Harrow Hill is an archaeological site in West Sussex, England. It is on the South Downs about 3 miles (5 km) north of the village of Angmering and 5 miles (8 km) north-west of Worthing. There is Neolithic flint mine, and a Martin Down style enclosure of the Bronze Age. The site is a scheduled monument.

Clapham is a rural village and civil parish in the Arun District of West Sussex, England. It lies on varying downslopes and escarpment of the South Downs National Park three miles (5 km) north of Angmering on the A280 road and north of the A27 crossroads. It is adjacent to the village of Patching.

Patching is a small village and civil parish that lies amid the fields and woods of the southern slopes of the South Downs in the National Park in the Arun District of West Sussex, England. It has a visible hill-workings history going back to before the Domesday survey of 1086–7. It is centred four miles (6.4 km) to the east of Arundel and quarter of a mile from Clapham, to the north of the A27 road. The civil parish covers an area of 846.12 hectares (2,090.8 acres). In the centre of the village is the 13th century Church of St John the Divine, restored in 1888. Above the village on the South Downs are groups of neolithic flint mines, represented by slight hollows and mounds.Michelgrove Park, once the site of a great house where Sir William Shelley entertained Henry VIII and later home of the Shelley Baronets, is in the north of the parish. It is crossed by the Monarch's Way long-distance footpath marking the supposed route of Charles II's flight to France in 1651.

The Muntham Court Romano-British site is an archeological site situated on the western edge of the village of Findon in West Sussex. It is a Scheduled Ancient Monument that includes Iron Age and Romano-British settlement.

Muntham Court was a country house and estate near a village of Findon, West Sussex, England. In the 1800s the estate covered 1,890 acres (760 ha). Following the death of Colonel U.O. Thynne in 1957 the estate measuring about 1,025 acres (415 ha) was split up and auctioned off. In 1961 the house was demolished to make way for Worthing Crematorium that opened its doors on 5 January 1968.

Castle Goring is a Grade I listed country house in Worthing, in West Sussex, England about 4.5 miles (7 kilometres) northwest of the town centre. One of Worthing's two Grade I listed buildings (deemed by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport to be of exceptional interest), it has been described by architectural critic Ian Nairn as reflecting "the equivocal taste of the 1790s as well as anywhere in the country."Castle Goring was designed by John Rebecca for Sir Bysshe Shelley, 1st Baronet. It was intended that his grandson, the renowned poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, would live at Castle Goring; however, he drowned in Italy aged 29, so he never took possession of the house. In 1845, Mary Shelley, who inherited the building as widow of the poet, sold it to Vice-Admiral Sir George Brooke-Pechell, RN, who'd been residing at the property as a tenant since 1825. It is currently owned by Lady Colin Campbell.

Titnore Wood is an area of ancient woodland to the north-west of Worthing in West Sussex. With neighbouring Goring Wood it forms one of the last remaining blocks of ancient woodland on the West Sussex coastal plain. Since 2006 land in and around the wood has been the site of a proposed major urban extension to the Worthing suburb of West Durrington. The proposed development has prompted environmental protestors to tree-sit within the wood since May 2006. Since then Worthing Borough Council has agreed to a substantial new housing development just to the east of the woods themselves, as an extension of Durrington. This includes a new school, doctors surgery and around 2000 new houses on agricultural land. Titnore wood is a Site of Nature Conservation Interest, as is neighbouring Goring Wood and Highdown Hill. Much of the site lies within the boundaries of the new South Downs National Park.

Phun City was a rock festival held at Ecclesden Common near Worthing, England, from 24 July to 26 July 1970. Excluding the one-day free concerts in London's Hyde Park, Phun City became the first large-scale free festival in the UK.
