Loxahatchee, Florida

The Acreage is an unincorporated community located in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States, with a 2010 US Census Bureau population count of 38,704. It is located in the areas north of Royal Palm Beach and Loxahatchee Groves, and is approximately 18 miles (29 km) northwest of West Palm Beach. Most of the population lives in single-family homes on 1.14 acres (4,600 m2) and larger lots. It straddles the western fringes of the highly developed eastern portion of Palm Beach County and the agricultural-rural western portions. Its large, spacious home site lots, dirt roads and many wooded areas give the area a rural character, although it is widely considered to be an exurban outgrowth of the South Florida Metropolitan Area. The Acreage is located solely within the Indian Trail Improvement District, responsible for maintaining the road and drainage systems within its boundaries.

Royal Palm Beach Pines Natural Area is a 773-acre area of protected land in Royal Palm Beach, Florida that includes pine flatwoods and wet prairie. There are hiking and equestrian trails, a nature trail, and boardwalk. The park is located at 110 Nature's Way or the northern entrance on 40th Street and Avocado Boulevard.

The Riddle House is an old Edwardian house located in Palm Beach County, Florida. The house was built in West Palm Beach, Florida in 1905 by some of Henry Flagler's hotel construction workers. Originally known as "Gatekeeper's Cottage", the house was home to the groundskeeper of Woodlawn Cemetery. By 1920, the house became privately owned by Karl Riddle, a city manager and superintendent of West Palm Beach. He is the namesake of the house. The house was eventually dismantled and moved to Yesteryear Village in 1995, a historical park within the South Florida Fairgrounds. The building was featured in an episode of Ghost Adventures in 2008.

Royal Palm Beach is a village in southeast Florida, located within Palm Beach County. The population was measured at 34,140 in the 2010 census. It is part of the Miami Metropolitan Area. Despite its name, the village is located approximately fifteen miles inland from the Atlantic Ocean. Royal Palm Beach is known for its many parks and general mission to protect green space, as evidenced by the recent acquisition of 190 acres (0.77 km2) to create a master central park and the development of 25 acres (100,000 m2) preserved into a passive bird watching and nature park. Westlake is a city and the 39th municipality in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. It is part of the Miami metropolitan area of South Florida. The population was 906 at the 2020 US Census.

Berean Christian School is a private school in West Palm Beach, Florida. Berean Christian School is a ministry of Grace Fellowship, a local independent church. It was established in 1964. Berean Christian School also offers numerous sports such as volleyball, swimming, cross-country, track, soccer, girls basketball, boys basketball, cheerleading, and most of all football. Loxahatchee Groves is a town in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. As of the 2010 census, the town had a population of 3,180. Loxahatchee Groves was incorporated November 1, 2006, as the 38th municipality in Palm Beach County. The first election for town council members was held on March 13, 2007. The area had been settled since 1917, although Loxahatchee Groves did not become a municipality until 2006. The town bills itself as "Florida's Last Frontier". Loxahatchee Groves was incorporated primarily in order to protect the area from the encroaching urbanization of South Florida, as nearby cities continued to develop and to preserve the area's rural character. The town derives its name from the Loxahatchee River. "Loxahatchee" is from the Seminole words lowchow (turtle) and hatchee (river), thus translating to "river of turtles". Loxahatchee Groves is bounded on the east by Royal Palm Beach, on the south by Wellington, and on the west and the north by The Acreage and Loxahatchee. It has an area of approximately 12.5 square miles (32.4 km2).

The Expo Center at the South Florida Fairgrounds (also known as the South Florida Fair), formerly the Americraft Expo Center, is a 5,000-seat multi-purpose venue in West Palm Beach, Florida, located at 9067 Southern Boulevard, within a few miles of Royal Palm Beach, Wellington and Loxahatchee. With over 150,000 square feet (14,000 m2), it hosts public and consumer oriented events and shows, as well as special functions, including the South Florida Fair, many craft shows, and meetings. It has also hosted several WWE house shows. It was originally built in 1990 as a 70,000-square-foot (6,500 m2) facility and was expanded to its current size in 2002. 650,000 people attend various events at the Expo Center on an annual basis. Besides the 150,000 ft (46,000 m). Expo east an Expo West buildings, there are 10 other smaller exhibit buildings that range in size from 3,625 to 11,490 square feet (1,067 m2), along with the Perfect Vodka Amphitheater, the Agriplex, and Yesteryear Village. These events constitute 250 event days.

Lion Country Safari is a drive-through safari park and walk-through amusement park located on over 600 acres in Loxahatchee (near West Palm Beach), in Palm Beach County, Florida. Founded in 1967, it claims to be the first 'cageless zoo' in the United States. In 2009, USA Travel Guide ranked Lion Country as the 3rd best zoo in the nation.
