The Southside Flyers are a professional women's basketball team competing in the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL). The club is based in Dandenong, Melbourne, Victoria. The team was founded as the Dandenong Rangers, however before the 2019–20 WNBL season began the team was rebranded to the Southside Flyers, adopting a new logo, colour scheme and nickname. The team also transitioned owners at this time. Historically, they have been one of the more successful franchises in league history, regularly making the playoffs, but have struggled over the past two years to make the grand final, falling short in the preliminary final stage. They are strong rivals with the cross-town Melbourne Boomers. The franchise has been home to notable players such as Lauren Jackson, Penny Taylor, Jessica Bibby, Emily McInerny, Jacinta Hamilton, Jenna O'Hea, Kathleen MacLeod and Liz Cambage.

The Churchill National Park is a national park located in the Greater Melbourne region of Victoria, Australia. The 271-hectare (670-acre) national park is situated 31 kilometres (19 mi) southeast of Melbourne adjacent to the suburb of Lysterfield South, which lies between Rowville and Endeavour Hills in the far north of the City of Casey. The national park is near the Monash Freeway and Stud Road. When combined with the adjacent Lysterfield Park, the two parks comprise 1,668 hectares (4,120 acres) in the Dandenong Valley and the Dandenong Ranges that are a haven for native birds, mammals and reptiles, and provide recreational opportunities.Established on 12 February 1941 as the Dandenong National Park, the park was renamed in 1944 in honour of Sir Winston Churchill.Churchill National Park is about one and a half hours from Melbourne, Victoria.

It houses the Rowville branch of the Eastern Regional Library, and is adjacent to the Rowville Community Centre under the Clock Tower. The Stringybark Festival is held at the centre every third weekend of October each year and attracts over 25,000 visitors. The event is organised by the Knox Council, and is one of Australia's longest running sustainability event. There are three golf courses within Rowville. Stud Park is currently getting an expansion. Rowville is at the intersection of many local government areas with the suburb connecting to suburbs within the Shire of Yarra Ranges, City of Monash, City of Greater Dandenong, City of Casey and City of Knox.
