College North is a Metromover station in Downtown, Miami, Florida. This station is located on Northeast Fifth Street and First Avenue, opening to service April 17, 1986.

The Miami Book Fair is an annual street fair and literary festival organized by Miami Dade College. The weeklong gathering attracts more than 300 national and international authors every years and features pavilions for comics, children, and young adults, among others.

Freedom Tower is a Metromover station in Downtown, Miami, Florida, directly west of the Freedom Tower and the Miami-Dade Arena. The station is located at the intersection of Northeast Sixth Street and Second Avenue, opening to service May 26, 1994. The station closed for renovation in July 2020 and remain closed through 2023. The station will connect into the Miami World Center development.

Switchboard of Miami, Inc., commonly referred to as Switchboard, was a private, nonprofit and registered 501(c)(3) organization located in Miami, Florida, United States that provided Miami-Dade County with comprehensive telephone counseling and referral services to thousands of social service programs beginning in 1968. The organization also offered counseling services and prevention programs, such as initiatives aimed at assisting high-risk youth and their families through partnerships with local schools. Since 1968, these services have been offered to the community at no charge. Callers can seek advice confidentially, as no information is needed by the company in order to receive the services. Switchboard shut down in 2016 following a "major financial emergency".

The Federal Detention Center, Miami (FDC Miami) is a prison operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. It is located in downtown Miami, at the corner of Northeast Fourth Street and North Miami Avenue. The administrative facility employed 311 staff as of 2002 and housed 1,512 male and female inmates as of July 15, 2010.

College Bayside is a Metromover station in Downtown, Miami, Florida, adjacent to the Wolfson Campus of Miami Dade College and one block west of the Bayside Marketplace. This station is located at Northeast Third Street and Second Avenue. It opened to service April 17, 1986 and is the last station to transfer directly to the Omni Loop.

The Freedom Tower (Spanish: Torre de la Libertad) is a building in Miami, Florida. It was designed by Schultze and Weaver and is currently used as a contemporary art museum and a central office to different disciplines in the arts associated with Miami Dade College. It is located at 600 Biscayne Boulevard on Miami Dade College's Wolfson Campus. On September 10, 1979, Freedom Tower was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. On October 6, 2008, it was designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark for its role in hosting Cubans as they fled communist Cuba for Florida following the 1959 Cuban Revolution. On April 18, 2012, the AIA's Florida Chapter placed the building on its list of Florida Architecture: 100 Years. 100 Places as the Freedom Tower / Formerly Miami News and Metropolis Building.Freedom Tower is served by the Miami Metrorail at the Government Center Station and the Historic Overtown/Lyric Theatre station, as well as by the Metromover at the Freedom Tower station on the Omni Loop.

The David W. Dyer Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse, formerly known simply as the U.S. Post Office and Courthouse, is an historic United States Post Office and federal courthouse of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida located at 300 Northeast 1st Avenue in Miami, Florida. Built in 1931 of limestone, it is the largest such structure in South Florida.The building was listed in the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1983. In 1997, it was renamed to honor David W. Dyer, a former Chief Judge of the Southern District who was appointed to the circuit court in 1966.

The Empire World Towers were two proposed supertall skyscrapers to be built in Miami, Florida in the United States. The complex consists of the Empire World Tower I and the Empire World Tower II. If completed, both towers would stand at 1,022 feet (312 m), with 93 stories each. They would surpass the Panorama Tower and become the city and state's tallest buildings, since the approved One Bayfront Plaza had been reduced to a height of 1,010 ft. The towers were not built, but in 2023 the supertall Waldorf Astoria Miami began construction on the same block at 300 Biscayne Boulevard.

The Waldorf Astoria Hotel and Residences is a supertall skyscraper currently under construction in Miami, Florida. It will be the tallest building in the entire Southern United States. It is being constructed on the former site of the once-proposed Empire World Towers, which were proposed and ultimately cancelled in the 2000s. It will be the tallest building in the southeastern United States, surpassing the 1,020-foot (311 m) Bank of America Plaza in Atlanta, and the 1,030-foot (314 m) Waterline tower under construction in Austin, Texas. The building is planned to rise to the maximum allowable height in downtown Miami of 1,049 ft (320 meters) above sea level, or about 1,040 ft (317 meters) above ground, making it easily the tallest building in Miami and Florida, surpassing the Panorama Tower built in 2017. Construction began in late 2022 and is expected to top out in 2026 and be completed by January 2028. It is located on Biscayne Boulevard between NE 3rd and 4th Streets in the Central business district of Greater Downtown Miami, across from Bayfront Park. The design is inspired by stacked and cantilevered boxes; it will have nine such cubes with 10 to 11 floors each, comprising nearly 100 stories of condominium and hotel space, topped by a five floor penthouse with over 30,000 square feet (2,800 m2) It is named after the Waldorf Astoria New York in New York City; worldwide Waldorf Astoria hotels are managed under the Hilton Hotels group. All one bedroom apartments in the skyscraper have been sold before construction was even completed. Prices now start at $3.3 million for a two bedroom apartment. The five story, 33,000+ square foot penthouse atop of the structure was also sold for an undisclosed amount. It is the largest residential unit south of New York City.

The Hahn Building is a historic site in Miami, Florida, United States. It is located at 140 Northeast 1st Avenue. On January 4, 1989, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The building was built in 1921, and was designed by Gerald Joseph O'Reilly and George L. Pfeiffer.
