Gorla Minore

Marnate is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Varese in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 30 km northwest of Milan and about 20 km south of Varese. As of 31 December 2018, it had a population of 7,936 and an area of 4.8 km².The municipality of Marnate contains the frazione (subdivision) Nizzolina. Marnate borders the following municipalities: Castellanza, Gorla Minore, Olgiate Olona, Rescaldina. One of the main place in Marnate is called Marnate's Bunker which is a military monument of II World War.

Marnate's Bunker is a military monument of World War II, with the purpose of being used as an industrial bunker. It is located in Valle Olona (Varese), Italy, between the boundaries of Marnate, Olgiate Olona and Gorla Minore. Built by the Germans between July and September 1944, Marnate's Bunker was conquered by the Italian resistance movement on April 26, 1945 after a harsh fight against the German garrison. During the fight, five Germans were killed, while from Garibaldini only an Italian named Carlo Moltrasio from Fagnano Olona died, and two more were slightly injured. After the surrender of the Germans, the partisans inspected the bunker, finding it completely empty, except for a powerful bomb intended to destroy it.

TWA Flight 891 was a Lockheed L-1649A Starliner that crashed not long after taking off from Milan Malpensa Airport on 26 June 1959. All 68 passengers and crew on board were killed.

It was founded by the Italian nobleman Giovanni Andrea Terzaghi in 1599 and is the oldest recorded charter school in Italy.The college was the first school in Italy to have a vertical curriculum. It has a nursery, a primary school, a secondary school, and two high schools. It includes a Museum of Natural Sciences, a Study Library, and the "Lina Airoldi Historical Library".

Gorla Maggiore is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Varese in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) northwest of Milan and about 15 kilometres (9 mi) southeast of Varese. As of 31 December 2004, it has a population of 4,942 and an area of 5.3 square kilometres (2.0 sq mi).Gorla Maggiore borders the following municipalities: Carbonate, Fagnano Olona, Gorla Minore, Locate Varesino, Mozzate, Solbiate Olona. Since the 1 June 2015 the mayor of the city is Pietro Zappamiglio.

Busto Arsizio is a railway station in Italy. Located on the common section of the lines Domodossola–Milan, Luino–Milan and Porto Ceresio–Milan, it serves the city of Busto Arsizio. It is joined by a junction track to the Busto Arsizio Nord railway station, managed by Ferrovienord.
