The Apostolic Nunciature to Burkina Faso is an ecclesiastical office of the Catholic Church in Burkina Faso. It is a diplomatic post of the Holy See, whose representative is called the Apostolic Nuncio with the rank of an ambassador. The building that once housed the Association for the Development of African Architecture and Urban Planning (ADAUA) was renovated to accommodate the museum. The building is in Sudanese Sahelian style with dome-shaped roofs. It is in the centre of the city and is easily accessible to the general public. The first collection, put together between September 1998 and March 1999, is constantly growing. Instruments from all families are represented including aerophones, membranophones, idiophones and chordophones. Each object is the only one of its kind and varies from 5 to 200 years in age. The UO consists of seven Training and Research Units (UFR) and one institute.In 1995 a second campus for professional education known as the University Polytechnique of Bobo (UPB) was opened in the city of Bobo Dioulasso A third campus for teacher training/trainers opened in Koudougou in 1996; in 2005, it became the University of Koudougou. The university had around 40,000 students in 2010 (83% of the national population of university students).
