Montalvo Beach

Portonovo is a fishing village and tourist center within the municipality of Sanxenxo. It belongs to the parish of Adina. Situated in the Ria de Pontevedra, its climate is cold and rainy in winter and warm and sunny in summer. Tourism is the main economic engine of the town, and the temporary population in the summer months increases considerably. Three beaches are found along the coast for the town: Portonovo Beach (also known as Baltar Beach), Caneliñas and Canelas. Portonovo also thrives economically on the nightlife in the summer and holiday periods. The village has many local pubs, cafés and nightclubs.

It gave spectators a chance to see the race boats at close quarters. The 2013 edition of the Tour of Spain was held in the Rias Baixas, Galicia (Spain), between August 24 to September 14. Sanxenxo was the goal in the first stage of La Vuelta 2013 that began in Vilanova de Arousa in a Batea, a wooden platform out in the water used for farming of mussels, oysters and scallops.

The Island of A Toxa, La Toxa Grande, the Island of Louxo or the Island of the Baths of Louxo (in Galician Illa da Toxa) is a Spanish island belonging to the province of Pontevedra, in Galicia. The island is located east of the small town of O Grove, to which it is connected by an 18th-century bridge · It has a small urban centre called Isla de la Toja, belonging to the civil parish of San Martín, which had 42 inhabitants in 2018. It has an area of 110 hectares and is located about 30 km from Pontevedra.

The Bottlenose Dolphin Research Institute (BDRI) is a research and educational centre dedicated to the understanding and conservation of cetaceans and the marine environment in which they live. The Institute's BDRI center was founded by the biologist Bruno Díaz López in Sardinia, Italy in 2005. In 2014, the BDRI opened a new facility in Galicia, Spain. BDRI concentrates its efforts on research into dolphins because as predators, they can serve as indicators of the ecosystem’s health. The BDRI researches ways to alleviate threats to dolphins such as marine pollution, over-fishing, entanglement in nets, and whaling.

It is located on the northern edge of the Morrazo peninsula. Isla de Ons and its small archipelago, part of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia National Park, belong administratively to Bueu.
