from the 19th and 20th centuries as well as new voices that have emerged from communities of color, immigrants, their children and grandchildren.

The Merchants National Bank or Brooks Building is a commercial building in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States, built and opened in 1892 as a financial center in St. Paul's Lowertown neighborhood at the corner of Jackson Street and Fifth Street. The structure, designed by Edward Bassford, uses sandstone in a Richardsonian Romanesque style. The ground floor was occupied by an influential bank, while the upper stories provided law offices. Several office tenants went on to great state or national prominence, including Cushman Kellogg Davis, Cordenio Severance, Frank B. Kellogg, Pierce Butler, and William D. Mitchell. For many years, the building was known as the McColl Building. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The four-story structure was carefully rehabilitated and restored by David A. Brooks, and the building now carries his family name.

The United States District Court for the District of Minnesota (in case citations, D. Minn.) is the federal district court whose jurisdiction is the state of Minnesota. Its two primary courthouses are in Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Cases are also heard in the federal courthouses of Duluth and Fergus Falls. Appeals from the District of Minnesota are taken to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit (except for patent claims and claims against the U.S. government under the Tucker Act, which are appealed to the Federal Circuit).

Cray Plaza (formerly Galtier Plaza), located in the Lowertown neighborhood of Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States, provides space for working, living, eating, and recreating on one square city block opened in 1986.Features include 365 apartments, 121 luxury condominiums, 16 townhomes, 192,000 square feet (17,800 m2) of retail and restaurant space, 100,000 square feet (9,300 m2) of office space, and a 5-level underground parking garage for 829 cars.

The Pioneer and Endicott Buildings are two office buildings located in downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. The 1890-built Endicott building forms an L-shape around the 1889-built Pioneer Building. At its completion, the Pioneer building was the tallest in Saint Paul. The Endicott building was designed by Cass Gilbert and James Knox Taylor; the Pioneer Building was designed by Solon Spencer Beman in the Romanesque style; it was the first building in the United States to have a glass elevator. Connected in the 1940s, they are together listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The Pioneer Building was the tallest building in Saint Paul, Minnesota from its construction in 1889 until 1915 when the Cathedral of St. Paul was constructed. It surpassed the Globe Building.

The First National Bank Building is a 417-foot-tall high-rise building in downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. The building has the tallest connecting skyway in the Twin Cities.

Downtown Saint Paul is an official neighborhood in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. Its boundaries are the Mississippi River to the south, University Avenue to the north, US 52 to the east, and Kellogg Avenue to the west. It is bounded by the Dayton's Bluff, Summit-University, West Seventh, Frogtown, West Side, and Payne-Phalen neighborhoods. The West Side neighborhood is on the other side of the river, and can be accessed via the Robert Street Bridge or the Wabasha Street Bridge. Interstate 35E and Interstate 94 run through the north side of the neighborhood, providing a separation between the Minnesota State Capitol and other state government buildings with the rest of downtown.

Saint Paul Union Depot is a historic railroad station and intermodal transit hub in the Lowertown neighborhood of the city of Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. It serves light rail, intercity rail, intercity bus, and local bus services. It is the eastern terminus for the METRO Green Line light rail line, with the stop located outside the station's headhouse. It is also the Twin Cities' stop for Amtrak, the national intercity railroad service. In addition to rail, Union Depot also serves Metro Transit, Minnesota Valley Transit Authority (MVTA), Jefferson Lines, Greyhound Lines, and Megabus. The headhouse, located at the 4th Street entrance, was designed by architect Charles Sumner Frost and is neoclassical in style. The concourse and the waiting room that extend over the tracks are viewed as a great architectural achievements. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. It is also a contributing property to the Lowertown Historic District.In addition to its transit uses, Union Depot also contains a Hertz rental car location, coffee shop, restaurant, a bike shop, offices, a museum, and loft condominiums.

The Finch, Vanslyck and McConville Dry Goods Company Building is a classical revival warehouse building designed by James E. Denson, built by George Grant Construction Company, in 1911 and 1923; it is part of Lowertown Historic District in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. It fronts Mears Park and is currently used as residential apartments, under the name of Cosmopolitan Apartments. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Metropolitan Opera House was a historic opera house located in Saint Paul, Minnesota located at 100 East Sixth Street. Plans to build the house began after the Grand Opera House burned down on January 21, 1889. Initial plans for the house were designed by Leroy Buffington, but his plans were abandoned due to insufficient funds. Business tycoon Robert Mannheimer eventually came to the rescue, providing half a million dollars towards the project. New plans by Charles A. Reed were used for the house which was built over a few months in 1890. The opera house opened for business that year and served as Saint Paul's opera venue until 1936.

Central (formerly known as 4th & Cedar until November 2011) is a light rail station along the Green Line in Saint Paul, Minnesota. It is unique among Central Corridor stations in that it is not located in the middle of or directly adjacent to a road, but rather at a 45° angle to surrounding streets like the U.S. Bank Stadium station on the Blue Line. It is located on the block bounded by 5th Street, Minnesota Street, 4th Street, and Cedar Street. Utility relocation construction work began along 4th Street in August 2009, well before the Green Line had received final funding or approval. Construction along Cedar Street, including demolition of the former Bremer Bank building on the block began in 2011. A skyway through the Bremer building was closed for much of the year but reopened on November 1, 2011. The station opened along with the rest of the line on June 14, 2014.
