Bagnaria Arsa

Palmanova (Friulian: Palme) is a town and comune (municipality) in the Regional decentralization entity of Udine in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, northeast Italy. The town is an example of a star fort of the late Renaissance, built up by the Venetian Republic in 1593. The fortifications were included in UNESCO's World Heritage Site list as part of Venetian Works of Defence between the 16th and 17th centuries: Stato da Terra – western Stato da Mar in 2017. Palmanova is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful villages of Italy").

The Gonars concentration camp was one of the several Italian concentration camps and it was established on February 23, 1942, near Gonars, Italy. Many prisoners were transferred to this camp from another Italian concentration camp, the Rab concentration camp, which served as equivalent of the final solution in Mario Roatta's ethnic cleansing policy against ethnic Slovenes from the Italian-annexed Province of Ljubljana and Croats from Gorski Kotar, in accord with the racist 1920s speech by Benito Mussolini, along with other Italian war crimes committed on the Italian-annexed territories of Yugoslavia: When dealing with such a race as Slavic – inferior and barbarian – we must not pursue the carrot, but the stick policy.... We should not be afraid of new victims.... The Italian border should run across the Brenner Pass, Monte Nevoso and the Dinaric Alps.... I would say we can easily sacrifice 500,000 barbaric Slavs for 50,000 Italians.... The first transport of 5,343 prisoners (1,643 of whom were children) arrived two days after its establishment, on February 23, 1942, from the Province of Ljubljana and from two other Italian concentration camps, the Rab camp and the camp at Monigo (near Treviso). The camp was disbanded on September 8, 1943, immediately after the Italian armistice. Only in 1973 was a memorial created by the sculptor Miodrag Živković at the town's cemetery. The remains of 453 Slovenian and Croatian victims were transferred into its two underground crypts. It is believed that at least 50 additional persons died in the camp due to starvation and torture. At least 93 children were killed at the camp, including those that had been transferred from the Rab concentration camp to Gonars.

Torviscosa (Friulian: Tor di Zuin, locally Il Tor) is a comune (municipality) in the Regional decentralization entity of Udine in the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 45 kilometres (28 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) south of Udine. The municipality of Torviscosa contains the frazione (borough) of Malisana. Torviscosa borders the following municipalities: Bagnaria Arsa, Cervignano del Friuli, Gonars, Grado, Porpetto, San Giorgio di Nogaro, Terzo d'Aquileia.

Visco (Friulian: Visc) is a comune (municipality) in the Regional decentralization entity of Udine in the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, located about 45 kilometres (28 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) southeast of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 723 and an area of 3.5 square kilometres (1.4 sq mi).Visco borders the following municipalities: Aiello del Friuli, Bagnaria Arsa, Palmanova, San Vito al Torre.

Porpetto (Friulian: Porpêt) is a comune (municipality) in the Regional decentralization entity of Udine in the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, located about 50 kilometres (31 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) south of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,717 and an area of 19.7 square kilometres (7.6 sq mi).The municipality of Porpetto contains the frazioni (boroughs) of Castello, Corgnolo, Foredana and Pampaluna. The river Corno crosses the city. Porpetto borders the following municipalities: Castions di Strada, Gonars, San Giorgio di Nogaro, Torviscosa.

Cervignano-Aquileia-Grado (Italian: Stazione di Cervignano-Aquileia-Grado) is a railway station serving the town of Cervignano del Friuli, in the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, northern Italy. The station opened on 11 June 1894 and is located on the Venice–Trieste railway and Udine-Cervignano railway. The train services are operated by Trenitalia.

Joannis is the birthplace of Enzo Bearzot, former Italian football player and manager, who won the 1982 FIFA World Cup as coach.

San Giorgio di Nogaro (Italian: Stazione di San Giorgio di Nogaro) is a railway station serving the town of San Giorgio di Nogaro, in the region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, northern Italy. The station is located on the Venice–Trieste railway. The train services are operated by Trenitalia.

Chiasiellis (Friulian: Cjasielis, German: Katzelsdorf), sometimes Chiasiellis di Mortegliano (Cjasielis di Mortean) or Chiasellis, is a hamlet in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of north east Italy. It is a frazioni of the comune of Mortegliano in the Province of Udine. It lies to the east of the main village of Mortegliano and has around 500 inhabitants. The name of the village comes from a Friulian word meaning "boxes" which described the small houses of local farmers and shepherds. It was first mentioned around AD 1100 as a possession of the nuns of St. Mary of Aquileia. A notable landmark of the village is the Chiesa Santa Maria Annunziata and the Golf Club Friuli is located south of the village on the via Morsano. The hamlet is home to the women's Chiasiellis Calcio football club, a team that made it to the Serie A finals in 2008. The team also participates in Italian championship beach soccer and, in 2007, won the national title.

San Giorgio di Nogaro (Friulian: Sant Zorç di Noiâr, locally San Zorz) is a comune (municipality) in the Regional decentralization entity of Udine in the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, located about 50 kilometres (31 miles) northwest of Trieste and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) south of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 7,417 and an area of 25.8 square kilometres (10.0 sq mi).The municipality of San Giorgio di Nogaro contains the frazioni (boroughs) Chiarisacco, Galli, Porto Nogaro, Villanova, Zellina, and Zuccola. San Giorgio di Nogaro borders the following municipalities: Carlino, Castions di Strada, Grado, Marano Lagunare, Porpetto, Torviscosa.
