Shitan station

Guangzhou Baiyun railway station (Chinese: 广州白云站; pinyin: Guǎngzhōu Báiyún zhàn) is a railway station in Baiyun District, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. It opened on 26 December 2023, and serves as a major transport hub in Guangzhou.A spur from the Beijing–Guangzhou high-speed railway will connect to this station. It will also be the terminus of the planned Guangzhou–Zhanjiang high-speed railway.: 12 

Xiaoping Station (Chinese: 小坪站; Jyutping: siu2 ping4 zaam6) is a railway station of Guangzhou Metro Line 8, located at Shicha Road, Baiyun District, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. The station opened on November 26, 2020 with the opening of the northern extension of Line 8.The station has an underground island platform. Platform 1 is for trains towards Jiaoxin, whilst platform 2 is for trains towards Wanshengwei. There are 2 exits, lettered B and G. Exit B is accessible. Both exits are located on Shicha Road.

Shijing Subdistrict (Chinese: 石井街道; pinyin: Shíjǐng Jiēdào; Jyutping: sek6zeng2 gaai1dou6) is a subdistrict of Baiyun District, Guangzhou, People's Republic of China. It has a total population of 150,000, 84,000 of whom are long-term residents, residing in an area of 39.28 km2 (15.17 sq mi).

Tongde Subdistrict (Chinese: 同德街道; pinyin: Tóngdé Jiēdào; Jyutping: tung4 dak1 gaai1 dou6) is a subdistrict of Baiyun District, Guangzhou, People's Republic of China. As of 2020, it has 20 residential communities (社区) under its administration.

Xinshi Subdistrict (Chinese: 新市街道; pinyin: Xīnshì Jiēdào; lit. 'new city') is a subdistrict of Baiyun District, Guangzhou, located immediately to the west of the former Baiyun Airport. As of 2011, it has 19 residential communities (社区) under its administration.

Dazhou Station (Chinese: 大洲站; pinyin: Dàzhōu Zhàn; Jyutping: daai6zau1 zaam6) is a station of Guangzhou Metro Line 7, located underground within Dazhou Village on Dazhou Road, Shibi Subdistrict, Panyu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China. The station was opened on 1 May 2022, with the opening of the western extension of Line 7. This is the last station on the line westbound before it enters Foshan's Shunde District.

The station opened on November 26, 2020, with the opening of the northern extension of Line 8.The station has an underground island platform. Platform 1 is for trains towards Jiaoxin, whilst platform 2 is for trains towards Wanshengwei. There are 4 exits, lettered A, B, C and D. Exit B is accessible. Exit A is located on Shijing Avenue, whilst exits B, C and D are located on Shisha Road.

Ezhangtan Station (simplified Chinese: 鹅掌坦站; traditional Chinese: 鵝掌坦站; pinyin: Ézhǎngtǎn Zhàn; Jyutping: ngo4 zoeng2 taan2 zaam6) is a station of Guangzhou Metro Line 8, located underground on the north-eastern side of Ezhangtan Street, Xicha Road, Tongde Subdistrict, Baiyun District, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China. The station was opened on November 26, 2020 with the opening of the northern extension of Guangzhou Metro Line 8.The station has an underground island platform. Platform 1 is for trains towards Jiaoxin, whilst platform 2 is for trains towards Wanshengwei. There are 3 exits, lettered A, C and D. Exits A and C are accessible. All exits are located on Xicha Road.

On 2 October 1990, a hijacked Boeing 737, operating Xiamen Airlines Flight 8301, collided with two other aircraft on the runways of the old Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport while attempting to land. The hijacked aircraft struck parked China Southwest Airlines Flight 4305 first, inflicting only minor damage, but then collided with China Southern Airlines Flight 3523, a Boeing 757 waiting to take off, flipping onto its back. A total of 128 people were killed, including seven of nine crew members and 75 of 93 passengers on Flight 8301 and 46 of 110 passengers on Flight 3523.

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (IATA: CAN, ICAO: ZGGG), formerly known as Canton Civil Airport or Pai Yuen Airport was the main airport in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China until 5 August 2004, when it was replaced by a new airport of the same title, 23 kilometres (14 mi) to the north.

CAAC Flight 2311 or China Northwest Airlines Flight 2311 was a scheduled passenger flight from Changsha Datuopu Airport, in Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province, China, to the former Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. On 24 December 1982 it was flown by an Ilyushin Il-18B (registered in China as B-202). After landing at Baiyun Airport, a fire in the cabin produced toxic smoke whereupon the crew stopped the aircraft on the runway and evacuated the passengers. The fast-developing fire killed 25 passengers and seriously injured 22 passengers and 4 crew members. The fire, which was started by a passenger's cigarette, destroyed the aircraft.

Feixiang Park Station (simplified Chinese: 飞翔公园站; traditional Chinese: 飛翔公園站; Jyutping: fei1 coeng4 gung1 jyun2 zaam6; Cantonese Yale: Fēichèuhng Gūng'yún Jaahm), known as Yuanjing Station and later Yuncheng Station during planning, is a metro station on Line 2 of the Guangzhou Metro. It is located under the west side of Yuncheng East Road, the east side of Yuncheng West Road and the south side of the former Baiyun International Airport, in the Baiyun District of Guangzhou. It started operation on 25 September 2010.
