It utilizes a global macro investing style based on economic trends such as inflation, currency exchange rates, and U.S. gross domestic product. Bridgewater Associates began as an institutional investment advisory service, graduated to institutional investing, and pioneered the risk parity investment approach in 1996. In 1981, the company moved its headquarters from New York City to Westport, Connecticut, and currently engages 1,500 employees. As of March 2021, it had approximately US$140 billion in assets under management.

Old Hill is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Westport, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It is in the western part of the town and is bordered to the west by the city of Norwalk. Old Hill was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

The Kettle Creek Historic District encompasses one of the earliest settlement areas of the town of Weston, Connecticut. It consists of a small crossroads village center, extending north from the junction of Weston Road (Connecticut Route 57) and Broad Street to the junction with Old Weston Road, and includes a small number of well-preserved 18th and 19th-century houses. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Willowbrook Cemetery is located at 395 Main Street in Westport, Connecticut. Established in 1847, the cemetery is located close to Westport's downtown area, and features the burials of many members of Westport's historic families, including the Coley, Burr, Nash, Bedford, Bradley and Hurlbutt families.

The Unitarian Church in Westport is a large active Unitarian-Universalist congregation in lower Fairfield that is a member of the Unitarian-Universalist Association. Its dramatic building in Westport, Connecticut was designed by modernist architect Victor A. Lundy and completed in 1965. It won an award from Architect magazine. The congregation was founded in 1949 as "The First Unitarian Fellowship of Fairfield County" and changed its name to "The Unitarian Church in Westport" in 1964. The building has been compared to E. Fay Jones' Thorncrown Chapel (1980) and to the wooden tent Lundy designed for the interior of his Unitarian Meeting House (1964) in Hartford, Connecticut. It's nickname New Ship Church is a reference to the Old Ship Church built in 1681 in Hingham, Massachusetts.

Temple Israel is a reform Jewish synagogue located in Westport, Connecticut. It was established in 1948. Currently, about 700 families are members of the community.

The Shambaugh House is a historic house at 12 Old Hill Road in Westport, Connecticut. It is a two-story structure, built out of random coursed fieldstone, with gable-roofed pavilions projecting from its hipped roof. An attached garage, now converted to residential use, is built of similar materials. The house features numerous dormers and projections, general gable roofed with wooden shingles. Windows are typically multipane casement windows, and rafter ends are exposed under eaves. The house was designed by Westport architect Charles E. Cutler and completed in 1923. It is an excellent local example of Tudor Revival architecture.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

Cranbury Park is the largest public park in Norwalk, Connecticut. It is located in northern Norwalk, on the former Gallaher Estate, a 227-acre (92 ha) country estate developed in the 1920s by Edward Beach Gallaher, an important figure in the early American automobile industry. The park's amenities include miles of walking trails, a picnic pavilion, a disc golf course, and the Carriage House Arts Center, located in the estate's former carriage house. The park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

Cranbury is a neighborhood or section in the northeast corner of the city of Norwalk in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. The Save Cranbury Association, a local community group, describes itself as an "association of citizens dedicated to the preservation of the historical, rural quality of Cranbury area of Norwalk".

The Barn at Kings Highway (informally known as The Barn) is a historic landmark in the town of Westport, Connecticut. It is located at 57 Kings Highway North on privately owned land. Opened in the early 1900s by Ann Sheffer and her family, The Barn has served as a meeting place and social hub for Westporters of all generations. It is a contributing property of the Kings Highway North Historic District which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998. Its early years featured its use as a place for luxurious parties thrown by the aristocrat members of Westport's population.

The Bradley–Wheeler House, also known as the Charles B. Wheeler House, is a historic house museum located at 25 Avery Place in Westport, Connecticut. Built about 1795 and restyled in the Italianate mode about 1867, it is one of the oldest surviving houses in Westport center. It was home to a procession of prominent local businessmen in the 19th century, and also includes a distinctive cobblestone barn that is the only known example of its type in the state. On July 5, 1984, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
