Old Hill is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Westport, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It is in the western part of the town and is bordered to the west by the city of Norwalk. Old Hill was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

The Barn at Kings Highway (informally known as The Barn) is a historic landmark in the town of Westport, Connecticut. It is located at 57 Kings Highway North on privately owned land. Opened in the early 1900s by Ann Sheffer and her family, The Barn has served as a meeting place and social hub for Westporters of all generations. It is a contributing property of the Kings Highway North Historic District which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998. Its early years featured its use as a place for luxurious parties thrown by the aristocrat members of Westport's population.

The Shambaugh House is a historic house at 12 Old Hill Road in Westport, Connecticut. It is a two-story structure, built out of random coursed fieldstone, with gable-roofed pavilions projecting from its hipped roof. An attached garage, now converted to residential use, is built of similar materials. The house features numerous dormers and projections, general gable roofed with wooden shingles. Windows are typically multipane casement windows, and rafter ends are exposed under eaves. The house was designed by Westport architect Charles E. Cutler and completed in 1923. It is an excellent local example of Tudor Revival architecture.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

Cranbury is a neighborhood or section in the northeast corner of the city of Norwalk in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. The Save Cranbury Association, a local community group, describes itself as an "association of citizens dedicated to the preservation of the historical, rural quality of Cranbury area of Norwalk".

The Kings Highway North Historic District is a predominantly residential 58-acre (23 ha) historic district in Westport, Connecticut. Located on the hillside west of the Saugatuck River, this area encapsulates architecturally several major stages in the community's development, from colonial days to the 20th century. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

The National Hall Historic District is a 3-acre (1.2 ha) historic district in Westport, Connecticut that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The district encompasses a historic commercial center of the town, located on the west bank of the Saugatuck River where the Boston Post Road crosses the river. It includes eleven historic structures, most of which historically had some sort of commercial function. There are a few residences, and one civic structure, the wood-frame Vigilante Fire House on Wilton Road. The centerpiece of the district is the large National Hall building, an 1873 three-story Italianate structure that visually dominates the junction of the Post Road with Wilton Road and Reservoir Road. The area's first period of development was in the early 19th century, a period from which five buildings survive.

WSHU (1260 AM), is an NPR member radio station licensed to Westport, Connecticut. It is owned and operated by Sacred Heart University. By day, WSHU is powered at 1,000 watts using a directional antenna. However, at night, to avoid interference with other stations on 1260 AM, it reduces power to nine watts. Programming is also heard on 150-watt FM translator W276DY at 103.1 MHz in Westport.WSHU primarily features news, talk and informational programming from National Public Radio with local news updates throughout the day. It holds periodic fundraisers on the air to support the running of the station. AM 1260 is one of the WSHU news and talk frequencies, which also includes the HD2 digital subchannel of WSHU-FM (91.1 FM) Fairfield, Connecticut, WSTC (1400 AM) Stamford, Connecticut, WSUF (89.9 FM) Greenport, New York and WYBC (1340 AM) New Haven, Connecticut.

The Bradley–Wheeler House, also known as the Charles B. Wheeler House, is a historic house museum located at 25 Avery Place in Westport, Connecticut. Built about 1795 and restyled in the Italianate mode about 1867, it is one of the oldest surviving houses in Westport center. It was home to a procession of prominent local businessmen in the 19th century, and also includes a distinctive cobblestone barn that is the only known example of its type in the state. On July 5, 1984, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The Westport Library is a public library in the town of Westport, Connecticut, established on February 4, 1886, by members of the Westport Reading-Room and Library Association.: 132 Morris Ketchum Jesup, born in 1830 to a country doctor,: 73  amassed a fortune in the railroad business and became the benefactor of the library, donating the land and $5,000 for the building.: 157  In April 1908, the Westport Public Library was completed at a cost of $75,000 and dedicated to the custody of the Westport Library Association by Jesup's wife, following the wishes of her husband who died four months earlier.: 157 In June 1984, plans were announced to build a new library on a site adjacent to Jesup Green on the Saugatuck River.: 308  Considerable discussion took place about how to raise the money for the new library and the proposed site, a former landfill. After a referendum was approved, the new library was built for $4.6 million and opened on Labor Day of 1986.As popularity of the library increased, another renovation and expansion was completed in 1998.: 324  The improvements included an innovative project called the "River of Names," a wall of small handmade tiles, paid for individually by donors, depicting local history.: 324 By the year 2000, the library was the second busiest in the state in terms of circulation per capita, averaging 1,200 visitors a day.: 7 Embracing a trend in expanding the role of libraries, the library opened a makerspace in 2012, a structure with 3D printers and other tools for people to create inventions and learn about new technology. The name of the library was changed to The Westport Library.In 2013, the library received a $246,545 grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the enhancement of the makerspace. In 2014, the library became the first library in the nation to use humanoid robots for the purpose of teaching computer programming.On September 2017, ground was broken on a renovation project for the library, dubbed the "Transformation Project." The renovation lasted two years, and the library was reopened on June 23, 2019.As a "forum for civic engagement and an incubator of new ideas," the Library provides many books and resources geared to fundraising, social entrepreneurship, and non-profit organizations. An example of a book about social entrepreneurship is the memoir, "Start Something that Matters" by Blake Mycoskie, the founder of the global footwear giant, Toms Shoes. The Library has the distinction of being a Funding Information Network partner of the Foundation Center, the nation's leading authority on organized philanthropy. A Grants Center section provides additional guides and manuals for becoming effective fundraisers for causes of all types and sizes.

The Westport Bank and Trust Company is a historic commercial building at 87 Post Road East in Westport, Connecticut. It is a two-story Classical Revival brick building, designed by local architect Charles E. Cutler and built in 1924. The bank was founded in 1852 by Horace Staples, a prominent local businessman, and was a longtime fixture in the local economy. The building is notable for its architecture, and for a series of murals in its lobby, commissioned in the 1960s and executed by Robert L. Lambdin, an artist best known for his Depression-era work funded by the Works Progress Administration.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 6, 2006.

The Old Town Hall is a historic former municipal building at 90 Post Road East in Westport, Connecticut. Built in 1908 as the town's first purpose-built municipal office building, it is unusual architecturally for using cobblestones within a design that is, overall, Classical Revival in style. In 1979 Westport moved its municipal offices to a rehabilitated grade school building at 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, CT 06880.The building is currently occupied by Don Memo, a Mexican restaurant.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
