Broomfield County Commons Park, a 300-acre (1.2 km2) county park in Broomfield County, Colorado, in the United States, is home to the Paul Derda Recreation Center, County Commons cemetery, 237 acres (0.96 km2) of open space, and the 80-acre (0.32 km2) park and sports complex. On February 20, 2021, United Airlines Flight 328 departed from the nearby Denver International Airport en route to Honolulu, Hawaii. The Boeing 777 aircraft suffered an engine failure four minutes after takeoff that resulted in a debris field at least 1 mile (1.6 km) long that included Commons Park and the surrounding residential area. Parts Departing Aircraft from the affected engine cowling were found in the park. The aircraft returned to Denver International Airport and landed with no reported injuries to passengers or persons on the ground.

Holy Family High School in Broomfield, Colorado, is a Roman Catholic college-preparatory high school located in the technology corridor between Denver and Boulder. The school is operated under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Denver.

Front Range Community College (FRCC) is a public community college with three campuses in Colorado, located in Westminster, Longmont, and Fort Collins. It is the largest community college in Colorado and the most popular transfer institution for the University of Colorado Boulder, Colorado State University, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and CSU Global. The average class size at FRCC is around 15 students. Almost 6,000 FRCC students transfer to four-year colleges in an average year. The college also provides business training and continuing education to more than 5,000 people annually. FRCC recently made Newsweek's list of the top 100 schools in the U.S. for online learning, and the school offers approximately 500 online classes. FRCC traces its heritage to the founding of the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education in 1967, which in 1968 established the North Campus of the Community College of Denver as its first new creation. In 1983 the North Campus was renamed as Front Range Community College and became an independent institution in 1985. In 1988, the Larimer County Voc-Tech Center was incorporated as the Larimer Campus of FRCC. The college is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

Legacy High School (LHS) is a high school located in Broomfield, Colorado that opened in 2000. It is within the Adams 12 Five Star Schools District. The school had 2,182 students for the 2013/2014 school year.

The 1stBank Center (originally the Broomfield Event Center and formerly the Odeum Colorado) was a multi-purpose arena located 15 miles northwest of Downtown Denver, in the city of Broomfield. It was located near the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport and the Flatiron Crossing Mall. Opening in 2006, the arena naming rights belonged to 1stBank, a local financial institution since 2010. The venue was typically used for mid-sized concerts in the Denver Metro area, seating up to 6,500 patrons. From June 2010 until May 2014, the arena housed the Colorado Music Hall of Fame before it moved to its permanent home at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. For sports, it was the home of the Denver Roller Dolls and former home of the Rocky Mountain Rage and Colorado 14ers.

The Butterfly Pavilion is located in Westminster, Colorado. It opened on July 15, 1995, and was the first stand-alone non-profit insect zoo in the United States. The 30,000-square-foot (2,800 m2) facility is situated on 11 acres (4.5 ha) of land, and contains five main exhibit areas to teach visitors about butterflies and other invertebrates. The main exhibit is an indoor rain forest filled with 1,200 free-flying tropical butterflies.The Butterfly Pavilion is a non-profit facility with most of its funding coming from admission fees, corporate sponsorship, and the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) of Colorado. Because it imports non-native insect species, the Pavilion is regulated by the USDA. Butterfly Pavilion is an AZA accredited facility.

Brideun School for Exceptional Children was a school for twice exceptional (2e) children in Lafayette, Colorado. It operated between 2000 and 2006 and received some national attention. It was the first elementary school in United States specifically founded for 2e students.

Standley Lake High School is a public secondary school operated by Jefferson County School District R-1 in Westminster, Colorado, United States. The school is located near 104th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard and is named for nearby Standley Lake. The high school opened in 1988 and a new addition to the southeast corner was opened in 2002. This school has been an I.B. (International Baccalaureate) school since 2012. Area rivalries include Pomona High School and Ralston Valley High School in Arvada and Broomfield High School in Broomfield. The school's male athletic teams include baseball, basketball, football, swimming/diving, cross country, soccer, golf, wrestling, hockey, track, and tennis. Female athletic teams include basketball, cross country, golf, gymnastics, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track, and volleyball. In 2007, after the shootings at Virginia Tech, students at Standley Lake founded an event called Day Without Hate. They asked their classmates to wear white in order to show a commitment and trust in each other to make their school a safer place. The day was an overwhelming success. Since then, over 100,000 students across Colorado and the United States take part in Day Without Hate to show that they will not tolerate violence or hate, and they will reach out to friends and acquaintances and say, "We're all in this together." In 2013, PeaceJam, a non-profit organization that connects students with Nobel Peace Laureates, awarded Standley Lake its annual Global Call to Action Hero Award for the school's efforts around Day Without Hate. Nobel Laureate Betty Williams visited the school to give the prize to the students.The school is recognized for its award-winning extra-curricular programs. The FCCLA has earned the school accolades at the state and national level. The school's newsmagazine, The Lake, has won numerous state and national awards from the Colorado High School Press Association and the National Scholastic Press Association. The school has a long running annual German exchange program where German students stay with American families for one month in May and American students stay with the German families for one month typically in June or July. This program is one of the oldest continuously functioning high school level German exchange programs in the state of Colorado. For more than twenty years the program's partner town was Deggendorf, Bavaria, however it is now Murnau, Bavaria. On January 27, 2014, a sophomore named Vincent Nett attempted suicide by setting himself on fire in the school's cafeteria. Nett doused himself in gasoline immediately prior to the act. The event was directly witnessed by at least sixty fellow students. A faculty member was able to douse the blaze with a fire extinguisher, suffering minor injuries from breaking the glass in order to obtain it. No students were injured, and it was soon determined by police that Nett had no intentions of hurting anyone but himself. Nett suffered burns to 80% of his body in the blaze. He succumbed to his injuries just before 5pm on February 9, 2014.
