Dyce Work Camp was set up in August 1916 at quarries north-west of Aberdeen, Scotland, to accommodate conscientious objectors who had been in prison for refusing military service in World War I. These men, mostly from England, had been released on the condition that they performed "work of national importance" – breaking up granite rock to produce stone for road building. The conditions in the tented camp near the village of Dyce were poor, exacerbated by the very wet weather, and one man died of pneumonia without receiving medical treatment. Following an inquiry and a debate in parliament, the camp was closed in October 1916, with the ministerial statement that it had always been intended to be only temporary.

Kirkhill Forest is a forest in Scotland, situated to the north-west of Aberdeen, on the north side of the A96 between the villages of Dyce and Blackburn. Kirkhill is a working forest with a network of paths for walking, a permanent orienteering trail, and a mountain bike fun park.

Craibstone Park and Ride is a park and ride facility near Dyce, Scotland. It is one of three such facilities near the city of Aberdeen, the other two being situated at Kingswells and Bridge of Don.

Fintray House Hillclimb is a speed motorsport event held near Hatton of Fintray, in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Each event is a separate round of the Scottish Hillclimb Championship and the Highland Speed Championship, sponsored by Plenderleath Runcie. The venue is a working farm for the majority of the year but Grampian Automobile Club (GAC) stage two, two-day events each year. The venue has been used since the 1960s, and continues to see record entries.Initially run by Aberdeen & District Motor Club (ADMC), the event used to run as a National counter in the British Hill Climb Championship. Willie Forbes won here in 1967 driving a Lotus 35 in a record time of 28.11 sec on the 620-yard hill. Willie Forbes won the 1969 round in his Lola T142-Chevrolet in a time of 30.83 sec. In 1971 David Hepworth, Hepworth FF four-wheel-drive beat his existing record time of 29.9 seconds by four-tenths of a second and took another BTD.In 1989, Autosport magazine said "Martin Bolsover's outright Fintray record had stood for so long people had almost forgotten it was there. His magical 1982 run was the only single sub-26s climb in the history of the hill, and, at 25.99s, only a shade under it too." On 25 June 1989 Roy Lane, Pilbeam MP58-1 DFL 4-litre, broke the longstanding record convincingly with a run of 25.72 sec at the British Championship meeting. The current track record of 25.28 was set in 2009 by Stewart Robb Jnr, breaking the previous record of 20 years' standing, set by Roy Lane in 1989. Stewart Robb Jr finally broke the hill record at Grampian MC’s short, 725 yard hill at Fintray, near Aberdeen on Saturday 8 August 2009. Robb’s father, Stewart Sr, was first inside the record – by a mere hundredth – aboard their 4-litre Pilbeam-Judd MP88. But on a day when nine class records were reset, his son applied the coup de grace on the last run of the day with a 25.28.

Aberdeen International Business Park (AIBP) is a major commercial building project located on the south eastern edge of Aberdeen International Airport, at Dyce, with direct road links to the Scottish motorway network, and close to Dyce railway station. The park's 40 acres will eventually provide up to 92,000 sq m of development, including offices, shops, leisure facilities and at least one 4-star hotel. AIBP's first phase set records in 2014 as Scotland's biggest single office-letting deal, after Norwegian oilfield services giant Aker Solutions leased 31,100 sq m of space, including its own purpose-built leisure facilities.

The Dyce stones are a collection of Pictish and Early Medieval sculptured stones that are housed in a shelter in the ruined St Fergus's Chapel, Dyce, Aberdeen, Scotland. There are two larger stones, known as Dyce I and Dyce II, that bear idiomatically Pictish symbols, as well as several smaller sculptured stones.

Barra Castle is an unusual L-plan tower house dating from the early 16th century, about two miles (three kilometres) south of Oldmeldrum, above the Lochter Burn, in the parish of Bourtie,Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It occupies the site of the Battle of Inverurie (1308), in which Robert Bruce defeated John Comyn, Earl of Buchan.

Aberdeen International Airport (Scottish Gaelic: Port-adhair Eadar-nàiseanta Obar Dheathain) (IATA: ABZ, ICAO: EGPD) is an international airport, located in the Dyce suburb of Aberdeen, Scotland, approximately 5 nautical miles (9.3 km; 5.8 mi) northwest of Aberdeen city centre. A total of just under 3.1 million passengers used the airport in 2017, an increase of 4.6% compared with 2016. The airport is owned and operated by AGS Airports which also owns and operates Glasgow and Southampton airports. It was previously owned and operated by Heathrow Airport Holdings (formerly known as BAA). Aberdeen Airport is a base for Eastern Airways and Loganair. The airport also serves as the main heliport for offshore North Sea oil and gas industry. With the utilisation of newer aircraft, helicopters can reach northernmost platforms on both the east and west of Shetland. The airport has one main passenger terminal, serving all scheduled and charter holiday flights. In addition, there are four terminals dedicated to North Sea helicopter operations, used by Bristow Helicopters, CHC Helicopter, NHV and Babcock Mission Critical Services Offshore. There is also an additional small terminal adjacent to the main passenger terminal, used only for specific oil company charter flights to Sumburgh in Shetland.

Brimmond Hill is a hill in Aberdeen, Scotland. The summit is the highest point within the Aberdeen City council area, at an elevation of 266 m (873 ft). The hill itself is situated in the area between Kingswells, Westhill, Blackburn and Dyce. There is a transmitter on the top of the hill, and there are also paths and a road to the top of the hill. The hill can be reached directly from paths that connect to Kingswells, and at the summit a view across the city of Aberdeen is available.

Dyce railway station is a railway station serving the suburb of Dyce, Aberdeen, Scotland. The station is managed by ScotRail and is on the Aberdeen to Inverness Line, with some trains operating on the Edinburgh to Aberdeen Line and Glasgow to Aberdeen Line also extended to call at Dyce and Inverurie. It is sited 6.25 miles (10.06 kilometres) from Aberdeen, being the first stop north of the station.

Hatton of Fintray, commonly referred to as Fintray, is a village on the River Don in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, in the parish of Fintray. It was a textile village and its church dates from 1821, and there used to be a nearby ferry crossing the river.
