Brighton Secondary School

The North Brighton Cemetery, operated by the City of Holdfast Bay in Somerton Park had its first burial in 1859.

North Brighton is a suburb of Adelaide in South Australia. The northern reaches of the suburb are occupied by Brighton Secondary School and the campus of Minda Inc, a large disability support organisation. To the south, the suburb is bounded by the Townsend Park Retirement Village and Marymount College. Other points of interest are a small shopping centre on the corner of Holder and Brighton Roads, and North Brighton Beach.

Minda Incorporated, established in 1898, provides support to children and adults with disability in Adelaide, South Australia and is the largest non-Government disability support organisation in the state.The not-for-profit organisation offers support and opportunity to approximately 1,750 South Australians with disability in the areas of accommodation (at its Brighton site and in the community), supported employment, lifestyle services and respite. It is Minda's vision for people with disability to live enriched lives of their choosing, and purpose and mission to be a progressive organisation of choice for people with disability, supporting on their journey toward enriched lives with greater community participation and contribution. Minda has office locations in the beachside suburb of Brighton, in Elizabeth, Modbury and Mount Gambier. The organisation was originally formed to provide support and lodging for children with intellectual disabilities.

Hove is a coastal suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. It is situated north of Brighton, west of Warradale, and south of North Brighton. Running along the west of the suburb is the Esplanade, a street with numerous townhouses with views of the Gulf St Vincent. The suburb is bisected by its major thoroughfare, Brighton Road. Property prices are generally higher on the coastal side of Brighton Road.

Sacred Heart College (SHC), Marymount Campus is a Catholic school in the Marist tradition. Currently Marymount Campus is a girls' middle school for Yrs 6–9. From 2019, SHC will consist of Champagnat Campus, co-educational for Yrs 7–9 at Mitchell Park and a Senior School Campus, co-educational for Yrs 10–12 at Somerton Park. Founded by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan, Marymount belongs to a group of three educational facilities, known as the Tri-School partnership. This group also consists of Sacred Heart College Senior and Sacred Heart College Middle School. Most of the students that pass through either of the middle schools continue on to the senior school, located nearby Marymount, in Somerton Park. The school has four houses: Adamson, McEwen, McLaughlin and Polding.

Sacred Heart College is an independent Catholic secondary school, located in the Adelaide beachside suburb of Somerton Park, South Australia and in the suburb of Mitchell Park, in South Australia, Australia. Focused on teaching in the Marist Brothers tradition, the school enrols students from Years 10 to 12.Sacred Heart is known for its Australian rules football teams, cultivating thorough athletes since its establishment. It has an annual Intercollegiate match against its cross-town rival, Rostrevor College, which is a notable event in the South Australian Catholic Schools sports calendar.The school also has an annual exchange with Assumption College in Kilmore, Victoria, which entails music and performing arts performances, debating, social and several sporting competitions.
