Isehara (伊勢原市, Isehara-shi) is a city located in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 June 2021, the city had an estimated population of 101,670 and a population density of 1800 persons per km². The total area of the city is 55.56 square kilometres (21.45 sq mi).

The Isehara Hachimandai Stone Age Dwelling Site (伊勢原八幡台石器時代住居跡, Isehara Hachimandai sekki-jidai jūkyo ato) is an archaeological site containing the ruins of a Jōmon period settlement located in what is now the Hachimandai neighborhood of the city of Isehara, Kanagawa Prefecture in the southern Kantō region of Japan. The site was designated a National Historic Site of Japan in 1934.

The Hiratsuka Naval Ammunitions Arsenal (平塚海軍火薬廠, Hiratsuka Kaigun Kayaku Shō) was the principal manufacturer of gunpowder, explosives, ammunition and artillery shells for the Imperial Japanese Navy. It was located in the town of Ōno (now part of the city of Hiratsuka), Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.

Shigitatsu-an (Japanese: 鴫立庵) is a haikai dojo (Japanese: 俳諧道場) in Ōiso, Kanagawa, Japan, where people learn haiku poetry from the master there or from each other. It is one of the three important such dojo, the other two being Rakushi-sha (落柿舎) in Sagano, Kyoto, and Mumei-an (無名庵) in Ōtsu, Shiga. Shigitasu-an was built in 1664 by Sōsetsu (崇雪) as a humble hut on the rivulet, Shigitatsu-sawa, Ōiso, where the 12th century waka poet, monk Saigyō, was said to write one of his most famous poems which was later included in the Shin Kokin Wakashū: In 1694, Michikaze Ōyodo (大淀三千風) became the master at Shigitatsu-an. In 1768, it was re-established by Chōsui Shirai (白井鳥酔). Currently, Motoi Ei (ja:本井英) is the 23rd master (2020-). Shigitatsu-an was built on Tokaido, the main thoroughfare between Edo and Kyoto, which is now National Route 1. There stands a stele erected by Oiso Town that the word "Shōnan" was first mentioned by Sosetsu introducing Shigitatsu-an to the passers-by.

Nissan Shatai Co., Ltd. is a Japanese automobile contract manufacturer for Nissan that is headquartered in Hiratsuka, Kanagawa. Its direct history began in 1949. As of September 2016, Nissan owns 45.8% of the company stock.It has offices around Japan and assembly lines in Hiratsuka and Kanda, Fukuoka. This should not be confused with the nearby, older Nissan Motor Kyushu Plant in Kanda that builds the Nissan Rogue and its twin the Nissan X-Trail. Nissan Shatai focuses on light commercial vehicles, multipurpose special vehicles and specially-equipped vehicles. It currently produces vehicles such as the Nissan NV200 and Nissan Elgrand. In the past, it also produced Datsun Trucks and Nissan Safaris (sold as Nissan Patrol in various export markets).
