The Skinner Building is a historic building in Albuquerque, New Mexico, considered to be one of the best examples of Art Deco architecture in the city. Originally a grocery store owned by J.A. Skinner, it was designed by local architect A.W. Boehning and built in 1931. The building is of brick construction, with a street facade of white terra cotta tile on the north and west sides. Its exterior features a variety of decorative details including fluted towers, grill work, stained glass, and geometric patterns. The Skinner Building was added to the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties and the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.A controversial balcony was added to the building in 2001 after being narrowly approved by the city Landmarks and Urban Conservation Commission, with one commissioner resigning in protest over the decision. As required by the city, the balcony is freestanding and does not actually touch the building.

The John Milne House is a historic house in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was built in 1917 by John Milne (1880–1956), who was superintendent of Albuquerque Public Schools for 45 years, from 1911 to 1956. During his tenure, he oversaw the growth of the school district from about 1,500 students to more than 38,000. The property was added to the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties in 1985 and the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.The house is a two-story, stuccoed frame building with a hip roof and full-width porch. It is rectangular in plan with a rear extension. The architecture is simplified Prairie School, with broad overhanging eaves and carved rafters. The front elevation has paired windows placed at the edges of the second floor, emphasizing the horizontal dimension. Wood-framed 3-over-1 sash windows are used throughout the house.

The Eller Apartments are a historic apartment building in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The apartments were built in 1922 by Dr. Charles A. Eller (1879–1967), a prominent local dentist, and are believed to be the city's second oldest apartments after the Washington Apartments. The building was designed by Trost & Trost of El Paso and built by E. J. Marchant, the same team who completed the no longer extant Castle Apartments the same year. The apartments were positioned at the luxury end of the market and were home to well-known residents including former Governor Merritt C. Mechem. The building was added to the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties in 1983 and the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.The apartment block is a two-story brick building containing 12 apartments. The front elevation is divided into three pedimented brick sections separated by enclosed sun porches. The center section has two small balconies on each floor and is decorated with a small medallion with the name "Eller". The property was renovated in 1984, converting the downstairs apartments into law offices and small retail spaces.

The Hudson House is a historic house in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was built in 1906 by Clarence Hudson, a painter and interior decorator who owned a poster company, and his wife Rose. After their respective deaths, the house was converted into apartments in 1941 with the addition of side and rear wings. The side addition was designed by Tom Danahy, who designed a number of other buildings in the city including the Jones Motor Company. The building was renovated in the 1980s and converted into law offices. It was added to the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties in 1981 and the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.The house is a 2+1⁄2-story frame building with a gambrel roof and a large two-story porch supported by simple square pillars which are reminiscent of the Territorial Style. The exterior is entirely covered in wooden shingles with simple wood trim. The west end of the front elevation has a double-height bay window topped by a peaked roof, while there is a one-bay addition at the east end which was designed to blend with the existing building. The property also includes a gambrel-roofed frame carriage house, probably dating to the same period as the main house.

The John Pearce House is a historic house in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is notable for its architecture and as the only extant house on the Downtown section of Central Avenue, which is otherwise occupied entirely by commercial buildings. The house was built in 1905 by Dr. John F. Pearce (c. 1859–1937), one of the city's first physicians. The contractor, Wallace Hesselden, also built the Henry Mann House the same year. After Pearce moved out of the house in 1933, it was used for various functions including a boarding house and chiropractic clinic. In 1982, the house was renovated and converted to office space. The architect for the renovation was Antoine Predock. The property was added to the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties and the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It is next door to another historic structure, the Skinner Building. The house is a two-and-a-half-story building generally adhering to the American Foursquare design, with a rectangular plan, a pyramidal hipped roof with dormers on three sides, and a full-width porch. The ground floor and porch columns are faced with dark-colored clinker brick, while the second floor is stuccoed with half-timbering reminiscent of the Tudor Revival style. Both of these wall treatments are unusual for Albuquerque. The clinker brick was also used to build a wall and walkway in front of the house.

