Spring Creek, in Sonoma County, California, is a 6.0-mile-long (9.7 km) stream that rises in the northern part of the Sonoma Mountains within Annadel State Park, draining the western slopes of Bennett Mountain and feeding into Matanzas Creek at Doyle Community Park below the Matanzas Creek Reservoir.The waters of Spring Creek ultimately reach the Pacific Ocean just south of Jenner, California, by way of Matanzas Creek, Santa Rosa Creek, the Laguna de Santa Rosa, Mark West Creek, and the Russian River.

The hospital, known as "Memorial", is part of the Providence Health hospital system. It serves a population of over 500,000 people living in the greater Sonoma County area. Memorial Hospital is the regional Level II Trauma Center for Sonoma County, Lake County, Mendocino County, Napa County, and the Marin County coastal region.On average Santa Rosa Memorial treats 1,450 patients annually who have suffered serious or life-threatening injuries. In 2009 it had more than 31,000 outpatient emergency department visits and more than 7,200 admissions. Between 1998 and 2010 as a level II trauma center it had treated over 15,000 trauma cases.

Rancho Cabeza de Santa Rosa was an 8,885-acre (35.96 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Sonoma County, California given in 1841 by Governor pro tem Manuel Jimeno to María Ygnacia López. The grant was along Santa Rosa Creek, and encompassed present-day Santa Rosa, California.

Cathedral of Saint Eugene is a cathedral of the Roman Catholic Church in the United States. It is the mother church and seat of the diocesan bishop of the Diocese of Santa Rosa in California. It is located in the City of Santa Rosa. The parish was founded in 1950 and it became a cathedral when the Diocese of Santa Rosa was established by Pope John XXIII on January 13, 1962. The cathedral was named for the 7th century Pope Eugene I.

The McDonald Mansion, also known as Mableton, is an historic residence in Santa Rosa, California. It was built in 1876 in the Victorian Stick/Eastlake style as a summer home for the McDonald family, whose primary residence was in San Francisco.After the death of the senior McDonalds, the eldest son Mark Jr. and his wife Isabelle eventually became sole owners of Mableton, and made it their primary residence. By the early 1920s, the two began to extensively remodel Mableton to suit their own tastes.In 1959 Mabelton's exterior was used in the filming of Walt Disney's Pollyanna. However, film editors altered the look of the McDonald house by using matte painting to add several stories to make the building taller, as well as architectural features.In 1977, during a restoration process, a fire destroyed a large part of the house. The owner, Dr. Jack Leissring, rebuilt the house. He sold it in 2005 to technology entrepreneur John Webley and his wife Jennifer. As of 2018, they remain the owners of the house.In 2006, the Rynerson O'Brien Architecture firm began a five-year renovation of the home. The overhaul included restoring the exterior, recreating Victorian theme rooms throughout the home, and adding new features to the backyard.

Montgomery High School is a public high school located in Santa Rosa, California. It is part of the Santa Rosa High School District, which is itself part of Santa Rosa City Schools. Montgomery High School was named after Bill Montgomery. Montgomery is considered the first person from the city of Santa Rosa to have died in World War II. William "Billy" Montgomery was killed at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, while serving aboard the battleship USS California. Montgomery participates in the International Baccalaureate Organization as an IB World School, providing the IB Diploma Programme as well as the full complement of classes available to juniors and seniors. Montgomery High School has been an IB World School since July 1995.On March 1st 2023, a 16 year-old student was stabbed to death by another student on the school’s campus.

Luther Burbank Home and Gardens is a city park containing the former home, greenhouse, gardens, and grave of noted American horticulturist Luther Burbank (1849-1926). It is located at the intersection of Santa Rosa Avenue and Sonoma Avenue in Santa Rosa, California, in the United States. The park is open daily without charge; a fee is charged for guided tours. It is designated as a National Historic Landmark as well as a California Historical Landmark (#234).
