Columbus Africentric Early College

East Columbus (East Side) is a very large area in Columbus, Ohio. It can be defined as the area bounded by Interstate 70, Interstate 670, and the eastern city limits that stretch miles outside the city outerbelt (Interstate 270). Generally, the East Side is separate from the Near East Side (Near East Side, Columbus, Ohio), with the Near East Side being the area closer to Downtown Columbus.

The Kahiki Supper Club was a Polynesian-themed restaurant in Columbus, Ohio. The supper club was one of the largest tiki-themed restaurants in the United States, and for a time, the only one in Ohio. It operated at its Eastmoor location on Broad Street beginning in 1961, at the height of tiki culture's popularity. The Kahiki was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997, but closed and was demolished in 2000. It was described as an exceptionally important example of a themed restaurant and the most elaborate tiki restaurant ever built. After the restaurant's closure in 2000, portions of the interior and service ware were salvaged. A social organization known as the Fraternal Order of Moai was formed in 2005, in part to record the restaurant's history and preserve its artifacts. An offshoot of the operation, Kahiki Foods, manufactures frozen meals, and is based in the nearby suburb of Gahanna.

Agudas Achim is a Conservative synagogue located in Bexley, Ohio, in the United States. It was established in Columbus in 1881, and by 1897 was no longer the only Orthodox synagogue in the city. Presently, Agudas shares Broad Street with three other synagogues - Ahavat Shalom, Temple Israel, and Tifereth Israel.

Eastmoor Academy is a public high school located on the east side of Columbus, Ohio. It is part of Columbus City Schools. Eastmoor Academy was formerly known as Eastmoor High School. The school's colors are red, white and blue, and its mascot is a warrior. Eastmoor is the high school alma mater of two-time Heisman Trophy winner Archie Griffin, after whom their football stadium is now named; it is also the alma mater of former Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Artimus Pyle (class of 1966), and jazz musician Michael Feinstein. Gary Ballen aka today as the Human Jukebox" was a 1970 graduate of EHS. Gary has lived an exceptional life in the music entertainment industry including touring with many well-known performers, including Straight Outta Compton Gansta Rap group, "NWA". Robert "Tico Bob" Street (Class of 1969), became a Columbus radio personality in the 1970s now residing in Arizona, Robert is a successful transportation business executive and founder of the Robert Street Band, performing throughout the Southwestern United States. Internationally published and cited author David M Baker, GG was a 1971 graduate of Eastmoor High School. Another Eastmoor High School alumni was birding artist Charles "Buddy" Gambill (1968). Detroit Lyons Linebacker, Paul Naumoff is a graduate (1964), as was Doug Van Horn, Offensive Lineman for the Detroit Lyons and later the New York Giants. Ronald G. Shafer, a member of the first graduating class in 1957, was a reporter and Washington political features editor at the Wall Street Journal over a 38-year-career. Shafer still writes for the Washington Post. In the 1960s, frequent performers at Eastmoor included Mexican virtuoso solo trumpeter, Rafael Méndez, and the incomparable American Jazz trumpeter, Doc Severinsen. During the eighties, the school was a frequent stop for high-profile speakers in the civil rights movement such as Coretta Scott King. The movie Speak starring Kristen Stewart was filmed at Eastmoor in 2003. In 2008, the Eastmoor football team went 13–2, eventually losing in the Division 3 State Championship Game to the Aurora Greenmen, 21–10.

The Defense Electronics Supply Center, Columbus (DSCC), is one of three Inventory Control Points of the Defense Logistics Agency. The major organization on base is known as DLA Land and Maritime. Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) is also a major tenant on base. The base has been affected several times by the United States Base Realignment and Closure program. It is located in the Columbus, Ohio suburb of Whitehall. The DSCC has a historical marker. The base was opened in 1918.

Aircraft bridges, including taxiway bridges and runway bridges, bring aircraft traffic over motorways, railways, and waterways.

The Ohio Governor's Residence and Heritage Garden is the official residence of the governor of Ohio. The residence was built during 1923–1925 by industrialist Malcolm D. Jeffrey and has served as the official home of the governor since 1957. The mansion is located at 358 North Parkview Avenue in Bexley, a suburb and enclave of the state capital, Columbus. It is only one of four official state governor's residences in the country that is not located within its state's capital (the others being Drumthwacket, located in Princeton, New Jersey, instead of Trenton; the Wisconsin Governor's Mansion, located in Maple Bluff, instead of Madison; and the Tennessee Governor's Mansion, located in Oak Hill instead of Nashville, Tennessee).

Columbus School for Girls (CSG) is a private, all-girls college-preparatory day school located in Bexley, Ohio, United States, an enclave of Columbus. It serves students from 3 years old to 12th grade and it is the only all-girls high school in Franklin County.

The Elam Drake House was a historic house in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The two-story brick building was constructed in 1856. It featured a one-story north end, built in 1856, with a 1.5-story addition to the south, built between 1856 and 1857. The farmstead, including a barn, summer kitchen, and smoke house, was built by a Elam Drake, a former brick layer and plasterer who constructed many of the city's earliest buildings and later retired to take up farming in 1856. The site stood as an example of farmstead structures typical of the 19th century.The house was listed for four years in a row as one of Columbus's most endangered historic buildings, as recorded by the Columbus Landmarks Foundation. The site, owned by the Columbus Regional Airport Authority, had been at risk for demolition to expand the John Glenn Columbus International Airport. In 2022, the house and surrounding structures were torn down to make way for a new development.

Ohio Dominican University is a private Dominican liberal arts university in Columbus, Ohio. The university has approximately 1,700 students and offers undergraduate degrees in 40 majors as well as nine graduate degree programs.

Bernlohr Stadium is the home stadium to the Capital University Comets. The stadium is located on Capital University's campus in Bexley, Ohio. Capital University is a member of the Ohio Athletic Conference. Bernlohr Stadium is mainly used for football, men's and women's soccer, and men's and women's lacrosse.

John Glenn Columbus International Airport (IATA: CMH, ICAO: KCMH, FAA LID: CMH) is an international airport located 6 miles (9.7 km; 5.2 nmi) east of downtown Columbus, Ohio. Formerly known as Port Columbus International Airport, it is managed by the Columbus Regional Airport Authority, which also oversees operations at Rickenbacker International Airport and Bolton Field. The airport code "CMH" stands for "Columbus Municipal Hangar," the original name of the airport.John Glenn Columbus International Airport is primarily a passenger airport. It provides 148 non-stop flights to 31 airports via nine airlines daily.On May 25, 2016, the Ohio General Assembly passed a bill to rename the airport from Port Columbus International Airport to its current name, in honor of astronaut and four-term U.S. senator John Glenn. The name change was unanimously approved by the airport's nine-member board on May 24, 2016. Ohio Governor John Kasich signed the bill into law on June 14, 2016, with the name change becoming official 90 days later. On June 28, 2016, a celebration of the renaming was held and new signage bearing the airport's new name was unveiled.
