Property prices are generally higher on the coastal side of Brighton Road.

Warradale is a suburb of Adelaide in the City of Marion. The name Warradale derives from Warripari, an Aboriginal (Kaurna) word for windy place by the (Sturt) River. The suburb is located in the south western part of Adelaide, approximately 12 kilometres from the CBD, and is serviced by the Seaford-Tonsley train line and several main roads.

Sacred Heart College (SHC), Marymount Campus is a Catholic school in the Marist tradition. Currently Marymount Campus is a girls' middle school for Yrs 6–9. From 2019, SHC will consist of Champagnat Campus, co-educational for Yrs 7–9 at Mitchell Park and a Senior School Campus, co-educational for Yrs 10–12 at Somerton Park. Founded by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan, Marymount belongs to a group of three educational facilities, known as the Tri-School partnership. This group also consists of Sacred Heart College Senior and Sacred Heart College Middle School. Most of the students that pass through either of the middle schools continue on to the senior school, located nearby Marymount, in Somerton Park. The school has four houses: Adamson, McEwen, McLaughlin and Polding.

North Brighton is a suburb of Adelaide in South Australia. The northern reaches of the suburb are occupied by Brighton Secondary School and the campus of Minda Inc, a large disability support organisation. To the south, the suburb is bounded by the Townsend Park Retirement Village and Marymount College. Other points of interest are a small shopping centre on the corner of Holder and Brighton Roads, and North Brighton Beach.

Oaklands railway station is located on the Seaford railway line in Adelaide, South Australia. It is in the south-western suburb of Oaklands Park, 13 kilometres from Adelaide station.

The South Australia Aquatic and Leisure Centre (SAALC), also known as the State Aquatic Centre, is a swimming venue located in the Adelaide suburb of Oaklands Park in South Australia. The centre is managed by the YMCA on behalf of the Government of South Australia. In April 2011 South Australian Premier Mike Rann opened the Centre, the most advanced swimming and diving facilities in Australia, in Marion. He was joined at the opening by Marion Mayor Felicity-Ann Lewis. Lewis and Rann had championed the project for some years to enable Olympic standard aquatic sports to occur in South Australia.The A$100 million centre was designed by Peddle Thorp Architects and constructed by Candetti Constructions. Built between October 2009 and April 2011, the centre was officially open on 26 April 2011 after the 2011 Australian Age Championships were held from 18 to 23 April.On 1 July 2012, the Marion Swimming Club became the resident swimming club of the centre.In the past the centre has hosted the 2012 and the 2013 Australian Swimming Championships. Located at the end of Westfield Marion. More recently, the 2016 Australian Olympic Trials and 2016 Swimming Australia National Age Championships were hosted at the centre alongside National Water Polo League games and the 2016 Diving SA Olympic Simulation event. In 2017, a joint announcement was made between The South Australian Government and Swimming Australia that the SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre will host the 2019 National Swimming Championships and the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Trials. The centre is managed by Adam Luscombe.

Brighton Secondary School (formerly Brighton High School) is in North Brighton, a beach suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. The school provides secondary education from year 8 to 12, with special interest programs in music, volleyball, 'Think Bright', and STEM. Program entry into music and volleyball are competitive with the requirement of auditions or try outs. Entry into Think Bright and STEM are via written application, workshop and a conversation with staff. The school is involved in the F1 in Schools, an engineering initiative from the United Kingdom. The program is designed to educate students in engineering pathways, and the school has had teams in the national competition for the last three years.

The North Brighton Cemetery, operated by the City of Holdfast Bay in Somerton Park had its first burial in 1859.
