Bourassa (electoral district)

Bourassa-Sauvé is a provincial electoral district in Quebec, Canada, that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It is located within Montreal and consists of most of the borough of Montréal-Nord. It was created for the 2003 election from parts of Bourassa and Sauvé. In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, its territory was unchanged.

Its successor electoral districts were Bourassa-Sauvé (formed by merging part of Bourassa with all of Sauvé electoral district) and Crémazie. It was named after nationalist politician Henri Bourassa, who was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Quebec from 1907 to 1912 and also served in the House of Commons of Canada.

Lester B. Pearson High School (French: École secondaire Lester B. Pearson) is an English language secondary school located in Montreal North, a borough of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is part of the English Montreal School Board. It was established in 1976. The Canadian student press, Learning for a Cause, was founded here in 2004. The school is also known for its unique student-athlete academic program. Prior to 1998, it was operated by the Montreal Catholic School Commission.

Sauvé was a former provincial electoral district in the Canadian province of Quebec. It included part of the city and later borough of Montréal-Nord. It was created for the 1973 election from part of Bourassa electoral district. Its final election was in 1998. In the 2003 election, part of Bourassa and all of Sauvé were combined again to create Bourassa-Sauvé. It was named after former Quebec Premier Paul Sauvé, who led the province for 100 days in 1959 after the death of Maurice Duplessis, until his own death.

Montreal North (French: Montréal-Nord) is a borough (arrondissement) of the city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It consists entirely of the former city of Montréal-Nord on Island of Montreal in southwestern Quebec. It was amalgamated into the City of Montreal on January 1, 2002. Around the start of the 21st century, Montréal-Nord developed a reputation of being one of Montreal's most dangerous boroughs, along with Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. The area contains a sizable community living below the poverty line, though it also has middle-class and upper-middle-class residences. It's also home to one of Canada's largest Haitian communities.

It is located in northern Montreal and consists of the entire Anjou borough of Montreal plus a part of the Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough. The riding was created in 1972 under the name Anjou. For the 2012 election, it was renamed to Anjou–Louis-Riel, but its territory was unchanged.

Aime Renaud High School was a Catholic public English and mixed Junior High School in the east end of Montreal. It was initially located in the then City of Saint-Leonard and then later in the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough in the City of Montreal. Its sports teams competed as the Vikings. The team colours were black and grey.

The Olivier Charbonneau Bridge is a toll bridge over the Rivière des Prairies, between Laval's St. François district and Montreal's Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles borough. Along with the Serge-Marcil Bridge, it is one of two toll bridges in Quebec.

École secondaire Calixa-Lavallée is a francophone public secondary school located in the borough of Montréal-Nord, Montreal, Quebec. Part of the Commission scolaire de la Pointe-de-l'Île (CSPI), it was originally in the catholic School board Commission des écoles catholiques de Montréal(CECM) before the 1998 reorganization of School boards from religious communities into linguistic communities in Quebec. In 1998, along with some other schools in the eastern portion of CECM, it was transferred into the territory of the former Commission scolaire Jérôme-Le Royer, which was replaced by CSPI. École secondaire Calixa-Lavallée offers regular and special education programs, welcoming classes and also professional and adults programs. This school hosts actually 1 661 students and 132 teachers.
