Lochgair

Loch Gair Hydro-Electric Scheme is a small-scale hydro-electric power station, built by the North of Scotland Hydro-Electric Board and commissioned in 1956. It is located near Lochgair, a hamlet to the north-east of Lochgilphead, Argyll and Bute in Scotland. It was originally designed to supply power to Lochgilphead and the surrounding communities, but is now connected to the National Grid.

Asknish (Scottish Gaelic: Aisginis) is a village in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The hamlet is made up of a large detached house (Asknish house) and farm buildings with a lodge and two other dwellings nearby on the A83 road. Asknish House has been a Category B listed building since 1971.

Otter Ferry (Scottish Gaelic: An Oitir) is a settlement on the Cowal Peninsula, in Argyll and Bute, west of Scotland, formerly the site of a ferry across Loch Fyne. Otter Ferry is situated 9 miles from Portavadie from where there is a ferry to Tarbert, in Kintyre, operated by Caledonian MacBrayne.

Argyll and Bute Hospital was a mental health facility in Lochgilphead, Scotland. The original building (sometimes referred to as the West House) is a Grade C listed building. The hospital is managed by NHS Highland.

Mid Argyll Community Hospital is a community hospital in Blarbuie Road, Lochgilphead, Scotland. It is managed by NHS Highland.

Lochgilphead High School in Lochgilphead, Argyll is a secondary school servicing around 500-700 students. A new campus has been built in 2007 incorporating Lochgilphead High School, Lochgilphead Primary School and the White Gates Learning Centre. The roof of the incorporated sports centre was blown off by fast winds shortly after completion, and the main entrance door blew in due to fast winds and stormy weather. The £17,000,000 Lochgilphead Joint Campus Construction began in 2004 and was complete in October 2007 then it was officially opened in May 2008. The Building turned 14 years old in October 2021, in October 2022 the building will turn 15 years old which is half way through the lifespan that these buildings are given. Kilmory Castle, also known as Kilmory House, is a large 19th century house located just to the south of Lochgilphead, in old county Argyll, on the west coast of Scotland. It is currently occupied by the headquarters of the Argyll and Bute Council. The gardens are open to the public and form part of a country park on the former estate. The house is protected as a category B listed building.

Lochgilphead (; Scottish Gaelic: Ceann Loch Gilb [kʲʰan̪ˠ l̪ˠɔx ˈkʲilip]) is a town and former burgh in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, with a population of around 2,300 people. It is the administrative centre of Argyll and Bute Council. The village lies at the end of Loch Gilp (a branch of Loch Fyne) and lies on the banks of the Crinan Canal. Lochgilphead sits on the A83, with Ardrishaig 2 miles (3 km) to the south and Inveraray 24 miles (39 km) to the north-east; Oban lies 37 miles (60 km) north on the A816. The council is based at Kilmory Castle, around which is located a woodland park and an Iron Age fort. Forestry and Land Scotland also have an office there.

Loch Gilp (Scottish Gaelic: Loch Gilp) is a small inlet on Loch Fyne, Argyll and Bute, west of Scotland. Which gives its name to Lochgilphead. The Crinan Canal extends from the loch across to Crinan itself.

Kilfinan is a hamlet on the Cowal Peninsula, in Argyll and Bute, west of Scotland. Located on the eastern side of Loch Fyne, the hamlet is 4 miles (6.4 km) northwest of the village of Tighnabruaich. Kilfinan is the burial place of the clan chiefs of the Lamonts, in the 13th-century Kilfinan Parish Church. The hamlet is also home to the Kilfinan Hotel for over 300 years which started off as a coaching inn.

Aray Bridge, also known as Inveraray Bridge, is a stone two-arch public road bridge on the Inveraray Castle estate near Inveraray in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, carrying the A83 road over the mouth of the River Aray where it flows into Loch Fyne.

Ardrishaig (Scottish Gaelic: Àird Driseig) is a coastal village on Loch Gilp, at the southern (eastern) entrance to the Crinan Canal in Argyll and Bute in the west of Scotland. It lies immediately to the south of Lochgilphead, with the nearest larger town being Oban.
