Town of Cambridge

Floreat is a residential suburb 8 kilometres (5 mi) west-northwest of the central business district of Perth, the capital of Western Australia. It is bordered on Underwood Avenue, Selby Street, Cromarty Road and Durston Road. It is the head of the Town of Cambridge, which has its municipal offices and library in the suburb. The name of the suburb stems from the Latin word for "flourish" or "prosper", which is also the motto of the City of Perth, of which Floreat was a part when it was first built.

Churchlands is a Legislative Assembly electorate in the state of Western Australia. Churchlands is named for the western suburb of Churchlands, which falls within its borders, and was created at the 1994 redistribution, replacing the seat of Floreat which had existed since 1968.It was held for most of its history by Liz Constable, the independent former member for Floreat who had won the predecessor seat in a 1991 by-election. However, the seat's demographics suggested it was a strongly Liberal seat on paper, and it was taken for granted Constable would be succeeded by a Liberal once she retired. Constable retired at the 2013 election, and was succeeded as expected by Liberal Sean L'Estrange. L'Estrange held the seat until his unexpected defeat by Christine Tonkin in 2021.

Model Timber Home is the name, for heritage-listing purposes, of a timber-framed house in Floreat, Western Australia. Designed by Reginald Summerhayes, the plans won a competition for the design of an ideal cheap modern timber-framed home. The house was subsequently built on donated land, using donated materials and labour in 1934.

Perry Lakes Stadium was a multi-purpose stadium adjacent to Perry Lakes in Floreat, Western Australia. It was built and funded by the State Government and the City of Perth in 1962 for the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games and had a nominal capacity of 30,000. Many other events had been held at Perry Lakes Stadium over the years such as the athletics, soccer and rugby. It has been redeveloped into a residential site and the facility has been replaced by the Western Australian Athletics Stadium, which was constructed on the southern side of Underwood Avenue, which opened nearby in March 2009. The new facilities were funded by the Town of Cambridge and the State Government. It was the venue of the Public Schools Association and Associated and Catholic Colleges of Western Australia (ACC) athletics carnivals and was also used for the Cancer Council of Western Australia's Relay for Life. The opening and closing ceremonies for the annual Countryweek sports carnival were also held at the stadium with most sporting events being conducted at McGillivray Oval and UWA Sports Park. Demolition of the stadium began in April 2010, with the grandstand being demolished in September 2012.

Perry Lakes Basketball Stadium was a purpose-built basketball stadium located in Perth, Western Australia. The stadium was built for the Australian Basketball Senior Men's Championships held in October 1962, and was Western Australia's home of basketball until 2010.At the time of construction, the stadium featured three courts and had no second stand facing Court 1. Courts 2 and 3 had bitumen surfaces and ran parallel to the other courts. Later Courts 4 and 5 were added, followed by the corridor along with Courts 6, 7 and 8. Court 1 at Perry Lakes was considered by many to be second only to Apollo Stadium in Adelaide as the finest in Australia.The stadium housed the headquarters of Basketball Western Australia and Perry Lakes Basketball Association. The Perth Wildcats played their home games at Perry Lakes between 1982 and 1986, while the Perth Lynx played at Perry Lakes between 1988 and 2010.The stadium was closed in March 2010 and later demolished to make way for housing developments. The stadium's successor was Bendat Basketball Centre, located just metres down the road.

The Schmidt-Lademann House is a residential dwelling built 1958 in Floreat, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. It is designed by Bulgarian-born architect Iwan Iwanoff and is an iconic example of mid-century modern architecture in Australia.

The WA Basketball Centre (also known by its sponsored name, the Bendat Basketball Centre) is a multi-purpose stadium located in Perth, Western Australia. The stadium features eight courts, including two basketball show courts with 1,100 permanent seats and 900 retractable seats, and a six-court sports hall with multi-sport line markings. Facilities cater primarily for basketball, in addition to netball, volleyball and badminton. The stadium also holds a function room on the first floor for up to 270 people, with bar and kitchen facilities. The stadium houses the offices of Basketball Western Australia, Perry Lakes Basketball Association, and the Perth Wildcats. The facility is the main training base of the Wildcats, home court of the Perth Lynx, and hosts countless state, junior and social games throughout the year.

The Perry Lakes Reserve is a nature reserve located approximately 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) west of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia, in the suburb of Floreat. Within the 80-hectare (200-acre) reserve are two lakes, East Lake and West Lake, comprising approximately 12.6 hectares (31 acres).In its current form, the reserve dates from 1962 when the area was landscaped in association with the construction of Perry Lakes Stadium and associated sporting tracks and facilities for the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games. The Australian Scout Jamboree has been held in the parkland twice, during the summers of 1979/80 and 1994/95. The sporting complex was demolished in 2011 to make way for housing development.

Newman College is a pre-K–12 co-educational Catholic school which operates in the Marist tradition in Churchlands, Western Australia. It is currently a joint governed college with the governors being the Archbishop of Perth, Timothy Costelloe, and the Provincial of the Marist Brothers of the Southern Province of Australia, Brother Paul Gilchrist. The college is a foundation member of the Association of Marist Schools of Australia (AMSA).

UWA Sports Park is a multi-purpose sporting and recreation reserve in Mount Claremont, Western Australia. It is located on 56 hectares of land approximately 10 km west of Perth and is owned by the University of Western Australia.The park provides sporting facilities for Australian rules football, Rugby union, soccer, and field hockey as well as baseball, softball and tennis. The park has clubhouse and changing room facilities and the fields have lighting suitable for hosting night time sports events. The land that UWA Sports Park is situated on was gifted to the university by the Government of Western Australia in 1904.Clubs based at UWA Sports Park as of 2014 include: UWAAC Athletics Club (founded 1928) UBSC University Baseball and Softball Club (founded 1947) UWA Hockey Club (est. 1924) UWA Rugby Club (founded 1929) UWA Tennis Club (est. 1914) UWA Football Club (founded 1911, Australian rules football - PFL) UWA Nedlands Football Club (founded 1949, Association football)UWA Sports Park was also the main home ground in Perth to host National Rugby Championship matches; for the Perth Spirit (2014–2017) and Western Force (2018–2019).
