Tartu City Museum

Kaarsild ('Arch Bridge') is a pedestrian bridge in Tartu, Estonia. The bridge connects the city's centre and the Ülejõe District.The bridge was built in 1957–1959 on the site of the former Stone Bridge; this bridge was destroyed during WWII.In 2017, the bridge was renovated.At night, the bridge is illuminated with lighting effects.

Emajõe Business Centre (Estonian: Emajõe ärikeskus, colloquially "Plasku" or "Pläsku") is a business centre in Tartu, Estonia. The centre is located at the Emajõgi river. The centre was designed by Kalle Rõõmus. The centre was opened in 1998. The centre has 14 storeys and its height is 52 m.

Tasku Shopping Centre (Estonian: Tasku Keskus, abbreviated Tasku) is a shopping mall in Tartu, Estonia. Next to Tasku is located Emajõe Business Centre.Tasku was opened in 2008. The building was designed by Kalle Rõõmuse. Style of the building is Modern architectism. Arhitektuuribüroo, and interior works were done by Vaikla Disain.Besides many shops, Tasku accommodates also a multiplex cinema Cinamon (until 2020), Dorpat Conference Centre and a large book store (Rahva Raamat).

Tartu Department Store (Estonian: Tartu Kaubamaja) is a shopping mall in Tartu, Estonia. The mall belongs to Tallinna Kaubamaja Grupp. The mall was built in 2005. In 2013, a new children's and home world was opened in Tartu Kaubamaja. In 2015–16, the mall was renovated.

Paraphrase E is one of a series of avant-garde drawings called paraphrases by Ado Vabbe in the Tartu Art Museum.The drawing shows a set of lines that act as partial contours of possible images, such as faces and the rear end of a horse. Ado Vabbe was the first to bring abstraction to Estonia after studying with Vassily Kandinsky and Franz Marc in Munich during the years 1911-1923. The German Expressionist Group Der Blaue Reiter was to have a great influence on his own work, and his "paraphrases" influenced young artists in Estonia.

Tartu Art Museum (Estonian: Tartu Kunstimuuseum) is a state-owned museum of art located in Tartu, Estonia. It was founded in 1940 on a private initiative by the members of local art school Pallas. This is the largest art museum in Southern Estonia. The main collection consists of works of art by Estonian and foreign artists, associated with Estonia, from the 18th century until now. The collection includes around 23,000 items. The museum presents temporary exhibitions drawn from the museum's collection, and in cooperation with Estonian and foreign museums and galleries. Exhibitions are held in a historical building situated by the Town Hall Square of Tartu.

Tartu Public Library (Estonian: Tartu Linnaraamatukogu) is a public library in Tartu, Estonia.Its predecessor was the library which was established in 1913 by Tartu Rahvaraamatukogu Selts. The City Library was established in 1920. In 1928, this library was named into the Central City Library. In 1936, new rooms were finished in Kompanii Street (nowadays, the library is also located in Kompanii Street).Between 1936 and 1937, the library has about 36,000 volumes.Between 1952 and 1987, the library was named in honor of Nikolai Gogol (Estonian: N. Kesklinn (Estonian for "City centre") is a neighbourhood of Tartu, Estonia. It has a population of 6,517 (as of 31 December 2013) and an area of 1.80 km2 (0.69 sq mi).

The Tartu Credit Center Massacre (Estonian: Tartu Krediidikassa massimõrv) was the mass murder of 19 people in the basement of the former Credit Center in Tartu on 14 January 1919.The execution was carried out just before the Bolsheviks withdrew from Tartu by order of the Estonian Counter-Revolutionary Commission of the Commune of the Working People of Estonia. Its best-known victim was Platon, the first Estonian Orthodox bishop.

The Song Celebration Museum (Estonian: Laulupeomuuseum) in Tartu, Estonia is dedicated to the Estonian Song Celebration tradition. The Museum is a part of the Tartu City History Museums. The museum was founded on 19 October 2007.

Raudsild (Iron Bridge) was a footbridge across Emajõgi in Tartu, Estonia, which was opened on 3 June 1993, and dismantled again in 2007. It connected the neighbourhood of Kesklinn (city centre) with Ülejõe. The pedestrian bridge had a minor design flaw which made it gyrate noticeably at even minor impacts, like a normal-sized person jumping or running across it. The bridge was taken apart in 2007 to be replaced by Vabaduse Bridge, a 3-lane traffic bridge opened in the summer of 2009. The bridge was planned to be eventually moved upstream and re-assembled for pedestrian traffic. As of 2016, no action has been taken in this regard. The decision to dismantle Raudsild is sometimes considered being controversial because of the costs and worsening of the conditions for pedestrians in Tartu downtown while not substantially improving the traffic conditions.
