China Beach is a small cove in San Francisco's Sea Cliff neighborhood. It lies between Baker Beach and Lands End and is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. It was previously known as James D. Phelan State Beach Park. It was once used as a campsite for Chinese fishermen. Swimming is not safe at China Beach because of many possible dangers and the lack of lifeguards in the area. At low tides, there are tide pools to discover, and it is sometimes possible to walk to Baker Beach. China Beach offers a view of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Marin Headlands. A marker on the trailhead leading down to the beach states: "CHINA BEACH Since gold rush times, this cove was used as a campsite by many of the Chinese fishermen who worked in and around San Francisco Bay. Their efforts to supply the needs of a young city helped establish one of the area's most important industries and traditions. Gift of Henry & Diana Chung Family 1981."

Sea Cliff (sometimes spelled Seacliff) is a neighborhood in northwestern San Francisco, California. It is known for its large houses and ocean views. Sea Cliff is one of eight master–planned residence parks in San Francisco; its master plan was developed by landscape architect Mark Daniels.

Lincoln Manor is one of the master-planned residence parks in the western neighborhoods of San Francisco, with the others including Sea Cliff, St. Francis Wood, Presidio Terrace, West Clay Park, Forest Hill, Balboa Terrace, Ingleside Terraces, and Jordan Park. Lincoln Manor, established in 1914, is located within the Richmond District, in the Northwest portion of San Francisco. Lincoln Manor is bounded by 36th Avenue to the East, 38th Avenue to the West, Clement Street to the North, Geary Boulevard to the South, and is bisected by Shore View Avenue. The tract features a slight rise in elevation, which provides houses in Lincoln Manor with a view south toward the Pacific Ocean. Its single-family generally large detached homes were developed between approximately 1914-1916 by Lyon & Hoag as a so-called "restricted residence park," built by the S.A. Born Building Company, builders of West Clay Park and Sea Cliff. Lincoln Manor was promoted by its developers as a residence park with ocean views facing south instead of west. The enclave abuts Land's End, Lincoln Park, and the Legion of Honor, and is close to Sea Cliff, the Balboa Street shopping district, and the Katherine Delmar Burke School.

The Holy Virgin Cathedral, also known as Joy of All Who Sorrow (Russian: Радосте-Скорбященский собор), is a Russian Orthodox cathedral in the Richmond District of San Francisco. It is the largest of the six cathedrals of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia, which has over 400 parishes worldwide.

Lincoln Heights is the 24th highest peak in the city of San Francisco, California, at 380 feet. Situated in the northwestestern portion of the city, the hill has the Legion of Honor museum near its peak. Notable features include the Lincoln Park golf course, the Lands End trail system, and some residential neighborhoods in the Richmond District.

The Holocaust Memorial at California Palace of the Legion of Honor is a Holocaust memorial in San Francisco, California, in Lincoln Park, overlooking the Golden Gate. It was created by artist George Segal out of white painted bronze. In 1981 the city invited Segal to submit a design for its competition; his plaster maquette is held by the Jewish Museum in New York. The bronze cast was installed in 1984

The Legion of Honor, formally known as the California Palace of the Legion of Honor, is an art museum in San Francisco, California. Located in Lincoln Park, the Legion of Honor is a component of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, which also administers the de Young Museum.

Golden Gate Cemetery, also called the City Cemetery, and Potter's Field, was a burial ground with 29,000 remains, active between 1870 and approximately 1909 and was located in San Francisco, California. The site of this former cemetery is now Lincoln Park and the Legion of Honor museum.

The Black House was a building that formerly stood at 6114 California St. in San Francisco, California, in the United States. The house was used by Anton LaVey as the headquarters of his Church of Satan from 1966 until his death in 1997. LaVey conducted Satanic seminars and rituals at the house; one of the most notorious such rituals was the Satanic baptism of his daughter Zeena Schreck in 1967, punctuated by LaVey speaking the words "Hail Zeena! Hail Satan!" over the nude body of a female acting as the 'Satanic Altar'. Public ceremonies were performed at the house until 1972. LaVey lost ownership of the house in 1991 as the result of a court settlement resulting from his separation from Diane Hegarty, but LaVey was allowed to reside at the Black House until his death. Following LaVey's death, members of the Church of Satan unsuccessfully attempted to raise funds to repurchase the house, and it was demolished on October 17, 2001. A duplex now stands in its place. Though the building is sometimes referred to as a mansion, photographs of the building taken just before its destruction show that it was a moderately sized single-family home, considerably smaller than the two apartment buildings on either side of the property. According to public records, it was listed at 2,205 square feet (204.9 m2) and constructed in the year 1905.

The Balboa Theater is a historic two-screen movie theater in the Outer Richmond neighborhood of San Francisco, California, US. Since 2012, it is part of the CinemaSF chain. It was formerly known as the New Balboa Theatre and is also called The Balboa.
