Technocity is a technology park an under construction integrated township in Trivandrum,India dedicated to electronics, software, and other information technology (IT). It was conceived in 2005 as the fourth phase of development of Technopark, Technocity is a complete IT City, spread across about 500 acres (200 hectares), which includes not just space for IT/ITES firms but also residential, commercial, hospitality, medical, and educational facilities. The project is a new self-dependent satellite city, which would not strain the resources and infrastructure of the city of Thiruvananthapuram.The units in Technocity include a wide variety of companies engaged in a range of activities, which include embedded software development, enterprise resource planning (ERP), process control software design, engineering and computer-aided design software development, IT Enabled Services (ITES), process re-engineering, animation and e-business. The firms will include domestic companies as well as subsidiaries of multi-national organisations.Technocity is being jointly developed by the Government of Kerala and private developers. The Govt. is represented by Technopark and a special company called the Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Limited (KSITIL). Individual phases of the project will be developed as Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) between KSITIL and individual developers. KSITIL plans to hold 26% equity share in all the SPVs. Once fully operational, Technocity is expected to create about 200,000 employment opportunities.

Asian School of Business is an AICTE ( All India Council for Technical Education) approved business school located in Technocity West, Pallipuram, Trivandrum, Kerala. India. The institution was established in 2005. Its aim is to facilitate and promote studies and research with a focus on professional education. The flagship programme of Asian School of Business (ASB) was the "Postgraduate Diploma in Management" (PGDM). The IIM Bill 2017 permitted the IIMs to change the nomenclature of their two-year Post Graduate Programme from PGDM to MBA. Asian School of Business also decided to change the nomenclature and approached the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) Kochi for recognition of the programme. In April 2019, the University approved the request and Asian School of Business started to offer the MBA programme with the degree being conferred by CUSAT. The programme combines the rigour of the CUSAT MBA and the industry orientation of the earlier PGDM programme. Specializations are offered in the domains of marketing, finance, human resources and operations. Admission to these programmes is through a Common Entrance Test followed by group discussion and interview. As per the directives of the Admission Supervisory Council appointed by the Government of Kerala, the accepted entrance tests are CAT, CMAT and KMAT. The Two Year Full-Time MBA programme is also approved by the AICTE, New Delhi.

Karicharakadavu is a small village in Andoorkonam Panchayat, situated to the north around 8.5 km from Kazhakuttom town and around 4 km from Kaniyapuram. It is situated on the banks of the "Parvathyputhenaar"- a canal constructed by the "Duraay" - a term for the "Pathan contractors", who were part of Tipu Sultan's Military and had settled in Kerala during the reign of HE Marthanda Varma. The "Duraay", traditionally warriors on horseback were sent in by Tipu Sulthan to assist HE Marthanda Varma in controlling the internal rebellion that was taking place during the pre-independence time. The pathans or the Dekhini Muslims - residents of this small village are descendants of the "Duraay" and speak Urdu at homes. Traditionally a coir business belt which has dwindled over the years as coir prices have fallen. A coir workers welfare society operates here. Karicharakadavu has an old Devi temple called the Karichara Bhagavathy temple, known as locally PARAKKARIKKOVIL which is believed to be around 250 years old.

Andoorkonam is an area in Trivandrum city in the Indian state of Kerala.It is located approximately 20 km from the Thiruvananthapuram city. Andoorkonam is noted for its reserves of Kaolinite (china clay). The temple of Sree Ramadasa Ashram is nearby.

Kaniyapuram is a residential and IT industrial area of Thiruvananthapuram metropolitan area of Trivandrum city around 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. The main centre of Kaniyapuram area is located in NH-66 in between Kazhakkoottam and Pallippuram CRPF Base. The Kaniyapuram locality (Kaniyapuram pradesam) is a vast area and expands to; Andoorkonam in the East, Parvathy Puthanar in the West, Vetturoad in the South and Pallippuram (CRPF Base) in the North. The Kaniyapuram town belongs to the Andoorkonam Panchayat, although Andoorkonam still remains a village 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) to the east.The main town in Kaniyapuram is Alummoodu junction.

LVHS Pothencode aka Lekshmi Vilasom High School Pothencode is a school in Thiruvananthapuram Education district. It was founded by Murukkumpuzha Anantha Bhavan Sree Kunjan Muthalali in the name of his mother Smt Lekshmi in 1964. The present manager of the school is Sri K Prabhullachandran. The school is located in Karoor ward of Pothencode panchayat at a distance of about 20 km from Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala. The school which began with 168 students in standard 8th with a few staff headed by Sri P C Nadar Sir the first head master has now grown to a strength of about 2000 students in standards 8th 9th and 10th with nearly 75 staff members. The new block of the school was inaugurated on 29 June 1965 by Kerala Chief Minister R Shankar.

Kadinamkulam is a panchayat and the northern suburb of Trivandrum City. It is one of the residential and industrial area of Trivandrum City in Kerala, India. It is situated 22 km north of Trivandrum, 20 km from Varkala, 20 km from the Trivandrum International Airport and 22 km from Trivandrum Central Railway station and bus station. National Highway 66 is also 8 km away. Kadinamkulam is surrounded by Kadinamkulam Kayal to the east, the Arabian Sea to the west, Puthucurichy to the north and Channankara to the south. Kadinamkulam forms part of Kadinamkulam panchayat of Trivandrum district. Kinfra international apparel park, Marian Engineering College etc. are situated in Kadinamkulam. In the 2011 census it had a population of 28,868 in 6286 households.

Sainik School Kazhakootam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, is a residential school for boys under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, located approximately 18 km away from Thiruvananthapuram city beside Kazhakoottam - Venjarammoodu bypass and 1 km away from National Highway 66. The concept of Sainik Schools originated in the mind of late V. K. Krishna Menon, who was India's first Defence Minister from 1957 to 1962. The objective was to set up schools run on military lines, in each state of India, which would facilitate the grooming of bright young boys for intake into the National Defence Academy, thus, rectifying the regional and class imbalance in the officer cadre of the Indian Military. It follows a concept of rigorous military training which is not for the faint-hearted.

Marianad (also spelled Mariyanadu or Mariyanad) is a coastal town in south Indian state of Kerala. It belongs to Kadinamkulam grama panchayat in Thiruvananthapuram district of southern Kerala. Marianad is 25 KM away from Thiruvananthapuram city which is both district headquarters and state capital. Marianad is under the area of Puthukurichy post office and PIN code is 695303.It is part of the Attingal Lok Sabha constituency History Marianad was founded by Bishop Peter Bernard Periera who was the head of the Latin church in Thiruvananthapuram with the help of the Social Service society and other social volunteers. One of the known volunteers was an Italian nurse Lauretta Farina (from Caravaggio, Bergamo, Lombardia) who coordinated schools, health clinics, sports clubs, women's collective, etc. In the late 1970s, the fishers founded cooperative societies to avoid merchant money lenders to sell their fish.
