The Museum for Old Techniques (Dutch: Museum voor de Oudere Technieken, MOT) is located in Grimbergen, Belgium. The museum has an extensive collection of hand tools, technical manuals and trade catalogues. The MOT studies the history of techniques, more specifically natural power. The subject is limited to what is driven by muscle, water or wind power.

Grimbergen Abbey is a Premonstratensian monastery in Grimbergen, Flemish Brabant, Belgium, established in 1128 in the place of an earlier foundation of Augustinian Canons. The abbey itself was dissolved in 1796 in the aftermath of the French Revolution, but the abbey church of Saint Servatius survived as the parish church of Grimbergen. After the French Revolution the abbey was reinstated. The building in its present form dates from 1660. It was elevated to the status of basilica minor in 1999.

Grimbergen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɣrɪmbɛrɣə(n)]) is a municipality in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant, 10 km north of the capital Brussels. It comprises the towns of Beigem, Grimbergen, Humbeek, and Strombeek-Bever. In 2017, it had a population of 37,030 and an area of 38.61 km2, giving a population density of 959 inhabitants per km2. Grimbergen is in the Dutch language area of Belgium. The French-speaking minority is represented by four members on the 30-seat local council. Grimbergen is mostly known for its Norbertine abbey and the beer once brewed there. Grimbergen's proximity to Brussels makes it a residential town for commuting.

Strombeek-Bever is a town with approximately 11,500 inhabitants in the municipality of Grimbergen, in the province of Flemish Brabant, Belgium. A suburb on the north side of Brussels, it is separated from Grimbergen proper by the R0 ring road around the city. It borders Laken to the south and the municipality of Vilvoorde to the east. The official language is Dutch (as everywhere in Flanders). Strombeek is home to a substantial minority of French-speakers.

Grimbergen Airfield (Dutch: Vliegveld Grimbergen, ICAO: EBGB) is a general aviation aerodrome located in Grimbergen, a municipality of the province of Flemish Brabant in Belgium. Like many recreational aerodromes in Belgium, it is formally a private field, requiring prior permission to land from visitors. The airfield is home to motorized aircraft, either privately owned or belonging to two active aeroclubs. It also hosts an aircraft repair and maintenance company. There are two remarkable hangars on the airfield, constructed in 1947 by builder-architect Alfred Hardy (architect). Looking more like silos, they are in fact round hangars made of concrete.The airfield was first created in 1939 by Belgian military, and came to full development by German occupation forces. After the war, it hosted the pilot's school of Belgian flag carrier Sabena. In 1989, as part of a political reorganisation, the aerodrome was passed from the Belgian national authority RLW/RVA to the regional Flemish government, who closed it soon after. The aerodrome reopened in 1997 at the hands of a private not for profit association, who have been running it since. A large part of the aerodrome had to be given up however, to be transformed into a forest, Lintbos.

The Military Ordinariate of Belgium (Dutch: Bisdom bij de Krijgsmacht; French: Diocèse aux Forces armées belges) is a Latin Church military ordinariate of the Catholic Church. Immediately exempt to the Holy See, it provides pastoral care to Catholics serving in the Belgian Armed Forces and their families.

Neder-Over-Heembeek is a northern part of the City of Brussels municipality, inside the Brussels-Capital Region, Belgium. It is a former municipality which lost its municipality status when it was merged with the City of Brussels. Now it is a section of that municipality, and a predominantly industrial zone, remarkable principally for the Military Hospital, which is the National Burns and Poisons center.

John of Ruysbroeck College (Dutch, Jan-van-Ruusbroeckollege) is a Roman Catholic secondary school in Laeken. It was founded by the Society of Jesus and is named after John of Ruysbroeck.

The Museums of the Far East (French: Musées d'Extrême-Orient, Dutch: Musea van het Verre Oosten) is a complex of three museums in Laeken, City of Brussels, Belgium, dedicated to Oriental art and culture, specifically that of China and Japan. It is part of the Royal Museums of Art and History (RMAH). The three museums have been closed since 2013 because of structural weaknesses. Some items from their collections are on public display at the Art & History Museum.

The Japanese Tower (French: Tour japonaise, Dutch: Japanse Toren) is a Japanese pagoda located in Laeken, City of Brussels, Belgium. The five-story tall pagoda measures nearly 50 metres (160 ft) in height, and is part of the Museums of the Far East three-museum complex. It was built by order of King Leopold II, between 1900 and 1904. The tower has a combination of decoration and architecture that only a few places in Japan have, and is considered of "genuine historical interest in both Belgium and Japan". The tower was temporarily closed for renovation in 2013, and as of 2022, it is still closed to the public.

Meise (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈmɛi̯sə]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. The municipality comprises the towns of Meise proper and Wolvertem (a deelgemeente), and, several smaller villages like Sint-Brixius-Rode, Oppem, Meusegem, Impde/Imde, Rossem, Westrode and quarters as Bouchout, Nerom and Slozen. As of January 1, 2006, Meise had a total population of 18,464. The total area is 34.82 km² which gives a population density of 530 inhabitants per km². Meise is also a last name of a few families originating from Germany.

Humbeek is a small town in Belgium with approximately 4.574 inhabitants. It is located in the municipality of Grimbergen, in the province of Flemish Brabant. Humbeek has an area of 7,87 km2 and a population density of 506 inhabitants per km2. Humbeek is located along the Brussels–Scheldt Maritime Canal, which divides the village in two.