The J. H. O'Rielly House is a historic Queen Anne style home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was built around 1904 by H. H. Tilton, a local real estate developer, and was originally rented to J. H. O'Rielly, who owned a drugstore and was also a manager at the Occidental Life Insurance Company. O'Rielly bought the house in 1909 and continued to live there until 1917. The house was added to the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties in 1977 and the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.The O'Rielly House is a two-story, hip-roofed building with a brick first floor and shingled frame second floor. It is rectangular in plan, with bay windows on the north and west elevations on either side of a corner porch which is oriented at 45 degrees to the rest of the house. The windows are wood-framed double-hung units; those on the first floor are set in arched openings with stone sills and some have ornamental stained glass panes. A two-story frame addition was constructed at the rear of the house sometime in the 1920s.

The Southern Union Gas Company Building is a historic building in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico, which is notable as one of the earliest International style buildings in the city. Built in 1951, it was the largest of several Southern Union offices around the state designed by southwestern architect John Gaw Meem. Meem was much better known for working in the Pueblo Revival style but did design a handful of other modernist buildings, such as the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center.Meem completed the design for the Southern Union building in 1949, intending to "project the image of a progressive, public-spirited company". The building has two stories, with the former appliance showroom on the ground floor and a multipurpose "hospitality room" upstairs. The main showroom space is 17 feet (5.2 m) high, with a sweeping staircase to the upper level and expansive plate-glass windows on the south and west sides.The Southern Union Building was added to the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties in 2003 and the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. In 2004–5, the then-vacant building was renovated and converted into a Flying Star restaurant at a cost of $3.5 million. The Flying Star location closed in October 2015 as part of the chain's bankruptcy proceedings. Just two months later, it was announced that the building would house the Albuquerque offices of Rural Sourcing, Inc., an Atlanta-based tech company. The building was renovated a second time in order to convert the restaurant space to offices, costing over $1 million.

The Newlander Apartments are a historic apartment building in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Originally built as a single-family house in 1901 and expanded via a number of additions, it is notable as a well-preserved example of the small boarding houses and apartment buildings that housed much of Albuquerque's working-class population in the early 20th century. The building is listed in the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties and the National Register of Historic Places.

Founded in 2014 by Nancy Zastudil, Central Features Contemporary Art is a contemporary art gallery located in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico. The gallery exhibits a range of visual media but its focus is on the importance of art-making and the roles artists play in environmental and social issues. The gallery participates in Albuquerque’s creative economy by partnering with local artists and businesses to present events and programs that highlight collaboration including an artist-led dinner with Dig & Serve, On the Map: Unfolding Albuquerque Art + Design, and PhotoSummer. Included in the Central Features exhibition program is Pacific Exhibits, a downtown Albuquerque window exhibition space dedicated to showcasing local artists.The gallery roster of artists include primarily emerging and mid-career artists based in Albuquerque including Nina Elder, Jami Porter Lara, Jessamyn Lovell, Jennifer Nehrbass, and Raychael Stine.

Richard Levy Gallery, established in 1991 in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico, specializes in contemporary art. The gallery program includes work by John Baldessari, Thomas Barrow, Wilson Bentley, William Betts, Debra Bloomfield, Xuan Chen, John Chervinsky, Constance DeJong, Richard Estes, Alex Katz, Jeff Kellar, Jay Kelly, Jenna Kuiper, Isa Leshko, Matt Magee, Rania Matar, Matthew McConville, Emi Ozawa, Gordon Parks, Antoine Predock, Willy Bo Richardson, Ed Ruscha, Manjari Sharma, Eric Tillinghast, Mary Tsiongas, James Turrell, Tom Waldron, and Pablo Zuleta Zahr. The gallery has participated in special global initiatives like 2015 On the Map: Unfolding Albuquerque Art + Design, ISEA 2012: Machine Wilderness and 2009's LAND/ART New Mexico.

The Washington Apartments are a historic apartment complex in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The property is notable as a well-preserved example of early 20th-century apartment construction in the city, along with the Eller Apartments and Newlander Apartments. The apartments were built in 1916 by local businessman James D. Eakin and, as of 1981, had remained relatively unaltered. The complex is listed in the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties and the National Register of Historic Places.

The Main Library is a public library in Downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico and the main branch of the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Library system. Opened in 1975, it was designed by local architect George Pearl and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019. The library is a concrete-framed Brutalist structure designed to maximize the flexibility of the interior space with a modular layout and movable partitions. Pearl considered it one of his "three or four most important" designs. In 2020, the building was designated an Albuquerque historic landmark.
