Joe Martin Stadium is a baseball park in the northwest United States, located in Bellingham, Washington. It was a minor league ballpark in the Class A-Short Season Northwest League for 24 seasons, from 1973 through 1996. The ballpark hosted three different NWL teams. The Bellingham Dodgers arrived in 1973 and stayed for four seasons. They were replaced in 1977 by the most well-known tenant, the Bellingham Mariners (or "Baby M's"), who played from 1977 through 1994 and gave big-league Mariners fans a glimpse of the future with players like Ken Griffey Jr., Edgar Martínez, Dave Henderson, and Dave Valle. After 18 seasons and four league championships, the Mariners moved their NWL ballclub closer to Seattle at Everett. The San Francisco Giants brought their affiliate to town where they played for two years (1995–96), then moved south to Oregon and became the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in 1997. In 1999, it became the home of the Bellingham Bells of the Pacific International League (PIL). The Bells played in the PIL for six years. In 2005, the team chose to become one of the founding franchises of the West Coast Collegiate Baseball League. Today, the league was later renamed the West Coast League and features some of the finest collegiate players in the country. Each summer the Bells play around 30 home games at Joe Martin Field as part of their WCL schedule which features teams from Washington, Oregon, Alberta and British Columbia. In 2014, the natural grass playing surface was replaced with synthetic FieldTurf; the renovation cost about $1.44 million and was completed in March 2015. The field has an unorthodox southwest alignment (home plate to center field); the recommended alignment is east-northeast, nearly opposite. Its elevation is approximately 140 feet (43 m) above sea level.

Explorations Academy is an independent school in Bellingham, Washington, United States that integrates experiential education with academic studies. The school was founded in 1995 as a program of the not-for-profit educational organization Global Community Institute.

The J. J. Donovan House, also known as Donovan House, at 1201 Garden Street in Bellingham, Washington is a two-and-a-half-story historic house that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.It was built in 1890 for Edward Fischer and was finished with fine details by its second owner, industrialist John Joseph Donovan. Its architecture is Stick style with Tudor Revival details plus other elements from other Victorian era architectural styles.Early in his career J. J. Donovan worked for the Northern Pacific Railroad as a construction engineer. Later he was a significant player in the lumber industry.It was used as a women's dormitory by Western Washington University for roughly 25 years.

Bellingham High School is a public high school in the Bellingham School District located in Bellingham, Washington. The school serves students primarily from Whatcom, Kulshan, and Shuksan Middle Schools.

The U.S. Post Office and Courthouse in Bellingham, Washington, also known as the Federal Building, was built during 1912–13. It was designed by James Knox Taylor in Renaissance architecture style. It served historically as a courthouse, as a post office, and as a government office building. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.It is a 4-story 122 feet (37 m) by 105 feet (32 m) building.

The B. P. O. E. Building, otherwise known as the Elks Club was originally built for the Bellingham chapter of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in 1912, during the city's second major building boom. It is located within the vicinity of the old Federal Building on Cornwall Avenue, historically known as Dock Street. The Elks no longer occupy the building and it is now home to an Italian restaurant. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 26, 1992.

Congregation Beth Israel (Hebrew: בית ישראל) is a Reform Jewish synagogue located at 751 San Juan Boulevard in Bellingham, Washington, in the United States. It is one of the oldest synagogues in Western Washington.Established in 1908, the congregation consisted mostly of Jewish immigrants from Lithuania. It moved into its first building at 2200 Broadway in 1925. Originally Orthodox, it became more liberal following World War II, and in 1987 joined the Union of American Hebrew Congregations. The congregation moved into a new building at 751 San Juan Boulevard in 2018. At that time membership was 275 families.As of 2023, the rabbi was Joshua Samuels.

Sehome is a neighborhood in Bellingham, Washington. The neighborhood is named after S'Klallam Chief Sehome (Klallam: sx̣ʷiʔám̕). The neighborhood was first platted in 1858 by E.C. Fitzhugh. Sehome was originally owned by the Bellingham Bay and British Columbia Railroad, which operated the Bellingham Bay Coal Mine, later named Sehome Coal Mine. (incorporated on July 16, 1888).

The Leopold Hotel is a historic hotel structure in Bellingham, Washington. The surviving wings were constructed in 1929 and 1967. It is currently used as a combination apartment building and hotel.

The Bellingham National Bank Building is an historic commercial/office building located in downtown Bellingham, Washington. It was originally built from 1912 to 1913 in a restrained Beaux Arts commercial style with reinforced concrete. Even though this particular style was common for cities in the midwest and east coast, the building style was a stark contrast for Bellingham's sandstone and rounded arch buildings. The Bellingham National Bank occupied the building starting on December 1, 1913.Key Bank of Washington occupied the first floor until May 8, 2009. Starting in February 2011, The Stamp & Coin Place, a local bullion and coin trading shop, will occupy the space. The upper-offices are leased to various businesses and government offices, including the Washington State Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals and the Washington State Attorney General's Office.

Bellingham ( BEL-ing-ham) is the most populous city in, and county seat of Whatcom County in the U.S. state of Washington. It lies 21 miles (34 km) south of the U.S.–Canada border and in between Vancouver, British Columbia (located 52 miles (84 km) to the northwest) and Seattle (90 miles (140 km) to the south). Bellingham is the northernmost city with a population of more than 90,000 people in the contiguous United States.The area around Bellingham Bay, named in 1792 by George Vancouver, is the ancestral home of several Coast Salish groups. European settlement in modern-day Bellingham began in the 1850s and several coal mining towns grew in later years. The city of Bellingham was incorporated in 1903 through the consolidation of several settlements, among them Fairhaven. Local industries shifted away from coal in the mid-20th century; the industrial areas of the Bellingham waterfront have undergone redevelopment into a mixed-use neighborhood since the 2000s.

The YWCA Building is a historic Young Women's Christian Association building Bellingham, Washington that was completed in 1915. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977 and continues to be used by the Bellingham YWCA.
